Things had been….odd so to speak. The tom had been wandering for moons, from the two-leg place, to unclaimed forests, his amber eyes scanned the area ahead of him as he sat on the borders between IvyClan and MistClan. For some reason his heart had brought him here. HE had heard of his old leader, Owlstars death and felt it wasn’t in his place to return. Instead he decided it was time to return to the clans to his late mates home and regain the connection to StarClan he once had. As an apprentice had had fallen for Featherpaw at such a young age, always looking for stones for her sickly sister. It had been her idea to run away to the monstrosity of the rogues so they could be together…not in secret and to him that sounded like bliss.

As time went on things just got worse, she had gone missing, her sister Nectarpaw whom was renamed Nova died from a head injury, no matter what the healer had done nothing could stop whatever she had from progressing, he almost wondered if she went to StarClan, her heart had always been with the clans she just did whatever her sister wanted and that was admirable. With a soft sigh, his ears swiveled as a warrior caught his attention he lifted his gaze slowly looking at the cat.

”Hello, Excuse me could you take me to Bearstar please. I believe 15 or 20 moons ago, two cats went missing from MistClan, Featherpaw and Nectarpaw….there is some information that I need to give her.” Would this warrior even know who they were? He sat still, a humbled expression on his features hoping that would be enough to get him to MistClan’s leader where he could present his case.

Orchidfeather prowled through the forest, following an odd trail that had crossed into the border headed inward. It wasn't someone she recognized, but they didn't smell of any of the clans either. Her claws itched in anticipation of roughing up some rogue or lost kittypet, but she stopped short as she was confronted by a cat that preferred to speak instead of fight or cower. Her bored expression soured into a scowl as he explained why he was here, her tail lashing, "Featherpaw and Nectarpaw? What, afraid to show their faces to the clan they abandoned?" Still, it was unusual for a cat- especially one she couldn't place in any clan- not only knew about the clans but knew who their leader was. "Fine. Follow me." She lead him back to MistClan's camp with her tufted tail held high and her nose upturned in disdain, ducking into the leader's den as she brushed straight past Sabletail to inform her about the odd stranger. 

Bearstar emerged from the den, her expression mellow and her eyes clouded over. Angling her ears, she murmured something to Sabletail, continuing to move her ears around every so slightly as he spoke back softly, before padding over to Tiger. "Welcome to MistClan's home, outsider. I was told you asked for me by name- are you a former clan cat?" her voice carried the power of authority but was calm and careful, choosing to wait until he explained himself before asking anymore. Though she could not see, her sightless eyes directed distantly at something over his head, her attention was focused keenly on the younger rogue.

Tiger didn’t show any threat to Orchidfeather as the she-cat guided her to MistClan’s home. As soon as he heard the crashing of the waterfall he felt awestruck, so this was how Featherpaw lived why run away from such a place? Soon he heard another she-cats voice and he turned his attention to her dipping his head ever so slightly. She appeared to be staring past him had she….lost her eye sight? He didn’t say anything out loud but instead let a simple mew out in greeting. ”Yes I am…originally from IvyClan.” He mewed. He flicked an ear before settling down wrapping his tail around his paws. ”After many moons of wandering on my own, It was time to come back…is Cherryheart here?” He mewed in a questioning tone. As if it were planned out the flame colored she-cat appeared with narrowed eyes questioning why her name was called.

”I have news about Nectarpaw and Featherpaw I believe they were apprentices here.” He heard Cherryheart gasp before wincing slightly. Perhaps this would put the she-cat at ease. He looked around and could feel the eyes burning through his fur. ” I will try not to take up too much of your time….” He mewed. He knew that leaders were very busy and he didn’t want to overstay his welcome. ”Many moons ago I met Featherpaw at the IvyClan and MistClan border. She was looking for something special for her sickly sister, Nectarpaw. Every day I would help her find something special until I felt that SHE was special. She snuck Nectarpaw out of the medicine cats den to meet me, she was so special to her that I just had to meet her. You raised such good children Cherryheart.” He would have to ask her for forgiveness later. If he would even be allowed to.

”Featherpaw didn’t feel like she belonged to a clan she was a free spirit who wanted to run free, but not without her sister, and I knew Nectarpaw would do everything she could to make her sister happy, thus she came along as well.” He paused trying to get a feel to how Bearstar would react same with the other warriors. He took a deep breath before continuing his story. ”We jumped from group to group but she and I both knew Nectarpaw and even myself were unhappy. Featherpaw felt we could not be together even if she had invited me here which…I would have gladly come and proven my loyalty time and time again.” He paused starting to get a bit nervous but the secrets of the past had to come out.

”Featherpaw…was such a free spirit she became unhappy wanting to travel all over but with her sick sister she couldn’t do that. She loved and I’m sure she still does love Nectarpaw every much. But she took off one night and I haven’t seen or scented her since then unfortunately she abandoned StarClan so even if….something did become of her we would never know.” He looked at his paws clearly hurt that his mate vanished in the middle of the night without a word. Leaving him to care for Nectarpaw. ”By then we had wandered rather far and it was quite a journey home. I stopped everywhere I could trying to find treatment for Nectarpaw…but nothing helped finally just last night we made it back to clan territory…I have her laying just outside the border in an old fox set….She’s not doing so well but she wants to go to StarClan she’s scared she will not go there and Bearstar, Cherryheart, she wants both of your blessings so she can go….” Tiger looked at his paws before making direct eye contact with the she-cat. ”Please help her go to StarClan”

He sat silent for just a few moments before looking at the flame colored queen soft eyes, she still seemed in shock about what he just been said. His ears flattened against his head not sure what she would say. However after a few moments of soft silence he could see her gaze change. ”Please take me to Nectarpaw….” His ears pointed up again before looking at Bearstar, in order for Nectarpaw to go
