Appearance: Aster is a short haired blue tabby mink. He has white on his chin, neck, chest, and stomach. He has large icy blue eyes and large ears. Aster is thin and long-limbed with a long tail. Even though he's thin he is very muscular. He has long white whiskers. His nose is a burnt orangish kind color.
Personality: Aster is a kind sensitive guy who is always willing to lend an ear or a shoulder. He is a deep thinker and if giving a problem given time he can usually solve it no matter how hard or difficult the problem may be. Being first born and the only tom to survive he believes it's his responsibility to look out for not only his siblings but his mother as well. He believes it's his job to take care of them so he's often taken the blame if one of his siblings get into something they shouldn't be or get into trouble. He'll say it was his fault or that he did it so only he will be punished.
History: Aster was born to Diamond that Shines in Cave. No one knows who his father is. Diamond won't tell him, she just says that he wasn't a nice cat. Aster has four siblings and one brother who was born a stillborn but his mother named him and talks about him often so even though he never got the chance to live his litter mates will know his name. They were born the day that the stone creatures attacked their home and forced them to flee.
Edit: During the journey from the home he never got to know his sister Flower Hidden in the Mist died from starvation. Aster Hidden Beneath the Oak blames himself. He believes if he had made sure his sister had more of a chance to feed and if he had made sure she was feeding she would have survived. He is determined to never let one of his family members die again.
When they finally reached their new home Aster was stripped from his full name and became Asterkit. This was confusing to the small tom for it was all he had ever known. All of his siblings had their names changed and not just the kits but every single cat in the tribe which was now a clan called Rootclan? It was very confusing to the little kit. And to make things worse shortly after they found their new home his mother Diamondshine became very sickly and soon passed away. His aunt Smokenight, though he wasn't really his aunt she was as good as was with his mother when she died. Asterkit came to blame Smokenight for his mother dying without coming to get him and his litter mates so they could say goodbye.
