You weren't supposed to live Stone Home as a prey hunter, without a home guard. That is what they said. For moons under training as a prey hunter this was emphasized. You weren't train to fight, you were trained to hunt. The cream and brown she-cat always questioned their system, why it had to be this way...if she ever faced conflict she would die. It would painful, not knowing what to do, how to fight, granted perhaps instinct would take over, the instinct to unsheath your claws and fight for your life. Luckily, the tribe didn't have to do that. It was very rare that conflict occurred. Life was peaceful, tranquil.
She ran forward, paws slamming against the ground. Doe was almost always seen with Talon but this time she had run off. She was sick of having a baby sitter. She wasn't a kit. Her larger paws hit stone, before she was standing on top of some rocks, the swift water crashing behind her. She felt a breeze flow through her fur, SHE WAS FREE! She had planned this for over a moon now, to explore the depths of their territory that were told not to. Home is where you belong, home was where the heart was, but perhaps...not hers. The she-cat let out a triumphant yowl, which was muffled by the crashing water. The she-cat parted her jaws, letting out a snarl it was HER TIME.
She walked towards the edge of the stone, her eyes peering into the large rapids. She stared at her reflection contemplating where her future was, she there was potential to start a family....sure she ran away from Talon, but they were mates after all, and the discussion of a family had come up on more than one occasion but she wasn't ready. She still wanted to explore, to run, to be high paced like she always was. It was so frustrating that others lagged behind her, she curled her lip into an annoyed snarl her to-be if she ever got one would be precise, accurate and smart, she would make sure of that.
The she-cat was pacing on her new throne looking at the land below her their territory was beautiful but there had to be MORE. There was more there had to be. She puffed out her chest, pacing more rapidly, however it was one mis-step changed everything for the worse. The she-cat slipped. She let out a loud yowl which was followed by a loud crash. The rapids started to carry her down the river the last thing she heard was her name being yelled. Her blue eyes wide with fear locked onto Talons, she lifted a paw before a large wave crashed pushing her under the water....
The River is heavy
The current is strong
It's pulling me deeper......
And I can't breathe
I'm struggling
Cause I'm drowning......
