It had been warm but not too strongly so, the stiff winds of autumn weaving their way between the trees and into the caves of MistClan territory with a hollow howling sound. The brown-furred leader wove between her clanmates, her pelt almost rusty-colored under the light of the yellowed moon that was hanging low and lazy in the sky tonight. Having made sure that all were there, she lead them through their territory to the Gathering place, where, as a change from the past few moons, they were the first to arrive.

Good, thought Bearstar, gives me some time to consider more carefully what I'd like to discuss this moon. She knew it would be foolish to avoid bringing up the the cats on the journey; everyone would likely be expecting at least some mention of their friends and family who were now a bit over two moons gone and still no sign or word of them at all. Not that there was no good news- MistClan had some new warriors and apprentices to announce tonight, and a small litter of two seemingly fatherless kits.
Nodding briefly to Sabletail and Silverfang, she hopped onto the hollow monster with grace, watching with cool yellow-orange eyes for the other two leaders to emerge.

The warrior felt the wind rush by her whiskers, the sight of the tail in front of her reassuring her of her path. It was a trip she had made a few times, but one she had avoided since her family was split by Auburnfur's departure to MothClan. Wonder if she'll be there, Yellowfern sighed as MistClan poured into the clearing, otherwise empty for now. At least this would give her time to see who was coming in when the other clans arrived. She stood on the edge of her clan's ranks, doing her best not to appear standoffish nor give away that a part of her was hoping to see her sister that night.
