Requirements
 

+ You must be active

+ You must not have broken any rules in the past three months

+ You must be willing to be leader should your current leader die

+ You must understand that if you ever become inactive, you will be removed from the role. Before this happens, you will be contacted at least once to prompt you to become active again

+ Your character must have trained an apprentice

All members may apply as long as they meet the requirements. This includes brand new members. As long as you meet the requirements and are seen posting active IC content, you have a chance at gaining the role.

You may apply with more than one warrior. Please use separate forms for each character.

Strengths: 

-- Good humor - Dustytuft, while hardly the practical joker of her youth, see's the world with an optimism that should be seen more in Ivyclan. She is open to new experiences, and pretty easy-going as cats go. This doesn't mean she isn't afraid to speak her mind, but it also means that she tempers her words with a sort of cotton-edged blow. She may say something that others disagree with, but she's also known to talk in a way that blunts her words/

-- Tenacity - Being as small as she is, Dustytuft has had to work twice as hard to survive in the wild - and survive she has. She uses a bit of diplomacy and her good humor to get by, but truth be told she has continued to use the small-battle tactics to her own advantaged and survived life with a few scars but little more. She clings to life with all four paws and has a blast doing so. And this stick-tuitiveness she would bring and keep in check when helping to make decisions to lead the clan.

-- Motherly - Motherhood would likely be a death sentence to Dustytuft - seeing as it also killed her mother. Therefore she has developed a habit of treating everything and everyone in her clan as family. She sees no boundaries between her and other cats - lending a listening ear, a guiding paw, and a meddling nature whether it is wanted or not. While strength of body and battle-hardness is looked for in a clan leader or deputy, so too should a connectedness to their clanmates and a willingness to listen to their problems and concerns, taking them into effect and trying to dissuade fears. A deputy and a leader should take care of their clan and their cats first and foremost, and as Dustytuft has always seeing Ivyclan as a big, extended family she cannot have, this is certainly her case.

Weaknesses: 

-- Smallness - Dustytuft is not the biggest of cats; she is small, and rounded, and rather kitty-pet- ish in her apparent appearance. She isn't the big strong warrior type; she is a roly-poly cuddler. While she has had the strength for several moons to survive, meaning that she does have some tenacity and a desire to prove oneself, she isn't the typical imposing figure that one would see as a leader of many. 

-- Overly-Optimistic - Her good humor can be a gift and a curse - the curse being that she rarely accepts the direness of some situations, favoring to think that there is good in everything. She's not exactly pragmatic about this. She is more common to think that there is good in everyone, and to give people second chances even when they really, really really don't deserve it. In the current climate, she would also be more willing to let in half-clan, or other clan cats - disobeying the desires of even Rookstar who wants to keep their clan's interactions to just Ivyclan.

-- Pig-Headedness - Dustytuft has a lot of ideas; and she is prone to thrust them on everyone, be they willing or unwilling to listen. If she has a problem with a rule, or a law, even passed down by a leader - she is going to say so, and not mince words about it. Rookstar would likely find Dustytuft - the happy-go-lucky charming she-cat, openly trying to argue with him - everything from appointments of rules, or on matters of states with other clans. Despite being his second in command she is not opposed to openly criticizing things that she doesn't believe in - which may add a bit to the headaches that's he's already experiencing.

Why?: Dustytuft has been a member of the clan for ages now, and has actually trained one apprentice - Cowlily - to their full potential on-site. She might be on the small side, but she has enough opinions for everyone. I think she'd be a good foil for the hard-hearted Rookstar and his current ban on not letting outsiders in - tempering his harshness with a bit more understanding and diplomacy.

Character Name: Heronflight

Strengths: (Three minimum)

Loyal
Heronflight has always wanted to be a good member of her clan. No matter what other roles she takes on in life: mate, warrior, or most recently, mother, she is first and foremost a warrior of IvyClan. Even though she fell in love with a warrior of MistClan, she never allowed that to get in the way of her duties as a mentor. 

Experienced mentor
Heronflight has mentored multiple apprentices in her time. She does her best to bring out the best in each and every one, whether she got to mentor them from kit hood, or she only took over for their final moons of aprrenticehood. Through these different encounters, she learned to treat them not as lowly apprentices, but instead as friends who just happened to be learning from her. She honestly believes that she has probably learned just as much from them as they learned from her. 

Appreciation of idividuals/Works will with a variety of people 
Another trait that came from her experiences in mentorship, Heronflight has learned to see the value in different personalities. With Bloomfrost, she learned to understand the value of a more disciplined and structured outlook, even if she did not see things the same way. Deerleap showed her that she could never judge a cat simply by what they looked like, and that it was possible that she could find shared traits that she had overlooked before. Finally, her time with Martenpaw has shown her just how much grief can affect someone, and that nobody can replace what is lost. 

Adventerous
For a long time, Heronflight's only desire was to discover what lied beyond the horizon. She is constantly trying to explore new places, and find new and exciting things within her own territory. She believes that any paw step could be the first in a new journey, and is eager to embark on each and every one.  From the time she was a young kitten, Heronflight's family and friends would remark that she would sprout wings and fly away if only she could. 

Neutral (have positive and negative angles)

New mother

On the first of April, Heronflight delivered a litter of three kits. This is her very first litter, so she is not exactly sure if she is doing everything right. Still, with the arrival of her kits came a newfound protectiveness, which would extend to all members of her clan, especially the weak or vulnerable. Of course, this will mean that she cannot stay out of camp for too long. 

Weaknesses: (Three minimum)

Bad with words/Awkward
It is not exactly uncommon to find her stumbling over her words. She can fire off one-liners like it is nobody's business, and she can chatter for hours, but the moment she is supposed to be explaining her deep feelings, or giving some sort of speech, she falls flat. 
Ex: "What? Oh..um..i..thanks? Oh StarClan this is awkward. Not that you are awkward. I'm awkward. You're gorgeous."

Reckless
Heronflight often gets so caught up in her adventuring that she fails to look before she leaps. (literally and figuratively). She is known to run up into trees, and stray out onto unsteady branches without a second thought. It is a miracle that she has not broken her legs by now. 

Young
Heronflight is only a 32 moon old warrior. She is no longer considered a total newbie, but there are still many experiences that she is yet to face. She does not know what it feels like to lose a mate or kit, and she has only just begun to understand the love and devotion that one has to their kits. 

New mother

Why?: Heronflight is a good and loyal warrior who could bring a lot to her clan. She would see her lower-ranking clanmates as equals, and would genuinely value the importance of each and every member of her clan.

Character Name: Firechaser

Strengths:

Traditionalist:
Firechaser has been apart of Ivyclan for a long time, and as such holds with many of their old fashioned ideals. This includes the Warrior Code, which he adheres to strictly with no room for error. Doing so, he’s considered a model warrior by many of his peers, and sets a good example for apprentices. He rules his life with an iron clad law that above all, we must do what we can to preserve the code in its entirety, or the clan will fall into ruins.

Teacher:
Despite his rather grumpy attitude, he does happen to be an excellent teacher. He can be rather strict, but everything he does has made each of his apprentices into exemplary warriors. Also, while most warriors are annoyed with kits bothering them for instruction, he has a bit of a soft spot for the future fighters and hunters of Ivyclan, and takes the time to give them the correct form and structure of their moves so they’ll start off well when they eventually become apprentices.

Loyal:
First and foremost, Ivyclan is the most important. The struggles and woes of outsiders can handle themselves, they have no obligation to them. Much like when the fire drove them out of the old territory, in the moment everyone was on their own. There was no wondering of ‘oh, how is Mistclan doing?’, no, they strived to save their own clanmates, and that is all that mattered. Firechaser lives his entire life in this way, and unless commanded by his leader, he will not break that rule.

Fierce:
Another plus is that he’s a fearsome warrior. What he lacks in bulk, he makes up for in quick claws and smart moves. He can trip up a tom twice his size if it ever came to it. As such, he’s terrifying in battle, and as an apprentice many of his fellows dreaded the day they would have to spar with him. These days, he does less sparring, but it’s easy to see his furious attitude when he’s sharpening his claws on tree bark.


Weaknesses:

Aggressive:
Despite that he’ll protect his clan with all the ferocity of his claws, sometimes he does come off as too harsh with his apprentices, and rash when fighting enemy warriors. He’s certainly a cat with a vicious temper, and it wouldn’t do well in delicate situations for him to go off on someone who didn’t quite deserve it.

Cold:
Despite the fact that his heart often burns with anger, he never really shows it… Or any other emotions. His face remains impassive but for fiery yellow eyes, and you won’t see his claws coming from the way he looks. As well as this, he finds it hard to relate to other cats in the clan, and probably isn’t the best to go to for advice unless it’s about strategic battle planning or hunting skills. So good with practical things, terrible with emotional things.

Holds Grudges:
Get on his bad side, and you will likely remain there for the rest of your life or his. He’s not very accustomed to forgiveness, a trait he developed from his kithood, and thus he isn’t likely to ever offer it to others. This is very unhandy when trying to work with other warriors, and he’s also a bit likely to ignore those he’d rather not talk with. The only ones fully exempt from this rule are kits, which he believes are the only truly innocent ones of this world, and sometimes apprentices for the same reason.

Short sighted:
It’s incredibly hard to get him to change his views on things. He literally had lessons beat into him as a kit, both concerning Ivyclan purism and the Warrior Code, and as such finds it difficult to see things any other way. He’s likely to think badly of outsiders, and outsiders that have joined the clan have an infinitely hard time gaining his trust. He also immediately distrusts anyone who’s broken the Warrior Code, and they too have to prove themselves again to him.


Why?:
He’s an ideal deputy for the lowkey crisis going on in Ivyclan right now. He’s a senior warrior, he’s been here for many moons and never once has disobeyed his leader or the code. He’s an excellent teacher, and may be able to teach Rookstar a bit too about the ideal leading of Ivyclan. He also knows almost all of the clan as well, having been here a long time and seeing them grow up, so he’s very familiar with their strengths and weaknesses and will be able to plan things accordingly. He’s a clan traditionalist as well, maybe help Ivyclan get back to its roots.
