In the moons past his fate, the old tribe leader, Firstspeaker of the Tribe of Ancient Roots. now known as Rootclan, lay across a patch in the sky, his tail idly flickering. What has his own become? Their ancient tribe lands cursed with rats, not to mention..to change their name, a clan cat as their leader, and now, conversing in the clan ways? Had he not warned of his tribe of this irresponsible configuration? Even in the battle of the Clans vs Tribe, the tribe cats had faltered. But this..was an all time low. Clearly his fellow cats have become blinded in the ways of the Clans.
In this night, as he watched among Clan and Tribe cats, the losses, the sabotages, they all worked together? The clan cats were strange in their ways, welcoming others so willingly for aid. It did not settle with him well. Having led his tribe for many moons, he had always sought the better ideal that one group should remain to deal with its own problems. Be it over food, illness, territory.
"Is this what it all has become? For my cats too lose their faith in I and our Ancestors? To have this strange Clan cat to lead them? To change their ways, even in the names their kit-mothers have bestowed them, the roles I once had given to them?" He was mostly thinking out loud, a paw hiding under his chin. Was this how the Clans functioned? Even among the path of The Tribe Of Endless Hunting crossed, the tom still could not get passed the idea that the Clans may indeed help his fellow cats. Even if it helped them survived future generations.
But mostly he watched, upon the stars twinkling above Rootclan.
However, his interest took to the current leader him: Screechstar. Would he fail? Would he successed? Only time would tell, would Screechstar's Ancestors show him the way?
