[ti]Open[/ti]Tell Me, Where Does Your Garden Grow?

The sun was shining overhead, it's hot rays dulled to a comfortable warmth by the cool Leaf-fall air. The pale blue sky was interrupted by patches of fluffy white clouds, casting funny shadows over the forest and perhaps foretelling a gentle drizzle in the evening. Below, the cats of IvyClan went about their late morning routines; the dawn patrol was just returning, and several apprentices were heading out with their mentors for a group training session. Kits pranced and played in the sunshine, and elders bathed in the gentle weather and cracked jokes among themselves. In spite of the recent rockslide, the cats of IvyClan were doing well and recovering from their losses quickly. It would've made most any cat feel happy and at peace- except, seemingly, for one.

On the edge of the walls around the camp, Rosefury paced around the edges of the camp, his tail lashing violently. He was still seething with anger- but it was so useless! He couldn't take on MothClan on his own, he probably couldn't even take on just Eveningstar- and he didn't even really want to. In spite of all the anger in his heart, he couldn't bring himself to want anyone's death. He'd heard a rumor from some of the regular MothClan cats- Tanglespring was an 'Elite' warrior now. Great. Good for him- good riddance, Rosefury growled, blinking back tears. "Who cares about family, huh? Why don't I just- why don't I just, I dunno, move to MistClan and act like I'm the deputy?" the young warrior snapped at the air, confident he was alone and out of hearing range.

But, it seemed he was wrong; behind him, he heard pawsteps...

Cowlily had been curious about the new cats herself. It couldn't help but make herself wonder what her two little kits may have been like. But, that was in the past. Even though the subject felt raw and tightened her heartstrings when she thought of them, she had to let go. Let go and move on.

Behind Rosefury stood a small, pretty shecat. Her fur was long, thin and whispy, curling at the tips in a wave of white and ebony locks. Her eyes were a warm, wide and concerned milk chocolate, and the feline was scented of flowers, and faintly, the sweet trace of milk.

Her movements to approach him had halted at the Tom's sudden outburst, and for a moment, she wanted to shuffle away and find her mate. No. This cat didn't mean harm... He was just scared.

"Are you alright, love?" She softly asked, voice matching her almost heavenly appearance.

Rosefury jumped, his fur standing on end for a moment at the gentle voice behind him. Clearing his throat with a look of shame and embarrassment, he grumbled an apology before smoothing out the fur that remained on half of his face- and suddenly feeling very, very conscious of how terrible he must look compared to the average cat. Trying to angle his missing eye and scarred half away from her, he took a moment to level his breathing before responding.

"Sorry, I'm... not in a great place, right now. I'm just- I'll be okay," he sighed, staring at his paws before a doubt came to mind, "Um, what are you doing up here, though? I figured everyone would be pretty busy this time of day."

She didn't mean to spook him in any way, however, her curiosity got the better of her as she tilted her head to try and get a look at his face. Why was he hiding it? Sure, it was a little scarred, but most of Ivyclan had something unique to them! But now that she had thought of it... Perhaps all three of the brothers had their father's... Quirkyness. That being, not able to feel pain.

Or, they were just good warriors and got caught in an unfortunate situation. But she didn't know him well enough to dive into that.

"Are you sure? You don't look fine." The feline took a step towards him, tilting her head with a blink. "And I've finished patrols for now, so I'm on a break." Cowlily added, glancing to the entrance and then looking back at him.

"What are you upset about? Is it the new environment?"
