HISTORY:
Born to Chirping of Birds in Tree and Gleam of Coarse Sapphire when RootClan was still known as the Tribe of Ancient Roots, with a single brother, Bristle of Towering Pine. When they were only three moons old, Sapphire died when a hungry fox ambushed the prey-hunter he was watching, having thrown himself in between them to allow the smaller cat to escape home and bring more home-guards out. Unfortunately, he was badly wounded by the time they arrived, and Sapphire passed away in the Firstspeaker's den that evening. Leaving Chirp alone to raise her two children, she became an overprotecting and fretful mother, often comparing both of them to their father.
Tired of his mother's combined coddling and criticism, the instant he began his training as a to-be Fang was a bratty, moody little cat. He bounced from prey-hunter to home-guard every other moon almost, and acted out at others, especially his brother and anyone Bristle dared to try and befriend- especially since Bristle seemed so well adjusted while Fang always felt wrong, like trying to find a fish in a tree. As he got more and more frustrated, he lost the motivation to train, and began skipping sessions and hiding out across the river; he didn't have anything to do there, but he liked the idea of going somewhere "dangerous". His ceremony was delayed twice, the first time for being deemed unready, and the second time because he did not show up. Instead, he was found pacing up and down the tree bridge by the prey-hunter Shrew by Pleasant Spring.
They got into an argument when Fang refused to go home, until he suddenly slipped into the water. Luckily, he didn't hit his head, and was caught by Shrew's teeth in his scruff just a little downriver. He asked Shrew not to tell his mother, and shrugged the incident off. His ceremony took place a few weeks later, where he was recognized late as Little Fang of Bat, the home-guard.
In the tribe-clan war, he remained home and was not invited on the war party because of his past of being flaky.
When the tribe became RootClan, Fang became Littlefang. He has no strong opinion on the shift in culture, as he never strongly valued the old ways even when they were current. Embracing the feeling of change, he finally decided to acknowledge his lack of identity with his birth gender, but only privately with his family.
A few moons ago, Chirptree and Shrewspring came out as having been dating quietly for some time, and being due with kits. They had two children, Littlefang's half-siblings. Unfortunately, Chirptree passed away during the RootClan plague as one of its early victims, infected by bites she took protecting her kittens. Littlefang is pretending to be fine, but as much as they clashed, he still loved her.

Other notes; accepts he/him but prefers to be referred by name over anything else; is not very open about identity or himself in general; basically "He/Him" and "they/them"/"Ey/Em/Eir" are good, but i get that those can be awkward or weird to some.
