Alright loves, since we've done both Ivyclan and Mothclan so far, might as well add Mistclan to the list!

Applications for the role of Mistclan medicine cat apprentice are now open. Please read all the information and reply to this post with your form if you wish to reply.

The medicine cat apprentice will be picked by Mistclan's current medicine cat, who is written by silverfang218.

Requirements
 

+ You must be active

+ You must not have broken any rules in the past three months

+ You must be willing to be medicine cat should your current medicine cat die

+ You must understand that if you ever become inactive, you will be removed from the role

+ Your cat must be over 4 moons old. If they are not yet 6 moons, they will become medicine cat apprentice when they reach that age

You may make a new character to apply for the role with, but understand that you may not get the role and you will have to write the character as a normal apprentice/warrior.

Your cat does not have to be a kit or aprentice to apply for this role. Older cats can also apply.

Please make sure you have read all the information on the Information board before applying.

All members may apply as long as they meet the requirements. This includes brand new members. As long as you meet the requirements and are seen posting active IC content, you have a chance at gaining the role.

You may apply with more than one character. Please use separate forms for each character.

Strengths:  fast learner, gentle & considerate, doesn't let emotions get in the way of his duties, has helped out with the MC before and really wants to help his clan mates as he finds he is good at so.
Weaknesses: doesn't have a lot of empathy for others, tends to try to not interact with others, and can have a short temper.
Why?: Cottonpaw was doted a warrior apprentice despite not having the knack or motivation to learn the ways of a warrior very much. Not wanting to ever fail, he tried his best but could never get the hang of things and was always behind in his training compared to his clan mates despite his effort. To calm himself, he'd visit Silverfang and chat, and often he would help her out with sorting herbs when he would tell his mentor that he felt too "sick" to train that day. He has a rare fondness for the medicine cat, feeling like only she truly understands him and he enjoys that through her he can begin to understand what it is he wants in life and begin to understand others emotions and his own.

Strengths:(Three minimum) Wit, Ambition, Confident
Weaknesses: Aloof, She can be a bit....creepy, stubborn, seems reckless
Why?: A very ambitious cat, Stoatpaw is an apt learner. She is quick on her paws, and can make spur of the moment decisions, which is often important when finding the best way to heal. She does not mind her warrior training, but she feels that she may be better suited for the life of healing. This young cat has many similarities to Silverfang, as they are both rather quiet, and keep secrets. This would undoubtably create a very compelling dynamic between the two healers.

Why?: We've all heard of warriors becoming medicine cats and how hard of an adjust that can be. Well, Cougartail would be fun to see in that sort of mini-plot, considering he sees his future as Clan leader and not herb-chewer. It's also interesting since he holds a respect for medicine cats, as they saved his life after the cougar attack took his tail long ago. While brash, I think he would be an excellent, loyal medicine cat in the long run.
Other: He's also huge, dude. That den will need to be expanded just for him tbh.

Character Name: Morningpaw

Strengths: (Three minimum)

Gentle and nurturing: She's easy to get along with and sympathizes with cats easily. She understands cats who may have been injured and lost a loved one, as she's lost one herself. If you ever need to vent, she's the cat to come to.

Thoughtful: She never thinks of only one way to do things. She knows that cats won't always be in the exact same situation every time, so she likes to be prepared, at least as best she can.

Quiet: She's not grumpy or loud, so she's great with stressed cats or young kits. Morningpaw also tolerates the rowdiness of older kits, though it's a little stressful for her.

Small: She's equipped to fit into small spaces, such as a nursery filled with kits while a queen is giving birth, or squeezing through small crevices to get the last of that cobweb.

Patient: Morningpaw knows that sometimes, you have to wait to get what you'd like. The tiny she-cat doesn't take chances and is overall on pretty good terms with elders, as she's not loud-mouthed or whiny.



Weaknesses: (Three minimum)

Insecure: She's very doubting about her abilities. She feels she's not the right cat for anything. She's never 100% sure about anything, feeling like the tables can turn at any given time.

Easily Spooked: So much as putting a long, green vegetable behind her while she's eating can run her off course for the entire day. She tends to scramble about frantically after being startled for a few minutes before finally coming to her senses.

Nervous: She's constantly overthinking things, always preparing for the worst. Anxiety takes a lot of reassuring to overcome with Morningpaw, sometimes to the extent where she needs an outside source (Such as a friend or mentor) to talk her out of it. She does not handle being yelled at well, and breaks down if she's done something that requires extensive amounts of harsh lecture as punishment.

Distracted: When she's stressed or bored, Morningpaw tends to float away and daydream or get lost in deep thought. She has to focus on the task at hand, or doing things like sorting can become to repetitive and she'll start to daydream away, which often times lead to mistakes.

Shy: She's very shy, and needs extreme circumstances to start a conversation with a new cat, unless you downright force her. She's willing to speak to someone she doesn't know only if they introduce themselves first. She can sometimes have a hard time finding her words, even with cats she's familiar with.

Morningpaw's siblings were all lost in a fire. If she had known how to heal burns, she could have saved one of her littermates. This haunts her to this day, so se seeks to be a medicine cat to help those in need, so that their littermates don't have to suffer the way she did. She's also very bad at fighting, and to scared to do it, so Morningpaw feels that this is one of the only ways she can help her clan.

Other: (Anything else relevant) She's in the process of transferring to Mistclan from Mothclan, so I'll need to RP that out before she can be appointed, if you choose her.

Character Name: Shadespirit

Strengths: 
Strong: From a weak elder to a sickly kit, Shadespirit can defend almost anyone and anything successfully. Because she was previously made a warrior this cat can take care of herself and others easily.
Open: Due to her disability, she's open to trying to help others with theirs and to show them that they can easily be overcome. 
Experienced: While she was recovering from multiple injuries, Shadespirit was able to learn and help Silverfang with her duties. Even afterwards its not uncommon to see this cat in the den sorting some healing plants.
Weaknesses: 
Disabled: Half of her face is torn apart, she has little to no balance.
Insomniac: Between nightmares of bears, getting sick again, and from the illness causing her to just not be able to get rest at all, its difficult for this cat to sleep.
Hothead: Shadespirit is a bit of a hothead, and defensive of anyone in her clan. Of course this means she has opinions on different cats for her own reasons.
Why?: First off, she always will have issues being a warrior, even in the eyes of others. Along with this, she's one of the worst in the clan skill-wise, though she does try her hardest. Second, she has experience being sick and is very determined to keep others off of that path.
