General Character Creation Rules and Advice
+ One character is allowed per form.
+ You are not required to use the given form, but you must always include all the information but quote and genotype.
+ History on a character form is optional but encouraged for young cats (e.g. kits, apprentices), but compulsory for adult cats. If the character has had significant events in the past, it must be included on the form. [e.g. Death of a family member, past injury, etc]
+ You can use a photo or art as the image; it doesn't matter as long as the cat's appearance is clear.
+ Refrain from using unnatural names. A naming guide can be found here.
+ No pronounced unnatural eye/pelt colouring [e.g. neon purple eyes and a pink pelt]. Some unnatural eye colours and unusual pelt colours, such as oddly-tinted pelts or strange but mild eye colours, are allowed but discouraged.
+ Try to give your characters both strengths and weaknesses to balance them out. [e.g. Good hunter but bad fighter, stubborn but clever, etc]
+ If you intend to make a clan cat, be sure to read through the clan information first.
+ Please follow the bans/encouragements/discouragements whenever possible.
+ Outsiders joining clans must change their names to warrior names unless there is a good reason why not to do this.
+ No double names allowed for clan cats. [e.g. Clawclaw, Furfur, etc] Be aware that if a double named loner/rogue/kittypet wishes to join the clan, they must change their name.
+ There may be five cats of the same suffix in the clans, but only three within one clan. For example, IvyClan could have Brownfur, Brownears and Browngoose. At the same time, Mistclan could have Brownbark and Brownstorm. The five brown prefixes are then taken, so MothClan cannot have any. Deceased cats are not counted, thus a new Brown- could be created when one of the example cats dies.
+ There may be two -kits or -paws at one time, but they must be in a different clan to each other. There may also be a -kit and -paw of the same suffix within the same clan, but they must never be both kits or apprentices at the same time. For example, IvyClan could have a Fishkit and a Fishpaw, while MothClan has its own Fishpaw.
+ Permaqueens are allowed, but there may only be two per clan.

Encouragements
If a role is encouraged, it means that there are not many cats in this role at the time and that we would very much appreciate it if you considered putting your new character in that role!
RootClan cats of all ages
If a role is encouraged, it means that there are not many cats in this role at the time and that we would very much appreciate it if you considered putting your new character in that role!
RootClan cats of all ages
Kits in all clans
Elders in all clans
Toms in all clans but MistClan
Discouragements
If a role is discouraged, you can still make a cat in that role but please be aware that there are already a lot in the same role and therefore it may be a good idea to pick another role for your character.

Bans
If a role if banned, you cannot make a cat of that role at that time. If you wish to know why a role is banned and/or how long it will banned for, please post in the Help board.
None
Situationally, non-clan born cats may be banned from being created in a clan. This is due to leaders having a no outsiders policy of some kind. Don't worry if this happens! Staff will work with you to find a solution that fits your character!
