The conversion of both tribe and clan ideals didn't sit well with Rainfall, better known as Rain That Never Falls. Once the tribe had become part of the clans, it felt as if everything was lost to Rain.
Their tribal ancestors lost in this new type of pelt, a hunting ground called by the other Clans; Starclan.
She hated it. She hated the fact everything had changed before her eyes, tribe members slowly adapting to the new of way of living. It made her stomach queazy, it made her feel like she was being drowned in something so entirely different, being buried alive like the old ways of the tribe.
All because of that damned Paw of Pink Petals. Or Petalpaw or whatever her name was. The sudden change of naming everyone hit Rain the hardest. She couldn't recall anyone's names anymore, she almost didn't recognize her own siblings.
"That's not my name!!!!!", She screeched at Birdsong, whom only had just greeted the young she-cat. The more naive cat stumbled back in shock, not having meant to anger Rain.
"Rain I'm so sorry--", she was quickly interrupted by Rain.
"You WILL call me Rain That Never Falls! That is the name my kit-mother gave me!! And it will be honored as such!!"
The multi-colored tabby she-cat spat at the her clanmate, her back arching up in her feverish rage.
"You will call me Rain or Rain That Never Falls, not RainFall."
Birdsong quickly sulked off, dashing away among the glowiness of the cave, clearly not used to being snapped at. Rain gave a huff, settling herself in her current spot. Why couldn't anyone call each other by the names they were given and not some foolish shortened mixture of their longer names?
A few cats had turned their heads at the commotion caused by Rain, turning tail or remaining in their spots, whispering to one another.
It was clear that Rain didn't agree with this Clan way of living.
