Lightning That Strikes Forest had noticed the past few days an odd feeling coming from her sister but she couldn't figure out it was. It wasn't a bad feeling. It was like a warm soft feeling if she had to describe it. Then just yesterday she felt a strange feeling come from her sister. A happy feeling, yet nervous kind of feeling. Lightning hadn't had the time to speak with her sister for the past few days. Things have been hectic with the tribe split in two. She had heard mutterings of Diamond who had been made Cave Guard a couple moons that she was pregnant. A lot of people were nervous about it with the strange stone creatures and furless bears growing ever closer. She pitied the poor she-cat and hoped she and her unborn kits would be fine. As Lightning sat keeping an eye on the stone creatures and their progress she spotted her sister approaching her.

Smoke that Fills Night Sky was filled with excitment and nervousness. Of course, she already told her mate, Ruby. She knew her sister felt something off on her she figured she should tell her sister. She was nervous as she wasn't sure if now was the time to be having kits with the tribe divided and those creatures scaring prey off and cutting trees down.

She noticed her sister and made her way over to her sister and purred. "Hi!" she meowed purring at the excitment of being able to spend time with her sister. She wrapped her tail around her paws.

Lightning purred and ran her tail across her sisters back. "Hi yourself. I haven't seen you in a few days how are you doing? Are you... feeling ok?" She hoped Smoke wasn't sick. They had lost a couple of tribe members to sickness. Could that be the odd feeling she felt coming from her sister? She took in a deep breath breathing in her sister's scent. She was relieved to find no scent of sickness on her so it wasn't that. But what could it be... wait. Lightning took another deep breath her sister's scent was different but not because of sickness. Where had she smelled that scent before? "How are you and Ruby doing?" She looked at her sister up and down and furrowed her brows. Her sister's belly was a little bigger but yet she looked thin like the rest of the tribe how could it be? Then it clicked, the scent, her sister's appearance, the happy yet nervous vibe coming off of her. Her eyes grew big could it be she was pregnant?

"I'm good to thank you. Feeling great really." she meowed. She did feel great. Even greater since she told her mate. But even better she was sure once her sister knew. How were her and Ruby? There was no need to tell her sister. She was sure her sister would have a good idea of how she and Ruby once her sister knows of the kits.

She noticed her sister scenting her and yes her scent has changed. She knew her sister would have an idea as she scented it. She let her sister scent her for a bit and watched her sister's face and figured her sister has figured it out. She couldn't help but purr. "Yes. I'm having Ruby's kits." she meowed. Purring loudly.

"I'm good to thank you. Feeling great really."

Lightning tilted her head and smiled and even laughed a little. Now that she knew what she did she wasn't surprised. Then her sister confirmed her thoughts she was pregnant with Ruby's kits. She purred and pressed against her sister's side. "I'm so happy for you..." Her eyes flickered by to where the stone creatures were cutting down their trees and chewing up their land. "First Diamond, now you. I wish I could say I was happy but really I'm afraid for you two." She flicked her tail towards where the monsters growled and their eyes rarely let the tribe out of their site. "They're getting closer and closer every day. Soon somethings gonna have to be done. We can't stay here I know that. But where we will go I don't know. This isn't a good time to be having kits."

"Nothing I can do about that now," she meowed gently to her sister. She knew it wasn't the best time for kits. But there is nothing she can do about that now. Besides she isn't due for another moon. "Won't be due for another moon or so." she meowed. She was worried, of course, she was sure her sister can pick up on that. She turned to where the monster was and sighed.

She licked her chest fur a few times. Her excitment changed to all the worry she has inside her, and she was sure her sister surely picked that up.

Lightning heard her sister's gentle mews and nodded her head. That was true there was nothing they could do about it now. These kits would come into this world whether they were ready or not. "Well hopefully by the time you have your kits we'll have a safe place for you to have them. But don't worry I don't plan on leaving your side for awhile unless Ruby is with you. I'll make sure one of us is with you at all times to keep you and your precious bundle safe and healthy." Sensing the excitement in her sister change to worry she curled her tail around Smoke and gave her ear a lick. "Don't worry I'll keep you and the kits safe so will Ruby."

Smoke nodded, and let her sister's tail stay against her. "I have no doubt on that." she meowed, letting her emotions go back to normal. She knew the tribe couldn't stay here and so she was sure they will be moving but as to when she wasn't so sure. "Only time will tell when we will be moving. Hopefully soon though," she meowed.

"I am getting worried, Ruby isn't really eating much." she meowed, figuring now was the time to share her other worry besides herself and the unborn kits. She was worried for her mate.

Lightning smiled when Smoke said she had no doubt Lightning wouldn't leave her side. She even chuckled a little when she pictured later on her sister snapping at them to leave her alone and give her some space. But that was just an image in her head that would probably never happen.

Her ears pricked up when Smoke said she was worried about Ruby. "No one is eating much right not Smoke, food is scarce you know that. We need to make sure queens, kits, and to-bes eat first. Once you all have eaten then the rest of the Home Guards and Prey Hunters can eat. He'll be fine though don't worry. I'll have a little chat with him to make sure he is ok."

"Thanks. I know he has taken like four days without eating." she meowed. She knew they had to be sure the queens' kits and to-bes eat first. But she still worried for Ruby since it been four days or so since he has eaten anything. She felt a bit better than her sister would least have a small chat with him to be sure he is okay.

"Told him today, I was only going to eat if we shared something and he ate some of it with him." she meowed. Which was very true. That was the only way she was going to eat before she told her sister today that she was expecting kits.
