[ti]Private[/ti]Whispers of Sunset

Cougarstrike sat outside the warrior's den, a gentle breeze ruffling her soft orange tabby fur. The sun was setting, the sky a mixture of pale orange and pink, with the hints of the blue sky fading. Cougarstrike crouched down, her eyes half closed in the relaxing chill of dusk. She enjoyed newleaf. Except for the rainstorms, the weather was great. Perfect to relax outside in the sunset. The atmosphere was calm and quiet; only the occasional whispers of other cats could be heard.

[Mama]

Frozenspark didn't have a lot of companions. Between his pointless nest requirements, and the certain order he had to eat a mouse, to even his wake up routine, the white tom was certainly an odd one. 

Returning from a dusk patrol, he dropped off his catch of a few voles to the prey pile, which was bountiful and overfilled with various preys that Starclan gave them with the new seasons. It was like a reward, for surviving leafbare. Not fairly hungry, he decided to take a spot next to another warrior named Cougarstrike.

"Hey." The young pale warrior started, flopping on his side. "Anything exciting happen today?"

cougarstrike grinned. She was happy to have some company. "Well, not too much happened today. It's been kind of boring lately." She looked briefly over at Frozenspark, then flicked her gaze over to the fresh kill pile. "Have the kits, queens, and elders eaten yet? If they have we could share prey", she meowed, suddenly realizing how hungry she was.

[Mama]

Tail flicking around his slender frame, he groomed his right leg carefully while listening to her. "Well, I suppose it's a good thing to have things quiet for once. Especially... with that weird Rootclan around. Freaky looking cats. I heard they were the ones who killed Mothstar too, so that makes us natural enemies." The tom muttered, his multicolored eyes flickering over his pure white pelt before back up towards the shecat.

"They probably have eaten by now, and sure, I wouldn't mind. Honestly, I'm not that hungry, but I can do with a few bites." He said with a nod, moving to sit up. "Since you suggested it, you can go and pick something out. I'm not that picky." Frozenspark mewed, before working on grooming behind his ears with his paw.

Cougarstrike nodded quickly before dashing to the fresh kill pile. She found a decent sized rabbit and picked it up, bringing it back for the two to share. "This should be enough. It isn't too big, or too small. We could finish it up." The orange tabby she cat crouched down and tore a few pieces off the prey. "Let's eat!" , she mewed.
