Paper Plate woke up early that morning unable to fall asleep. He had been dreaming about a huge tub of peanut butter so big his whole family could fit in it including his extended family. And he was swimming in it while his family watched and laughed. When he woke up he could still taste the peanut butter in his mouth and smell it on his fur making him crave it even more. He looked around and began to creep as quietly as he could out of his nest. But there were bodies all over the place it was almost impossible to not step on someone. And just as he was about to get out of the tangle of his family he just so happened to step on his sister Egg Shell's tail. He quickly slapped his furless tail over his sister's mouth. then brought his mouth close to her ears. "Ssssh, I'm sorry I didn't mean to step on your tail but please don't make any noise or I won't get out of here to find me some peanut butter." He licked his lips and removed his tail from his sister's mouth.

Egg Shell was about to wail when her brother stepped on her tail, but before she was able to he placed his tail over her mouth to stay quiet. She looked at her brother when he spoke, and figured she let her brother have his fun. She yawned and stretched to her paws. "I'm coming too!" she whispered.

She wasn't going to take no for an answer. She wanted to spend some time with her brother. She let him lead the way.

Paper Plate removed his tail when he was sure Egg Shell wouldn't say anything and began to creep once more toward the edge of the dumpster they called home. When he heard Egg Shell say she was coming to a prickle of excitement ran down his spine knowing he wouldn't be alone. "Ok but I'm the leader ok," he whispered then leaped down and off the dumpster and onto the hard cold ground below.

"Hurrybeforesomeoneelsewakesupandwegetcaughtbeforeweevengettofindanypeanutbutter." She hissed so quickly his words mashed together. Without waiting to see if his sister would follow him after all he gave the air a sniff than turned right and ran down the alley they lived in. He could swear he smelled peanut butter coming from this direction somewhere.

Egg Shell got down herself and looked around once she was down off the dumpster. It was so large out here! It seemed to go on forever to her from where she stood.

Her brother's words got her out of her distraction and got to her paws and followed him, and she scented peanut butter and titled her head. It smelled good but maybe not as good to her as it did for her brother. "Is that Peanut butter!?" she asked as she came beside her brother.

Paper Plate took off running wanting to get as far from their home as possible and to find out where the scent of that peanut butter was coming from. When he heard his sister Egg Shell ask if that was peanut butter he smiled. "I don't know what you're smelling but yes I can definitely smell peanut butter. It's got a sweet... um, nutty kind of scent..." Paper Plate had no idea how to describe the scent but he did his best.

It wasn't long before they left their home behind and it was no longer in sight. Paper Plate turned down right and paused taking a deep breath. The smell was getting stronger which must mean they were getting closer. He licked his lips and wriggled his but in excitement. "We're getting closer can you tell?"

Egg Shell took a sniff again and tilted her head to the side. Just as her brother tried to describe the smell of peanut butter, it was what she was smelling and it smelled nice. "Yeah, that's what I smell." she meowed.

She gave a squeak when she scented it as it got stronger the closer to it they got. "Yes!" she purred. Once she was sure she could see it, she ran right for it without much thought for if there was any safety for them to get to it.

Paper Plate could tell the smell was growing stronger. When his sister said she could smell it he nodded. As he turned a corner there it was an open container of sorts that looked almost half full. "THERE IT IS COME ON EGG SHELL!" Licking his lips he darted to the container and stuck his head completely inside the container licking at the yummy, creamy, oh so delicious peanut butter. When he surfaced to give his sister a chance to taste it his whole entire head was covered in it coating his fur and nose. "Your turn," he mewed as he tried to lick all the peanut butter from his face.
