Diamond That Shines In Cave padded out of the nursery her belly swollen with kits that would be born within a week or two if not sooner. But other then her belly she was on the thin side. With those strange creatures made of stone and the furless bears, food had been hard to come by though her tribe always tried to make sure she was fed it wasn't easy. Diamond was afraid, afraid for herself and afraid for her yet to be born kits.


That morning was no different she was awoken by the loud growls of the stone creatures that steadily grew closer and closer to their stone home tearing down the trees and scaring off prey. Diamond padded out of her nest and into the clearing where her tribe met. her eyes were huge as she looked at the burning white eyes in the distance. She couldn't see the creatures yet only their eyes. But it wouldn't be long before they ripped their way through the trees and made to their home. They would be here in less than half a moon she had no doubt about it. The only question was would her kits be here yet? Or would she still be pregnant? Or worse yet would she go into labor the day the stone creatures and the furless bears attacked their home. A shiver of fear ran down her spine but even though she was terrified she couldn't remove her gaze from the burning eyes of the stone creatures. It was like they had her frozen in place unable to move.

[Mama]

The noise was downright awful. With the snapping of trees, groaning of wood and lack of good food, Ruby was more stressed then ever. He could probably make a whole new cat with the fur he'd lost, or at least a kit. On the topic of kits, it seemed Smoke has been expecting his kits, and he was worried she wasn't getting nearly enough food. Though he wouldn't admit it, he was babying her a tad too much. But who wouldn't! With the tribe issues and conflict, along with the savages tearing down their Land, there was a lot to be scared of.

Padding out of his den, he saw a young shecat. It seemed she'd been expecting too, though he knew it wasn't really a tom who cared. No one was quite sure who the father was. Either way, she was all alone, and he wasn't going to let that slide. The cinnamon tabby approached besides her and rested his tail on her back. Softly, he lapped her neck. It was not in a romantic matter at all, instead in a friendly, comforting way. "You alright, Diamond?"

Smoke knew her mate meant well and so didn't mind him babying her a bit too much. She understood. Smoke was making her way over to Diamond when she noticed her mate head over. She purred, as she came over to the two. She pressed her pelt against her mate as she came over. She didn't ask as she let the other she-cat answer the question already. She wrapped her tail around her paws.

She has been worried about her mate. She worried about both her Tribemates. She was sure the tribe had a good idea on why Ruby was babying her and maybe a bit too much. Surely they knew why. She hoped Diamond was alright. She was thankful her mate was also to be there for his tribe-mates that were one of the main reason she fell for him.

Diamond was so lost in her fear she never heard Ruby approaching her. It wasn't until she felt his tail that she snapped out of it and practically jumped out of her skin with fright. She let out a sigh when she realized it was just Ruby. She gave him a small smile than sighed at his question. It was the million dollar question, wasn't it? "I don't know... I'm... I'm scared, Ruby." She lifted her head to look at Ruby and spotted his mate at his side. She gave a respectful nod of her head to the she-cat wondering when she was expecting. She imagined not for at least another moon. But for now, she turned her attention back to the stone creatures and their controllers. "What's going to happen to us? What's going to happen to my kits? I'm so scared that they'll be born right as they attack us." She began to shake at the thought of what would happen to her and her kits if that did happen. They would probably all be killed. She didn't want to die, she didn't want her kits to die. She didn't know what to do.

[Mama]

"Hey, hey... please, calm down." He spoke with a worried tone, leaning back as his eyes filled with emotions. In a second, he blinked and looked back to the sources of the noise. "We're all family here. No matter what, I'll defend you with tooth and bone, and I doubt Smoke wouldn't either." Ruby mewed, his attention flickering back down to the oddly spotted feline next to him. "It's a bad time to have kits, I know, and I had no idea Smoke was expecting mine until a few days ago. But the best we can all do is prepare now to suddenly leave. Gather belongings close to you, if any. Take in the last scents of the land, to retell to your kits." The tom looked to his smoked mate with a sigh. "All three of us, we're all in this together. The tribe is here too, to support us. We have to be strong and fight the urge to give up. Do it for the youth, give us all something to survive and battle for."

Smoke nodded agreement to her mate. She only realized she was expecting Ruby's kits the day she told him and her sister as well. "I'm sure the tribe will help us move whenever we move Diamond. I stay by your side whenever we move. So I'm sure Ruby will as well. I'm sure Lighting won't mind either during the move. It is all alright Diamond." she meowed moving from beside her mate to besides the other she-cat.

She let her tail wrap around Diamond's tail as to comfort the other she-cat.

Diamond That Shines In Cave was shaking so bad from fear.  She didn't like the tribe's situation, she didn't like her situation. There was so much that wasn't known right now. 

 "Hey, hey... please, calm down."

Ruby's words pierced through the wall of fear that surrounded Diamonds mind. 

"We're all family here. No matter what, I'll defend you with tooth and bone, and I doubt Smoke wouldn't either."

Diamond blinked and looked at Ruby. He was willing to defend her even though she wasn't his mate or family? Tears began to roll down her face. These tears were tears of relief to know she wouldn't be alone. The tom who had fathered her kits wanted nothing to do with her or the kits and acted like she didn't exist. It was the biggest mistake she had ever made by having that fling with him. She shook her head pushing those thoughts away. 

"All three of us, we're all in this together. The tribe is here too, to support us. We have to be strong and fight the urge to give up. Do it for the youth, give us all something to survive and battle for."

They were right she wasn't alone her tribe would protect her and her kits and now she had Smoke and Ruby willing to help her as well and possibly Lightning. She swallowed and did her best to push her fears away. "I'll... I'll try... for my kits sake, and the sake of the young ones." She gave Smoke and Ruby a small smile. She wished there was a way she could thank them for pulling her out of her fear. "Thank you, both of you." The warmth of the two cats on either side of her felt nice. She wasn't alone anymore.
