Newleaf was a beautiful time of year. With the new flowers blossoming, new kits being born, the forest teeming with life to sustain the growing clan, and, just maybe, new romances blooming withing the clan. Beeflower, a pale cream she-cat, always had loved Newleaf. Everything about it made it her favorite time of the year. And watching the young warriors slowly settle in together was one of her favorite for certain.
Goldeneyes and Maplespring's kits were just getting old enough to explore and, as kits tend to do, were causing havoc in camp. Beeflower had just finished playing with some of the kits, sending them back to the nursery tired and hopefully ready to settle in for their parents. The sun was just starting to dip it's way lower into the sky, slowing the clan as many cats settled in to share tongues and meals. The cream warrior had had a full day, joining the dawn patrol, a hunting partol, training with her apprentice, and now keeping the kits entertained to give the queens a break. While she loved the camp at this time of day, her paws were itching to move.
She scanned the camp, trying to pick out someone that might be willing to go out with her for perhaps a quick hunt, but at the very least a bit of a stroll out of the camp. Most cats were settling down, obviously ready to relax after a long day of caring for the clan, but eventually her eyes spotted a light grey coat among the cats. Sparrowcry. Beeflower hadn't spent much time with the tabby tom, but she knew he was usually willing to do things to help the clan and shared many of her thoughts on most things.
With a yawn and stretch, Beeflower stood from her vantage point and wandered over to where the silver-y tom was. "Sparrowcry!" She purred a greeting to him as she approached. "I'm thinking about heading out and seeing if I could find any prey still out and about so the dawn patrol has something a bit fresher than today's catch to eat in the morning. Care to join?" She inquired, glancing at the fresh-kill pile. It was plenty full to last the clan the night, but she knew how nice a bit fresher prey was before a dawn patrol and figured it was a decent enough reason to wish to go out this late in the day.
