[Mama]

After his training session with Sweetoak, Halfpaw oddly didn't feel the urge to wake himself back up. Usually by now he would leave to do whatever with activities were planned, but for now he decided to explore this wasteland a bit more.


Blood dripped from a slice on his ear, his chocolate gaze flickering around. In this odd landscape, he'd found most cats had a unique feature to them. Sweetoak had dripping black eyes, for one. He'd only seen a few others though, mostly refraining from searching much.

Keeping his head low but alert, he towered through his surroundings while undergrowth crunched under his step. A short banded tail bounced at his legs, which were long and seemed to never stop growing, and his wild cat face appeared much more threatening in this world.

Shadeheart was sitting curled at the base of a tree, her breathing ragged as usual. Her ear flicked as she heard pawsteps coming near her, and the scent of a new cat. A male, young, most likely an apprentice. She lifted her head up and saw a pretty little male cat, his fur divided straight down the middle, light brown on one side, dark brown on the other. She furrowed her brow. He had no dark stars or any signs of injury, so he must still be alive. She had heard that Sweetoak had been training apprentices through their dreams, but never seen one.
"Hello there, my name is Shadeheart, what's yours?" She asked, standing up.

[Mama]

Naturally, a noise in this desolate forest was odd. So, when some cat spoke, his fur bristled before relaxing as he turned around. He didn't need to start any fights, especially not here. These cats were mostly killers, betrayers, liars. But at that thought, did that mean he was one too?

The hybrid took a deep breath, before speaking. "I'm Halfpaw, nice to meet you." The large tom spoke. His attention turned to her, flickering up and down. She was a dark colored feline with a dappled tail.. and what appeared to be blood. A pang of horror went through his body, before relaxing. He wasn't ready to trust them yet, but so far she seemed alright

"I'm Halfpaw, nice to meet you." The tom said, his eyes flicking over her figure.
"Nice to meet you too Halfpaw." Shadeheart said, smiling. She always felt this way around kits, even if they were apprentices.
"What brings you to the Place of No Stars?" she asked, sitting down and licking at her mouth, the metallic taste of blood covering her tongue, but she stayed quiet as she waited for his answer. Perhaps he was here by accident?

[Mama]

Despite the friendly tone, Halfpaw wasn't sure he was going to be alright with this cat. But, for now, he might as well converse. "I'm here for training, with Sweetoak." The tom bluntly mewed as his ear flicked back. Hesitantly, he sat down, the cold and lifeless ground already giving his fur a musty smell.


Keeping an eye on her, just in case, he continued on. "I'm a living cat, if you couldn't tell. From Mistclan." The hybrid mewed before lapping a paw and swiping it over his injured ear. He seemed to be trying to groom it all off and keep it clean. Then, it would heal nicer.

Shadeheart blinked.
"Tr-training with Sweetoak?" She stammered. Only some of the most hate filled apprentices trained with Sweetoak, but this tom seemed to sweet to have much hate. She watched as he swiped a paw over his ear. She tilted her head at him.
"Did she give you that?" She asked.
"Well of course she did Shadeheart, it is Sweetoak after all." She muttered under her breath, forgetting for a bit that the tom in front of her wasn't dead

[Mama]

Noticing on how scared she reacted, his ears turned back in natural attempt to comfort, even a little. "I'm training to be stronger and protect my family. Not to kill." Halfpaw calmly explained with a flick of his tail and a nose twitch. He doubted Sweetoak was nearby, and he didn't smell her. Then once again... She was a sneaky cat.

"Is there a reason you're in here? I've heard from others about... Sweetoak.. sort of." He mewed with a bit of a shudder. In all honesty... She scared her. He should have thought into his deal a bit more before making it. But he was young and stupid, and it seemed he still was.

Shadeheart smiled at his gesture of comfort, but it dropped when he asked why she was here.
"I...."she sighed. "I lost my kits, and may or may not have killed the one who did it then.....killed myself...." she trailed off and licked at the blood on her jaw again.
"I'm sorry, I'm not really used to talking to others. I mostly try to avoid the other cats here, they usually make fun of me." she dropped her head.
"Why wouldn't they." She muttered to herself.
