With the horrors that transpired in the past few moons, Honeydrop couldn't have believed the stars in all the masses that filled her eyes. Mothclan had been devastated by the fire that had arose into life.  Camp had become a bit of ruin and of course in need some fixing up here and there. Dens had been destroyed, lives lost. It brought tears to Honey still, cats she had know where lost. 
    In her efforts, she had decided to help re-build what was lost to Mothclan, the she-cat dragging herself and a large stick in preparation in her newfound project. She had already gotten a few sticks into a large pile and already started to become fatigued in her efforts. Her blue eyes caught the tan and brown pelt of Applepaw, suddenly getting an idea. She had heard rumors the younger cat had gotten held back or something due to the fire but she wasn't quite sure. But she would love a helping paw in her project!

"Hey Applepaw!! Can you lend me a paw over here? I'm trying to rebuild a den and I really would like some help, if you'd kindly assisted me on this, please!" The ginger tabby meowed out to her fellow clanmate, hoping the other she-cat could help in her tough project.

“Of course!” The dark tortoiseshell apprentice bounded over to Honeydrop, eager to help with anything. She always wanted to be of help, and now she was an apprentice she was finally allowed to.

Applepaw had been devastated after the fire, and still carried the sadness on her shoulders, though somehow she had found a way to push it out of her heart, and when she hopped over to help Honeydrop she did it with a smile on her face. Applepaw knew her clan mates were suffering whether from physical or mental scarring, which would remain for a while in the charred earth and foliage of the MothClan territory.

She beamed at the orange and white tabby she cat, “So you want me to find some more long sticks for you?” Applepaw gestured to the other sticks that the she - cat had already collected.

"Oh thank you, you're a Starclan's blessing!", mewed Honey, taking to nodding to the tortoiseshell cat.  "Yep, big long sticks like this! Then we'll have to go find some leaves and moss so we can make the den water-proof and sturdy as well. Just be careful, okay? Don't strain yourself." She beamed back at Applepaw, knowing the young cat has had it rough. The fire had done a number on everyone, even on Honey herself, even though she didn't feel like she did. "And after we gather enough sticks, I figured we could go get some fresh-kill after we're done. Does that sound fine to you?" Honey licked her chops, hopping there was a vole or a bird to snack on in the fresh-kill pile.

“That sounds good!” Applepaw mewed, turning to woody part of the MothClan territory, immediately spotting a couple of longer sticks amongst the leaf litter and shrubbery. “I can drag these over to the pile” The young apprentice nodded to the sticks she had seen, “and maybe you can stack them up?”

Hoping that the orange and white tabby she cat would agree to her plan, Applepaw padded up to the patch of trees, and dug her claws into one of the sticks, dragging it to the pile that was forming, repeating the process many times until she thought that there was enough to construct the den. She then turned to face the older she cat, and wrapped her fluffy tail around her paws, eagerly awaiting further instructions.

"Of course I can." Honeydrop answered back, slowly piling sticks up to get the den sturdy enough. With the newer sticks Apple brought over, she proceeded to add them to the mangled mess of the craftmanship Honey had already started to work on.

"Applepaw, could you check the back of the pile and see if there are any holes? If there are, find more smaller sticks to cover up any holes that show themselves.."

Applepaw hopped around the den, feeling gently with her paws into the deeper parts of th den walls. She came back to Honeydrop with her findings. “There are two larger holes and a couple of smaller ones.”

Applepaw flicked her tail happily as she delved into the undergrowth, emerging a few heartbeats later with a bundle of short twigs held between your teeth. The dark tortoiseshell apprentice began to fill the gaps in the larger sticks with some smaller ones that she had collected.

The apprentice worked quickly and the den was soon completely patched up. “I guess the only way to check if it is ok is to go inside!” The young she-cat frisked about excitedly. “Who is this den for? The apprentices? The warriors? The medicine cat? Even the leader?!”
She padded over to the elder she cat eagerly. “Do you think it will be alright? Will it hold sturdily?

Honeydrop went to the sticks she had beside her, taking them and placing them into the spots where Applepaw had pointed out her findings. She made double sure to get them to close up and be secure.

"Probably the apprentices, unless you had a better idea for whom it should be for? But yes, do go inside and see if its big enough for the warriors, apprentices or even the nursery!" Honey suggested with a light nod to Apple.

"It should handle for now but we'll see these coming moons. It might need repairs down the path we take in the future. I pray to Starclan that it holds for many, many moons!"
