It was a bright, sunny day, and Meow's two most expendable cats had decided to spend some time in the tribe's deep, spooky forest. Heron was very angry, because he was always angry, but Moth wasn't angry at all, because she was never angry. The two home-guards were sauntering through the forest, with little being said between the two.
Heron, though, wasn't just angry. He was also nervous, because he had a widdle kitty crush on good lil' Moth. It really was too bad that they were about to die, but at least he would get to tell her first.
After a few more minutes of silence, Heron suddenly came to a halt. "Moth, I have a thing to tell you, and it is a good thing."
Moth blinked at him. "Wow, cool. What is this good thing you are going to tell me?"
Heron shuffled his paws, feeling a blush rise to his cheeks. "I think that you are cool."
"Wow, cool."
"And also I think that you are hot."
Moth gasped, getting blushies of her own. "Wow, cool."
"Be my mate???"
But Moth didn't have time to answer, because, out of nowhere, a hawk or something swooped out of the branches of a tree and plucked her right off the ground, right in front of Heron.
"MOTH NOOOOOOOOOOooOoo"
Heron's screech echoed through the trees, and he was very angry. He was always angry, but he was really angry now because his true love was dead now.
Suddenly, there were hawks everywhere somehow, and they didn't care that they probably wouldn't actually be able to fly around in the deepwood because trees. They were Convenient To The Plot and Meow needed them.
Heron continued to screech as he tried to attack the hawks as they flew around him, but it was no use. There were just Too Many Hawks, so he started crying. It was all so hopeless. Heron then laid down on the ground, accepting his fate, and a hawk happily picked him up and flew off with him into the sunset.
Both Heron and Moth got eaten, and they never got to actually become mates. What a sad day for the tribe. What a loss.
