Rushfeather Tom 48 Moons Straight MistClan Warrior Quote/Saying Appearance Rushfeather takes after his many relatives and is a solid gray tom with a white chin and underbelly. He is a medium sized cat and takes after his father size . He is very tall and also very long and lithe. Most of his muscles are in his legs as he LOVES to run. He is very swift on his paws and enjoys challenging his clan mates to races. He has longer fur l that is a smokey gray color with a creamy white chin and underbelly. Rushfeather has a gray nose and paw pads. The toms tail is long which is good for balance and speed, he also has longer whiskers which make him a good hunter. His eyes are a golden color that are always bouncing with light. Personality Strengths: - Running - hunting - spreading laughter Weaknesses: - Fighting - his ego - stubborn Personality He didn't believe in StarClan for the longest time until the day his mate died. She had been attacked by a fox. She told him everything would be okay, that his mother was there to guide her to peace. Since then he now believes StarClan exists. Rushfeather  tends to think about others first before himself. That being said he will make sure everyone else has eaten before himself, he will make sure every cat has had herbs for sickness before he takes some. Even if they are older, or younger . This is probably due to the fact he has lost many family members, and he wants to keep everyone he cares about alive. Rushfeather feels if he had thought about his family before himself, in most cases they would still be alive. Rushfeather, is still a ladies cat, always putting them first. He believes queens deserve proper treatment even if he isn't the father. Queens are providing strong warriors for the clan and should always come first. Rushfeather is also incredibly goofy and will do anything to impress a cat even if it means embarrassing himself first. As a kit, and apprentice, he always did something to get himself into trouble. He was a big trouble maker. He had an ego the size of StarClan, now this has changed, and this all changed because he had kits. Granted he still is a thrill seeker and will still do stupid things but would never put his family into any sort of danger. Rushfeather is a brave cat, and plain old stupid sometimes. However, he has ALWAYS loved kits. Kits will forever be a soft spot. Family also comes first. He only has two kits alive today, and he wants them to outlive him. He has not contemplated taking on another mate. It broke his heart losing his love the first time...he doesn't want it to happen a second time. It would simply be to much. History Rushfeather is the offspring of Cedarclaw and Leopardnose. He had, yes had...a few siblings all of which have gone to StarClan along with his mother and father. He has lost a lot of family and most of them were tragic incidents not a single one of his family went in a peaceful way.  His siblings were Embernose, Honeyleaf, and Brookpaw. Brookpaw never made it to a warrior. In fact, Rushfeather is unaware of her whereabouts. Brookpaw was exiled out of the clan for a darker incident. Rushfeather remembers it vividly. They were all about to be made warriors, all four of them. They had worked hard for moons to prove themselves loyal to MistClan. They had just one assessment left. Rushfeather wasn't the best fighter in the world but he had passed all his other assessments so even if he messed up this one up he still had a very good chance. It was Brookpaws turn. Instead of fighting her mentor she would be fighting with Streampaw. The two she-cats seemed to get along. They didn't want to pair enemies after all. Rushfeather and Streampaw had grown close over apprenticeship. Many speculated that they would even become mates even though Rushfeather flirted with anything that moved. He watched the battle carefully. Brookpaw was always the better fighter out of the two and he needed any advice he could get. Things quickly turned bad. Brookpaw had latched on to her back firmly. He could see blood trickling from her mouth. No matter how much Streampaw asked the battle to stop Brookpaw didn't let go. Their mentors intervened quickly, but before they could yank Brookpaw off, she dug her fangs as deep as she could into Streampaws spine and pulled. There was a high pitched yelp and Streampaw stayed still. Rushfeather looked at his sister in disbelief...but in her eyes...there was pride. Almost as if she didn't care that Streampaw could be dead. "SHE'S ALIVE GET HER BACK TO CAMP NOW!" Rushfeather snapped out of his daze and husseled behind his mentor. He turned and looked over his shoulder. He saw Thrushfur standing with Brookpaw. When he got back to camp, he remembers sitting outside of the medicine cats den, he didn't eat didn't drink. Their warrior ceremonies were on hold. It had been a long time since the incident, hours...maybe days...Rushfeather didn't know. He remembered Thrushfur coming back to camp...but where was Brookpaw? "Where's...." He didn't even get to finish his sentence as Thrushfur shook his head, "We met an IvyClan patrol on our way back here....Brookpaw chased one of them down...and she didn't come back." Rushfeather narrowed his eyes hesitantly but accepted Thrushfurs answer. He had never been known to do anything bad, but what did he know. Streampaw ended up pulling through, however at a cost. The injury from Brookpaw made her walk with a severe limp. One of her hind legs was severely numb so she walked with a gait. It was one moon later, and one moon late that he, and his siblings received their warrior names. Streampaw got hers as well but he felt that it was out of pity. Streampaws future was ruined, she would never be of any importance. Not a mentor, not a deputy not a leader nothing. The warrior ceremony brought back happiness to Rushfeather. He was named Rushfeather, his sibling Embernose, Honeyleaf and Streampaw...her name was Streamheart. Rushfeather supposed the name was fitting for her kindness. In fact she had even forgiven Brookpaw, and that took a lot of heart to do. Rushfeather spent a lot of time with Streamheart. He was officially off the market for those who swooned over him. Streamheart was expecting his kits. Their first litter did not go so well, only two out of the five she was expecting made it. Their names were Birchkit and Fawnkit. Both made it to apprentices. Fawnpaw unfortunately  died during leaf-bare due to green cough. Birchpaw pulled through and became a warrior. Birchpaw was named Birchfrost for his rigid and stoic personality. It was that same night that Streamheart mentioned she was expecting once again. This litter was just a small litter of three but all three were healthy. Their names were Swankit, Elk-kit, and Silverkit. Things were going great for the family.  Swankit Elk-kit and Silverkit made it to apprenticeship. They also made it to warriorhood. They were named Swanfur, Elkfoot, and Silvertail. Moons later there was a fox attack in which his mate died. up to this point Rushfeather had no belief in StarClan. Streamheart told Rushfeather that his mother was here to bring her to the fields in the sky. It was at that point Rushfeather knew StarClan was real...his mate would be safe. Elkfoot and Silvertail also fell during this attack. Since then Rushfeather has been very careful about his two living kits. He does not want anything to happen to them. His siblings have since passed away in sickness and battle. His mate is gone, his parents gone. He only has Swanfur and Birchfrost. He does not want anything to happen to them. Thus he is very protective of them.
