BRACKENFALL - - >
The journey to the Moonstone, to put it one way, was exhausting. They traveled in the dead of night, immediately from the gathering as Brackenfall had instructed his new deputy to lead his Clanmates home, along with Cedarleap to tend to their wounds. There was no time to waste. His muscles ached and pelt burned from fresh wounds that would soon become scars. His eyes felt heavy, no, his entire body just felt, heavy. It wasn't even from the physical trauma, but the emotions running through him after the passing of his leader, his mentor for the past many moons. He'd admired Mothstar's courage and stubbornness. He hoped even an ounce of those traits could be passed onto him. He'd promised to keep MothClan safe. He didn't intend to let the old tom down. He wondered if he'd see him tonight, he was almost certain, but couldn't be sure.
As Jaggedtooth walked up the final hill, the old deputy gave a long sigh. There it was, the entrance to the Moonstone. They passed under some dead wood and into the faint light of the hollow. It didn't take long walking through the tunnel to see the glow of the moonstone. It was magnificent. He wasn't quite sure what he'd imagined, but this had taken his breath away. He looked to his medicine cat for reassurance, before dipping his head to lay beside the great stone. Shutting his eyes, he rested his nose carefully, as if he thought it might shatter into a million pieces. But it stood firm, and the last thing he felt was a cold greater than any leafbare he had ever felt before drifting into a deep...slumber.
(OOC: Any order is fine as long as Pinekit/Applekit/Dovesong post together. Please feel free to powerplay Bracken's reactions slightly if you'd like. Nothing too intense.))
