    News traveled quickly to the young apprentice, as it always did in MothClan (not just because she had sneaky ears). There was a new kit in the camp, one that had been found abandoned in their territory. Now Thunderpaw usually didn't like to spend much time in or around the nursery, she had little patience for kits, but this particular one had caught her interest. She made her way over to the hollow where they housed the newcomer, and noticed that the tiny she-cat was outside playing alone. The apprentice blinked in surprise once she caught sight of the small cat. Oh StarClan, she looked kind of like her! The tortie she-cat raced towards the kit, skidding to her paws and almost smashing into the poor thing.

    "Hey, you." She never really knew how to talk to younger cats, but she figured this would do just fine. "What's your name, kid?" She questioned, looking the small furball up and down. Was Cherrynose sure she hadn't miraculously popped out another kid a few moons late? Or maybe her father was hiding something. She'd be sure to question him about it later, though. Thunderpaw didn't bother waiting for her to answer before she hit her with another question. "Do you remember what your parents looked like?" She berated her. The fiery she-cat didn't exactly have a strong suit for coming off as anything but brash. She waved her tail impatiently, continuing to observe her small twin. Though she hadn't heard a peep from the kit yet, she knew she was going to like her. Oh yes, she would take this kit under her wing and teach her the ins-and-outs of MothClan, any cat could be sure of that. They'd be inseparable.

Cherrykit was minding her own business, enjoying the company of a particularly entertaining piece of moss. The poor moss ball has at least been shredded and re-formed a few times already, as evident through the bits and pieces that would sadly fall off as Cherrykit bat it back and forth between her paws. She was comfortable lounged on her stomach with her hind legs stretched out behind her, unintentionally taking up more room than she needed to. Her ears twitched towards the apprentice when she heard herself being addressed.
Cherrykit scanned Thunderpaw up and down, as if she was trying to figure out what type of cat she was. It came off more judgmental than Cherrykit intended, but she didn’t really notice that. Her gaze was more curious at best.

“Who are you and why are you asking so many questions?” She quickly fired one back before even answering the first couple. Cherrykit wanted answers for herself first!

“They gave me a new name here since I didn’t have one before. It’s Cherrykit, but I don’t know what a cherry is.” The youngster suddenly backtracked bluntly, realizing she might get answers if she gives out some answers as well. “And I don’t know. Like cats?” Cherrykit did know what her parents looked like, but had no idea why this bigger version of her wanted to know. Or why it mattered.
