She is a black and brown she-cat with light brown spotting covering her back and cheeks. She has a brown belly, brown spot on chest, right green eye and blue left eye. Left eye is blind. There are three small light brown spots on her forehead which form a triangle. Both ears are torn. She has multiple scars, given to her by fights with other cats.
Depending on which side you see her from, she can look very different. The white spotting varies greatly.
On her left side, she has a white muzzle, chest, tail tip, hind leg, and sock on her front paw. There is a small spot of black fur on the upper portion of her hind leg, and her eye is blue and cloudy, with two long scars going across her face. There is also a scar in the middle of her back, and a scar on her front leg.
On her right side, the entire side of her face is white, as is her neck. Her hind leg is also white, as well as her tail tip. Her eye is green. There is a scar in the middle of her back, like with her other side. There is also a much larger scar on her hind leg, and one traveling vertically down her neck.

Personality:
Positive Traits:
- Honest: Lying is not her forte. She'd rather say the truth even if it's harsh than -tell a lie.
- Good Instincts: She knows when to talk, and when to be quiet. She also knows when it's time to hightail it out of a situation.
- Likes Kits: Despite her fiery and prickly exterior, she has a soft spot for kits.
Neutral Traits:
- Fierce: She is not afraid to get her paws dirty, which can be a good or bad thing depending on the situation.
- Blunt: If she thinks you're a stick in the mud, she'll be the one to tell it to your face.
- Jittery: Having to avoid cats killing her for all of her life until just recently has left her with a great deal of suspicion and nerves. This can come off as her being snappy and quick to anger.
Negative Traits:
- Hot-headed: She has a temper which can flare easily. Especially when one talks about the scar on her face.
- Prickly: She doesn't open up to others very easily. She is close-mouthed about her past, unless she's telling someone she trusts.
- Slow to Trust: She doesn't trust strangers. And she trusts her family even less.
Likes:
- Eating birds
- Sunrises
- Seeing the sky
- Warm weather (mainly Greenleaf)
Dislikes:
- Eating rats (it was basically all she ate in the city, as they were in abundance)
- Not being able to see the sky
- Cold (and Leafbare)
Fears:
- Her father and/or sister finding her.
- Being dragged back to the rogue group she grew up in.
- Small enclosed spaces.
- Water (she can't swim).
History:
Please see the Spoiler to view the history.
Magpie was born to Coal and Ivy of the rogue group the Black Fang, the largest group in a twoleg city far from the territories whose air was so full of smog it was permanently brown. She has a younger sister named Hawk, who was born a few moons after she. And an elderly tom named Oreo, who took on the role as caretaker.
There were other groups of rogues besides her own. As such, the city was a constant battleground as they fought and killed for what they claimed as theirs. By the time Magpie was 3 moons old, she knew what death was. She knew that if you were weak, you either died or were stepped on. There were no second chances in life.
Despite Magpie being older, it was clear that her younger sister was a natural for fighting and hunting when they began training at 4 moons. She, on the other hand, lagged behind. She was smaller than her sister, and struggled in fighting and hunting, even though she practiced for days after her sister had already mastered the moves. Her parents were frequently disappointed in her; nothing was ever good enough for them.
Because Magpie was born first, she was destined to take over as leader when their father died, not Hawk. This enraged Hawk; she wanted to rule. Badly. She saw it as a waste that her pathetic older sister would become leader instead of her. So, she saw to take the position for herself. The many "accidents" that happened over the moons, which almost killed Magpie, were concocted by her sister. Hawk was also a talented liar; everything she said had grains of truth in them. In addition to the "accidents", she also liked convincing others to do her bidding. A little bribery could go a long way to ensure herself as the only heir left alive. As such, Magpie never trusted Hawk, and grew to suspect everyone as an assassin out to kill her (because cats from her own group had actually tried to kill her).
Her parents did nothing to stop the attacks. Either Hawk would kill her sister, or Magpie would learn to outsmart Hawk and return the favor. No matter who survived they would still have a successor to take their place when they died.
The only cat who cared for her was Oreo. He didn't care if she was perfect or not; he loved her all the same. And it was only him who stopped her from going off the deep end.
When the two grew to be 12 moons old, their father put them through the Test; something all new initiates must pass. They were to be put against fully trained fighters, and were to fight to the death. If they survived, they would become fully fledged members of the group.
Hawk passed easily, slaying the warrior that fought her and gloating over it after the ordeal was over. For Magpie, instead of fighting some warrior, she was to face her father. Coal demanded she fight him, to prove that she was indeed the rightful heir, instead of the disgrace it was so clear in his mind that she was. But she refused. She would not lay a claw on her father. In retaliation, Coal viciously attacked her, pinning her down and brutally raked his claws across her face, blinding her left eye. But he didn't kill her. He left her alive to spite her, stating that she was a coward; and he had no use for cowards in his bloodline. Thus, she was no longer a member of the family. And he was no longer her father.
After this, Magpie desperately sought to regain his approval. The she-cat fought in fight after fight, killing those her father deemed as his enemies. Over time the sight of blood no longer phased her, nor did the sight of dead bodies on the ground. She wanted to prove that she was just as worthy of being Coal's daughter as Hawk, to be considered as part of the family once again; the only family she's ever known.
By the time she was 21 moons, she had gained many more scars, and seen much death. Hawk still continued to attempt murdering her; the she-cat had grown obsessed with seeing her dead even though she was no longer a threat to her succession, and it was clear that her younger sister had become completely insane, as many cats in the group did. Hawk was mentally unstable, and would kill any that stood in her way.
Oreo then approached her, and tried to persuade her to leave. But Magpie was not to be swayed; she still blindly believed that her father loved her. That he would welcome her back into the family one day. And so, the elderly tom stayed to watch over her.
It wasn't until Hawk killed Oreo in one of her blood-lust rages a few weeks later that Magpie finally flew off the edge. Roaring in rage, she attacked Hawk, tearing a large chunk out of the others' ear and nearly tearing her throat out. Before she could do so, however, her father intervened. Enraged, he tried to kill her, but she escaped before he could, fleeing the city altogether. It was then that for the first time in her entire lifetime, being away from the constant death and decay, that she could see clear sky instead of being under a blanket of brown air. But this did little to lift her spirits.
For 2 moons she wandered. Lost, without a purpose. Alone. Afraid that her father or sister will track her down and kill her. Now she's come across the Clan territories.
She's heard stories of these so-called Clans, but doesn't know what to think of them.
She only hopes they aren't the same as the vicious group of rogues she left behind.
