Requirements
 

+ You must be active

+ You must not have broken any rules in the past three months

+ If you win deputy, you must be willing to be leader should your current leader die
+ If you win leader, you must be willing to do monthly ceremonies and gatherings

+ You must understand that if you ever become inactive, you will be removed from the role. Before this happens, you will be contacted at least once to prompt you to become active again

+ Your character must have trained an apprentice
+ Only characters 30 moons and over please

You may apply with tribe cats AND clan cats. How the new leader and deputy are picked will depend upon who wins.

All members may apply as long as they meet the requirements. This includes brand new members. As long as you meet the requirements and are seen posting active IC content, you have a chance at gaining the role.

You may apply with more than one warrior. Please use separate forms for each character.

Strengths
Calm
Feathercrest is a very calm, collected and rational cat. He normally doesn't let his emotions get out of control and understands when to keep his mouth shut. He keeps personal turmoil, well, personal and knows how to calm other cats as a result. He has a great emotional tolerance and has a 'noble' air surrounding him, despite him being a completely normal cat. Because of his calm temperament, it can be hard to read his emotions, which helps him make big decisions without looking like a bias to one particular side of an argument. He is known to be extremely stoic and usually does not express pain as a mewling kit or whiny apprentice would. He just calmly takes the scars of battle and moves one. Feathercrest uses his brain, not his heart.

Clever
Feathercrest is as clever as a fox. He is adaptable and very well connected to his surroundings. Feathercrest uses his knowledge of the warrior code, the clan territory, and cat tendencies to his advantage in arguments, war, and survival. Because he can maintain a straight face and is known for being calm and collected, Feathercrest can come off as very smooth and convincing, even if he knows he is in the wrong. This cleverness means that he is extremely tactical, and is a great strategist. His sharp gaze can be intimidating, and his lithe figure matches his cunning tendencies. To add to this, his paws are small and makes little noise when treading on the ground, assisting him in being able to elude quickly and aiding him in ambushes.

Strong Belief In Starclan
Feathercrest has strong trust in Starclan. He firmly believes their existence and enjoys talking about them to others. He is great at providing information regarding the topic and is good at introducing Starclan to cats who don't quite understand or believe in them. He has faith that Starclan has a reason for everything and that as long as cats believe in Starclan and follow the warrior code, they will join the ranks of starry hunters. This is one of the few topics that Feathercrest gets truly emotional over and can discuss Starclan for hours. He always makes sure that his apprentices are well aware of the warrior code and becomes severely disappointed when they break the code. 

Good Hunting Skills
Feathercrest has large ears which help with hearing. His quiet paws also help him sneak up on prey and his sensitive hearing helps him track it down. Being quick on his feet, Feathercrest has a keen intuition on where prey is located and tries his best to remember what prey is common and where. That way, when prey is short, he may be the first to notice it. He has good self-control and while he isn't great at climbing, he is very good at giving chase, and that's what puts him at an advantage when it comes to hunting. 

Adaptive And Adjusts To Change
Feathercrest is very flexible and is open to change. While he usually will not change his beliefs or personal values, he is tolerant of other beliefs and ideals. This doesn't just apply to a social standpoint though- this also means that he is adaptive to new territory, new prey, and new treatment of wounds. Feathercrest is naturally curious and willing to learn about the world around him. After all, there isn't a bigger advantage in a fight than knowing what surrounds you and how you can use that to your advantage. Fighting isn't always about claws. Sometimes it's about nature doing the work for you. And that's not a bad thing, after all, nature provides the cats with food and the cats provide nature with life. In Feathercrest's eyes, we should change our ways as nature changes its own, as it is what Starclan wills.

Weaknesses: 
Cold
At times, Feathercrest can be cold as ice, with seemingly no emotion toward anything in particular. He can become so stone-faced and emotionless that one would think the cat has never felt a thing. This makes him rather intimidating to many cats, young cats in particular. The way that Feathercrest carries himself at times is enough to make a kit hide behind their mother. Even the way he speaks can be emotionless and calculating. This won't really paint him in a good light to newcomers, as Feathercrest isn't one to open up right away unless he knows a cat well. His expressions can be hard to read, particularly when dealing out punishment, and when he glares at a cat in disdain, it can be like jade spears piercing the mind. Eventually, he will open up as he gets to know cats better, but he tends to make less-than-optimal first impressions because of his coldness, especially at times where he genuinely wants to get to know a cat.

Weak In Combat
Although immensely clever, Feathercrest lacks strength and force. His claws are sharp and long, but his arm strength is easily outmatched, He balances this out with great cunning, but in one-on-one combat with no tricks or perhaps an unfamiliar territory, he is a severe disadvantage. Feathercrest relies on speed and strategy to get his way, and because of that, he is also poor when fighting alone. All it takes is one cat to notice him or his plans and the entire plan is put to a screeching halt. Therefore, he often brings along cats who are willing to hear him out and follow along with his strategy. But, all in all, his scrawny figure does little for him in claw-to-claw fighting.

Solitary and Secretive
If there's one thing that Feathercrest treasures the most, it would be solitude and privacy. Feathercrest cherishes every moment he spends alone, and disrupting him can sometimes ruin both your day and Feathercrest's. He appreciates being left alone sometimes, to collect his thoughts and ponder over the day's happenings. He also very much dislikes cats getting into his business, especially in love, drama, and friendship. He favors cats who abide by this and may be a little more cold to cats who don't really have any respect for personal space, but he will let his close good friends interrupt him with little to no complaint. Typically the closer you are to him, the less he will scold you for breaking the peace.

Quiet
Feathercrest relishes peace. His ears are sensitive, and noise can completely disarm him. As a result, he speaks very quietly and sometimes has a difficult time commanding attention. This is a minor issue and Feathercrest usually picks up on it rather quickly, but it is a long-lasting and repeated habit of his. He usually starts out by saying what he wants in a quiet tone of voice but has to start over because nobody can hear him. And, the cycle repeats. This should hopefully get better with time and effort, and... Maybe as he gets older and starts losing a little hearing.... 

Deceptive and Snakelike
This is a tendency of Feathercrest which can get out of hand quick but rarely comes out if at all. If he is particularly livid, or in outrage, he tends to become very cruel and heartless to relieve this anger. This personality trait of his rarely comes out, however, and it isn't characterized by loud, brutish rage. It is rather noted for his unrelenting vengefulness and deceptive tricks, as he knows he isn't powerful. Cats who don't know better may fall for his trap, and sometimes cats don't even know of his extreme disapproval. This behavior has only come out on one single occasion where he killed Coopertuft in a fight. It's almost always going to be because of a particularly stressful or emotional cause.
Why?: 
For one, Feathercrest is an oriental cat, which means he would fit well with the tribe's members, appearance wise. Another reason why Feathercrest would make a good deputy/leader is because he sticks to the warrior code so diligently, only breaking it once before, which he regrets to this day. He is hardworking, respectful, fierce, and mature. He will treat a clan to the best of his abilities, and will never let a single cat stop the clan from greatness. Feathercrest is a loving and protective father of his kit, Bunnyblossom, and has great dreams and hopes for her in the future. He also treats his apprentices as if they were his kit, as he believes it helps forge a positive bond between mentor and apprentice. he always wants to be remembered as a good-hearted cat, even if he may not seem like it on the surface. Intellectually, he is above average, and he recognizes his flaws and weaknesses quickly. He knows what he should and should not do based on that and as a result, things often go right. He is also organized in his thoughts and speeches and tries his very best to make sure every cat he trusts and respects is given credit where credit is due. An obstacle never stopped this cat, either. After all, if a rock blocks the trail, just go around it.

Feathercrest is also well-known for being a strong leader when he has to be. Hearing about a new clan forming, it wouldn't be surprising if Feathercrest decided to see it for himself. He has a strong nurturing side and if he became the leader he'd treat his clan as his family. Feathercrest handles responsibility extremely well and is a contributing member of the clan. He doesn't normally run off and laze about when he should be doing warrior duties, and he's always one of the last to eat. This doesn't mean he's stubborn and independent, though. Feathercrest also acknowledges other cats' opinions. He doesn't always see himself as right and he will never see his clan as 'stupid'. At most, he might call them 'lazy' but never stupid. No cat raised by the code is stupid unless they break it knowing its importance.

Other:

I have listed his flaws and weaknesses in various shades of blue. The darker the blue, the more that trait contributes to his overall character and the more obvious that trait is. Brighter blues represent traits that rarely pop up, and most cats have to really know him as a cat to truly notice.

Strengths/Positives:

Charismatic
This is perhaps one of Roseheart’s stronger traits when it comes to getting what she wants. She knows how to talk to others, to read them and speak to them, be it a crowd or one on one, to inspire them to follow her and do as she says, to draw out their loyalty and devotion. She can come off as not only interesting and relatable, the way she speaks capable of being very captivating should she put her mind to it, but she can also be very inspirational. She could make the aim of wiping out a whole clan seem like a good deed and something worth fighting for. She just has that certain charm and appeal that she has learnt all her life how to employ when she feels like she needs that extra edge to sway others. This would make it easier to sway the traditions of the Tribe toward those of the clans, convincing them it is worth their while.

Brilliant Actress
Working well alongside her charisma are her acting skills. She tends to change her ‘personality,’ or at the very least the way she approaches others, depending on the situation. Sometimes she may act cold and indifferent, other times she may come off as sweet and caring. Generally she will still hold a certain strength and intrigue to her, but she isn’t opposed to coming off as weak or making a fool of herself just to get support or something that she wants.

Patience & Perseverant
Linking these into one, they are very much a part of who Roseheart is as well. Driven toward what she wants, Roseheart knows better than to rush in like a bull, thinking it better to wait out the best moment like a snake waiting for the perfect time to strike. She likes things done, if not perfect, to the best standard they can be done. Therefore, this requires her to be very patient and willing to settle in for the long haul, to go through things step by step rather than trying to rush. This, in turn, requires her perseverance a well. She is not likely to give up on her goals, and she will keep on going until she succeeds, even even if she must wait patiently for a long time before she can try again. For everything to run smoothly and in order, hard work and patience is a necessity.

Strategic
Alongside her patience and perseverance, Roseheart has a very strategic mind. She approaches many things in calculational, in methodical steps she plans out in her mind. Rather than taking the quickest path, she will aim for the smartest path with the best promise of success. Every approach must be careful and well planned, there is no time for dallying around. This can make her a great leader, or a deadly enemy, so it is best for one to pick their side carefully, because she could either be ensuring you rise above, or plotting your very downfall.

Values Loyalty
If one could view inside Roseheart’s mine, rather than just the falsities she portraye on the surface that made her seem so great and likeable, they would not think her to value others at all. However, in her mind, loyalty is paramount, and therefore would be well rewarded. She would be very tough on anyone who betrayed her, and very watchful of those she suspects, however, those who are loyal may well earn her respect, and with time, perhaps even her trust. She will reward them, and make sure they know she values their loyalty, for she wants to not only encourage their loyalty to remain, but inspire others to be loyal to her as well.



Weaknesses/Negatives:

Calculating
Ruthless scheming, as is the definition of her trait, is very accurate whe it comes to Roseheart. Depending on the situation it may be veiled as something lighter and less menacing, but when it comes to her way she isn’t afraid to break some rules and stab others in the back. Everything is meticulously planned, and she isn’t afraid to take a darker route to get things to where she wants them. It’s best not to get in her way whe she’s scheming - she takes just as kindly to those who ruin her plans as she does to those who are disloyal or do not follow her rules.

Dishonest
As is a given, Roseheart is a very dishonest cat. That sweet and friendly persona is all an act, she isn’t nearly as kind and caring as she seems. Little white lies are just the beginning of the webs she weaves, and even when she’s caught lying, she will often spin her tails so beautifully that it is hard to argue even when you know its wrong. Its very rare she will tell anyone the truth, even if it seems like she’s making some big confession, and this makes her terribly difficult to trust. However, surprisingly she will often keep her promises, so long as she gets something out of doing so.

Manipulative
She schemes, she lies, and she unsurprisingly manipulates. With her acting skills and charisma in tact, she will aim to twist most everyone around her paw. Sometimes she may well view others as a means to an end, something to use to further her goals, but she will certainly put them where she wants them. Alongside exciting loyalty and devotion, she will also draw on guilt and others feeling as though they owe her something. He more on her side, the better, and they may never know what’s coming for them before its too late.

Ambitious
Roseheart is incredibly ambitious. Much of what she does and why are build around these ambitions, though she never makes it clear her end goal, only what she wants done. She will put everything into achieving her goals, even if it means stepping all over everyone else and betraying those who think they’re close to her just to succeed it. Who really knows what her true aims are, though power may certainly be up there. Ultimate control, the world laid at her very paws.

Why?: Roseheart is...an interesting character, to say the least. However, she would still make a good leader, or even deputy. She is very good at swaying others and convincing them, which may make it easier for her to sway the Tribe toward clan ways, perhaps even in a way that makes them truly believe its what’s best for them and that she only has their best interests at heart. I could definitely see her ambitiousness driving her toward taking leadership amongst this new clan, picking up the shattered peices and building them into something strong and stable. She may not be the nicest, and she may be most entirely false, but she would not have her clan needlessly suffer. She is not the type to starve queens or drive away elders, she would encourage strength but keep the clan standing tall and together as one unit. She would sway them toward her and speak strongly in a way that may well convince them to follow her eagerly, and they may well never know what she is truly like. She may be tough, and would definitely reign with an iron paw, her rules well enforced should she be leader, but she does value loyalty and rewards those who stand true to her, for she understands she needs to keep support to keep herself standing strong as well. Without the clan, she too would fall, and so she would build it up to be just as strong and fierce and unpredictable as she is. She would refuse to let the clan be weak, wether it is under her rule entirely, or only partially.

Other: It could be fun, if she became leader, that she may ‘takeover’ the Tribe to morph them into a clan, but in a way that made it seem as though she was doing it solely for them to make them stronger and to ensure their survival - which, likely, it still would. She may be ambitious, but her strategies ensure their wellbeing too.

Strengths :
A natural Leader- When he was a To-be he was often running around with the other To-Bes on large adventures. However, he also knows from right to wrong, so when they thought it would be a good idea to go looking for a Bear, he was the voice of reason, despite the fact his mate whom was a prey hunter was rather interested in the idea and using a smaller to-be as bait. Since then he has been given many tasks and was even assigned as a head home guard from the previous First-Speaker. When First Speaker couldn’t leave camp due to tribe practice it was Talon who lead the entire tribe to war and brought MOST of them home safely. With all of those deceased he took full responsibility. Although not by choice and was puppeted he lead the ceremonies for the tribe, this moon, and during this time Firstspeaker died. He takes full responsibility and hopes his tribe will survive.

Intelligent- Talon isn’t stupid, he can pick right from wrong. He’s book smart and street smart. He can pick out different birds by their calls, knows when something just isn’t right with his tribe mates, and knows how to survive in their dense territory. He knows larger predators tend to hide in the denser more darker part of their territory, so he can send prey hunters to more open spaces where he knows it will be safe. He keeps everyone’s well being in mind for all tasks and often forgets his own. He tends to make decisions based on what’s the best for everyone, and what will protect them. Even if it doesn’t seem like an excellent choice at the time.

Follows a Strong moral code- Talon is rather strict to tribe lore and law. He’s often telling stories to kits about their ancestors and has a strong belief in them. He would never turn his back on them unless of course he was absolutely forced to. He believes all their rules were put in place for a reason such as a home guard fights, where as a Prey hunter only fights if Necessary, kits needing to wait until a certain age to become to-bes, everything is there for a reason and he does NOT want to change that.

Strong-Strong is a word that can be used to describe Talon, not only in brute strength but emotional strength too. He lost his mate Doe to a tragic accident, that in turn brought strangers to his home, yet her has carried on with his duties staying strong in times where perhaps others would be weak. He lost home-guards and prey-hunters during the great battle under his watch when he was supposed to protect them. Despite all this they had to make it home and he brought everyone who he could back to the safety of Stone Home. In terms of physical strength, the secret is to put your heart into it. He fought with all his might to defend the honor of the tribe and himself.

Does what’s best for the tribe—In more recent times, he’s asked Dove, a prey hunter to help teach him hunting techniques to better provide for his family and friends. Although not perfect, and far from it, he could probably successfully catch a mouse or two. He understands that times are changing and it’s important for him to learn everything he possibly can in the coming moons as you never know what’s coming around the corner. It shows that hes dedicated to providing provisions for his home, and won’t even eat until everyone else has eaten first. He has been joining all the extra patrols with Dove to make sure the tribe is well fed. With all the Racket prey has certainly been scarce.

Weaknesses:
Detached-Talon has always struggled to read when others might be upset or want to be left alone. In turn he can come off as pushy when really, he should be empathetic. He’s always struggled since he was a to-be. Since the loss of his mate, whom was really the only one to understand him, he hasn’t had an emotional connection with anyone. He also doesn’t really feel like he has any friends either. He can feel a bit lonely at times, but he just can’t seem to get a grasp on things no matter how hard he tries.

Needs everyone’s approval- Talon strives to get approval from everyone, and sometimes can often delay certain decisions that need to be made. He tries to make EVERYONE happy. This is rather impossible as everyone has distinct personalities, thoughts and feelings. It upsets him when one of his peers may not agree with his choices and call him out on them. He feels if he doesn’t have support or approval it must be wrong and will often go back to the drawing board to come up with a different decision. If someone else isn’t happy, back he goes. He just wants to make everyone happy and approve of him. A task that perhaps may NEVER be 100% complete.

Submissive-Talon despite being a Home-guard has quite the submissive personality when it comes to those who may be stronger than he. Thus, he could be manipulated into making choices that aren’t quite his own. If lives are threatened, he tends to bow down even more than he normally would. Against someone of equal strength he tends to put up more of a verbal defensive fight but will have no issue stepping out of the way if it means an overall safety of others.

Hard to trust others—Although he still thinks the ancestors are out there, in times of hardship he finds it hard to see good in others, especially fang, and believes there are many who might have a hidden agenda. Although he doesn’t make it obvious, he always gives others a second glance to make sure no one is trying to ruin what little hope they have left. Hope is all they must hold on to these days. Especially if they don’t know who is going to live or die in this horrible time of sickness.

Pessimistic—He struggles to find any good when situations get bad. Perhaps it’s because if he expects the worse he won’t be disappointed, but if a bit of light shines through, then his expectations will be more than exceeded. Sometimes he keeps his thoughts to himself, but when trying to connect with others sometimes he lets his thoughts slip and perhaps the negativity brings others down. He doesn’t mean any harm and tries to do well, but sometimes it just doesn’t work that way.

Why:
Talon already has a large presence within the tribe. He’s been around for all the major events and has established himself among his peers. He has even trained a To-be until a full home guard. His first accomplishment being named a head home guard. Firstspeaker would always confide in him when it came to make any large decisions that could put the tribe in danger. From there, he was also chosen to lead the tribe to the great battle which was a couple days journey to get to the clans. He called out the battle cry that started it all, and he was the one to bring them all home, keeping the injured alive, and those able constantly moving. He has the trust from his tribe mates already highly established. His most recent event was doing the naming ceremonies, welcoming the to-bes as full prey hunters within the tribe. Granted it was not his choice. He has also been keeping the tribe together in times of Darkness keeping others safe, in hopes that perhaps their ancestors would come home.

Character Name: Thunder of Coming Storm

Strengths:

Patient - As one of the oldest and most experienced prey-hunters of the tribe, Thunder has had plenty of time to master the art of patience. He's a cat who can be trusted not to act before it is smart to do so, and one who can't be pressured to do something before he's assessed all the risks and rewards of an action. This is something that he also reflects in his interactions with the others of the tribe and those outside it, as he will never lose his cool when they do something that displeases him.

Stoic - Thunder has always been a quiet, stoic tom, one who is impossible to read. He can endure incredible pain and hardship without a single complaint or change in expression, making him a picture of great strength and determination that his fellow prey-hunters can look up to. Even when he's far feeling strong, far from confident in his actions, Thunder will never bow- not for anyone. This is a trait that has served him well in the past, especially while the tribe was recovering from the great battle with the clans. While his tribe mates were at their weakest, mourning those they'd lost and worrying for those who were injured, Thunder was a picture of mental strength as he worked harder than ever before to make sure everyone had enough to eat.

Peaceful - Thunder enjoys life most when the world around him is peaceful. Because of this, his main goal in life is to keep life in the tribe as peaceful as possible, whether that means helping to end arguments among his comrades or speaking up when he believes the tribe is taking a course of action that he disagrees with. If he were to be put in a position of authority, such a trait could serve well in the tribe's quest to join the clans, as he would do his best to calm the unease of his tribe mates and prevent further fights from breaking out with the clans.

Guiding paws - As the eldest prey-hunter, Thunder has been a guide for many worried mentors and overwhelmed to-bes. He's used to providing advice to cats down on their luck, whether it be due to their lack of hunting ability or other general issues. Because of this, Thunder is a good listener, and would function well as someone others could approach with any and all issues they may have.

Weaknesses:

Not a fighter - Due to Thunder's skinny build, he isn't built for physical strength. While he can fight when he needs to protect himself, it's unlikely that he'd be able to take down any well-trained fighters on his own. Rather, Thunder's build is far more suited to the speed and grace required for hunting, as that is what he has been trained for most of his life.

Bad liar - While Thunder has no problems hiding his displeasure or holding his tongue, he's a horrible liar. He tends to stumble over his words and clam up when put in a position where he can't tell the truth, making any little white lie he may tell completely unconvincing. Because of this trait, Thunder prefers to deflect any question that might make him say something incriminating, or simply remain silent if deflecting doesn't work. While this trait might reassure his tribe mates that he's almost always telling the truth, it's something that could possibly cause trouble when speaking to enemy clans.

Strict - Thunder is a calm and peaceful cat, but that doesn't mean that he's a pushover. Thunder is a cat who demands perfection from his tribe mates, someone who will not tolerate cats not pulling their weight, especially when it comes to moody to-bes. Unfortunately, Thunder's strictness sometimes causes him to overlook the circumstances for why a rule was broken or why his tribe mates might not be performing well, meaning that he can occasionally be too harsh with cats he should have been lenient with.

Why?: While Thunder has never been at the forefront of a battle or singled out for his leadership skills by his tribe mates, he's been a loyal and stable member of the tribe for his entire life. He's always been a source of guidance and level-headed advice for his fellow prey-hunters, and has passed on his skills to many to-bes. His stoic nature and maturity would serve well in the tribe's time of crisis, making him one of the few stable, reliable things in the tribe's time of crisis. Though he may be considered a cat of "traditional" thinking, having happily carried out the tribe's customs for over 60 moons, he'd do whatever it takes to carry on the tribe's existence- even changing his beliefs.

Character Name: Screech of Mighty Eagle

Strengths: (Three minimum)

• Protective;

Screech is extremely protective of the whole tribe and would give his life for anyone in the tribe. He would never leave anyone behind no matter the circumstances, even the smallest runt of a kit or the oldest, sickest, weakest elder. He never spends a moment not caring for his tribemates. Screech is the first to volunteer to guard a prey-hunter and last to eat, especially during times of meager food supplies and hungry stomachs. Being a home-guard, he always feels the need to take care of the tribe as though they were his family. Even if most of them aren't related to him by blood, he does his best not to favor cats (even though his efforts, in the end, do nothing to stop his subconscious from favoring cats).

• Determined;

No matter what, Screech always gives 110% at whatever he's doing. After he gets hooked onto something or doing something, it would have to take the most persuasive cat to keep him from continuing. Always doing his best with everything, Screech works hard at everything he does. He never half-asses anything and comes at things with a level head. While others might give up on finding a solution to things, Screech has the brains to continue working at things until he gets them right. He's not stupid or anything, nor the wittiest, but he definitely understands everyday things enough to know how to get them done. Screech is determined to do more than just be a plain warrior, and actually do something with his so far simplistic life.

• Loyal;

His tribe means so much to him, and he is so loyal to the tribe, that he would give his life for the tribe without a second thought. Screech believes the lives of many are more important than the life of one, even if that one is himself. His loyalty to the tribe never wavers, and he proves over and over each day how very loyal he is. Screech values loyalty in his tribemates, too, and will occasionally test the loyalty of his peers. Whenever caught between his tribe and anything else, he will choose the tribe with no second thought, his loyalty shining through every moment possible.

• Open-minded;

Screech is open to new thoughts or ideas, as he believes suggestions may turn the tribe into something even more amazing than it already is. He enjoys critiquing methods and improving things whenever possible, and rarely takes offensive to criticism, even if it comes off rude. He considers all possibilities before going to work, and always knows what to do before he actually does it. Screech responds well to constructive criticism, taking it as an 'opportunity for new opportunities'. He shows this quality nearly every day as he accepts the offers to try out a new fighting technique or meet and talk with cats he doesn't normally do so with.

• Tribe-born;

Screech has a full lineage of tribe cats who never mated with outsiders. He may be accepting towards those outside the tribe, but he himself is not one and is rather trusted by the tribe because of this. This may greatly affect his looks, giving him the standard oriental structure and thick Welsh accent, but it influences his overall aura and persona as well. It gives him a sense of trustworthiness like you could confide in him with whatever you'd like or trust him with responsibilities of your close friends and family. Most others in the tribe know him, and it wouldn't be like welcoming a stranger to the tribe and giving them responsibility for everyone.

Weaknesses: (Three minimum)

• Young;

Screech is in no way your wise old elder who holds great wisdom and has all the greatest stories to tell kits. Rather, at a young age, he isn't very experienced in life. It might take a while for him to understand the responsibility and seriousness of being a deputy or leader. He hasn't seen the entire world and what it holds like others might, giving him a somewhat disadvantage when it comes to some things. This tends to lead him to lose arguments lot, so he may need some teaching from other wiser cats if he is to understand the responsibility of leading a whole tribe.

• Immature;

Along with being quite young, Screech can act quite often even younger than he already is. He's kinda impulsive when it comes to some things, but overall he isn't super serious all the time. Most others are much more mature than him, but nonetheless, he tries to be like them, serious and cold, but he usually fails at doing so. Humor runs his mind, apparently, and he's good at helping others recover by being a personal therapist, but not so much when it comes to decisionmaking and other more dire topics. When things get too stressful, he may crack under the pressure and need someone to lean on while he recovers in silence. 

• Favors some cats;
  

Screech loves his family and friends, and sometimes even too much. He's caring and kindhearted and overall means well, but he prefers his blood family and closest friends over lesser-known cats. It would be rare for him to not favor his family over strangers, but he is still polite and kind to even unknown cats. Quite frequently he may favor one cat over another, with the preferred cat usually being someone he knows personally or cares a lot about. He does this on accident (or so he claims) but his subconscious lets loose when decisionmaking. And, well, his subconscious just really likes his family and friends.

Why?: (Why should your cat be leader/deputy? What do they have to offer the clan? Is anything in their history relevant? Etc.)

Screech has always had that spark, that fiery feeling inside him. He wants to do more for his tribe. More for his whole family, deceased and living. He wants to do more than just protecting the prey-hunters. That work [being a home-guard], he claims, is too 'dull' and 'boring'. Screech finds that he wants to be remembered for more than just being, but rather doing. He can't do important things for his tribe and be remembered for moons to come if he's just sitting around, waiting for death to call him. Life doesn't work like that. He wants to be more than just a home-guard. He wants to be a good, proud leader of RootClan, and help the tribe through their changes into a clan. He wants to help the clan be the best it can, and prove himself worthy of more than just a simple life of a home-guard or warrior. Screech just wants to prove that he can do what no one expected. Lead with the kindness of a mother, the wisdom of an elder, and the strict, fiery passion of a home-guard that still burns and will continue to burn deep inside him.

I would be fine with him being deputy, in fact, I would prefer him to be deputy, as he still needs some room to grow as a character and being the leader right off the bat would limit his abilities to express himself. (if that makes any sense)

Strengths:

Traditional-Despite leaving MistClan in his past, he has grown completely loyal and has a traditionalist views on the code. That means no kits out of camp period. Apprentices should be escorted by a mentor, in times of danger you should go out in pairs etc. That means you can expect that those breaking even the tiniest of codes could end up being punished appropriately. The only rules he breaks which is in extreme necessity would be hunting over boarders. He will never let his clan starve.



Fierce-Eveningblaze does not stand down from any situation. Perhaps also reckless and stupid. Both a weakness and a strength. He will always be there to defend you in your time of need. He will fight tooth and claw for you until he can’t anymore. Not only does his fierce and abrasive personality reflect in battle or conflict it also reflects in his training of apprentices. Perhaps seen by cruel as others, he’s known to turn out some rather strong warriors. Which has kept his previous clan MothClan strong, and would do the same for RootClan.



Bad Cop-Eveningblaze has no issue being the bad guy in terms of Punishment. He isn’t soft perhaps seen more as a negative trait, he sees it positively as he is less likely to stand down against something he believes in. It also means that many won’t get away with code breaks under his watch. He isn’t stupid, and he isn’t afraid to very boldly lay down the law on what is right and wrong.



Will take great care of your queens-Eveningblaze knows that the growth of the clan depends on the queens. Thriving kits means a thriving clan. Queens are the ones who get his softer side. He low key loves kits and enjoys their innocence. He keeps them occupied with Stories and how they can serve their clan in the future. He will also bring hearty meals for the queens as well. In Leafbare he will go hungry if it means a queen is well fed. Queens take care of many lives, so he doesn’t mind sacrificing his own if it means saving more.



Creates Clan Bonds—Coming from MothClan, it might solidify the relationship between MothClan and RootClan creating two strong Clans in the forest instead of just one (at least in his eyes) Coming from the old clans himself, means perhaps there would be SLIGHTLY less conflict between RootClan and the others. Perhaps less so with MothClan, but he would want some sort of peace before settling in and dragging everyone to gatherings where he must face everyone. Same with his new comrades.



WEAKNESSES



Ambitious-Eveningblaze always pictured himself as leader whether it was MistClan before MothClan’s creations, MothClan when Mothstar died and now RootClan. He may overstep his ranking at times but not intentionally. He is not ambitious in a way where he would do harm or hurt someone, but he may try to do foolish things such as push the border markings further to expand territory, etc. He may be quick to start border fights or conflict. Perhaps more with MistClan since he seems to dislike them most, but he probably won’t hesitate with IvyClan either. He would never do such things to MothClan as deep down there is still a lot of loyalty there.


Not Very Popular-His fan base isn’t that large. Perhaps some of his apprentices like him, and of course he has bellfeather these days. He’s good at pissing cats off perhaps because of his cold, bitter, unruling mannerism. In other words he’s not a big ball of sunshine. He did purr once…ONCE. It’s a private thing. He’s not friendly. However, he can be trusted there’s a shiny side to every rusted coin right?


Reckless-Also listed as a strength, this is also a weakness. Eveningblaze has risked his life on MANY occasions. Boar Check! Rogues at a gathering. Check! Rogue Hunt. Check! What hasn’t he volunteered for? Perhaps he just likes to feel like a hero, or enjoys stretching his claws. He’s quick to head dive into situations he doesn’t know much about. At least you can count him in to be at the front during a war. He has the scars to prove it. His most latest adventure is leaving a young warrior in charge of MothClan while he went on an adventure to find Brackenstar in the town.


Not accepting of Outsiders-Rogues, loners, kittypets, go alongside with his traditional beliefs of no outsiders joining the clans. He understands That rogues were once welcome to join MothClan but that was a time of the past. Unless they can A. Show battle prowess and B. Show loyalty, they won’t be going anywhere near RootClan’s camp. He feels the same about IvyClan and MistClan cats joining too, no softies allowed in his mind, and it will be hard to change it. Once his mind is set, that’s about it.


A lot of Injuries-He has injuries that PERHAPS may affect his duty to perform at times. Due to a HUGE facial trauma as a young apprentice, which just got worse in a boar fight, one of his eyes is permanently swollen shut and scarred over for the most part. Half of his face is scarred up, but not pinked over. The swelling at time can cause pain which may cause lapses in judgement and ability to work well. Pain tends to make him cranky.



Why:

Eveningblaze has done a lot for MothClan in the brief time since it creations. He fought of a boar with Pouncefox that could have caused severe damage. That and they ate like kings and queens for a couple moons after that! When rogues threatened the cats at a gathering, Eveningblaze was quick to follow Brackenfalls orders to chase after them, although it was Mudjaw who killed one of them. There was an odd sense of revenge in the Ivyclan’s warriors eyes that just screamed ‘let me do it’ so Eveningblaze did just that!



Things did get quiet for a little while be when the Rogues seemed to pick up action again, killing FeatherClaw, and Volepaw, and of course holding Ruststripe hostage he volunteered to go looking for them, and even did extra patrols himself to make sure the boarders were safe. He was quick to Punish Ruststripe for bringing kits out of the nursery in times of danger, all in all he just wants MothClan to stay safe and thrive. His most latest adventure involved going on a solo mission risking his life to free the cats who were captured by two-legs. As you can see he’s dedicated to his clan mates even if he doesn’t necessarily get along with ALL of them.


Although he doesn’t necessarily want to leave MothClan, as he has basically grown up here, he knows opportunity when he sees it and isn’t afraid to take that leap. He also knows his kits may take interest in the new group with a fresh start on life. He goes where his family goes. Being leader and also being from the original group of three clans, means he could potentially quell conflict. Although he doesn’t REALLY enjoy the idea of joining the side that killed his leader, he realized that they were defending what was there’s. Just as they were. He feels he can turn them around into something great.


Other-Eveningblaze will follow where his kits go. Watching them grow up, and spending more time with Bellfeather has taught him one thing, and that’s family is INCREDIBLY important. If his children want a new life in RootClan, he will follow them. He will not put himself in the position where he would have to potentially fight them at any point in time. Although incredibly loyal to MothClan, he is also Loyal to his family. He doesn’t play favorites in the eye sight of others, he can’t as the current deputy, or even as a leader but if his kits were to ever leave MothClan his heart would be split. Although not usually soft he would follow his kits to the end of time they mean too much to him for him to just give up for a position.
