Silverfang walked slowly, her limp causing her pace to be that of a snail when compared to a healthy, uninjured cat like Morningpaw. The medicine cat hoped she wasn’t annoying her apprentice with the slowness, but there isn’t really much she can do about it; besides, Silver had warned her that she liked to leave for these gatherings early for that very reason… and Morning will be able to memorize the way a bit better if they go slowly.
“Are you nervous, Morningpaw? You know I was scared to death first time I went to the Moonpool, back in our old territories, but there’s no need to be nervous. Ah, we are here. See that cave right there? That’s it. Let’s stop and wait here for the other medicine cats and their apprentices. I’m usually the first one here, since I like to leave early.” Silverfang had tried to make small talk on the way, but she mostly ended up pointing out landmarks. Morningpaw seemed like a quick learner, so there’s no reason she shouldn’t be able to find her way back on her own. Now that they are here, though, Silver wants to do what she can to ease any nervous Morning might have.
The medicine cat sits over near the mouth of the cave, beckoning the younger she-cat to come sit next to her. Now the waiting game begins.
While Silverfang was punctual, Larkbeat likly wouldn't say the same thing about herself. The tortoiseshell left when she felt like leaving, and because of that, some days she was early and other days she was late. Larkbeat certainly was... well, something. But today it seemed that time was on her side as the only other two cats to arrive were both from Mistclan. Mothclan had yet to arrive. Wait, that meant that Silverfang had brought along somebody who was certain to be the silver feline's apprentice. It seemed that she hadn't hesitated to hop along onto the bandwagon after both her and Cedarleap arrived with Beetlefloof and Elkpathetic.
"Who's this?" Larkbeat would hum, slowly but surely making her way across the land to stand before the apprentice. She hadn't seen this cat before. Starclan, their little group had doubled in size in merely a moon. "The cavern is going to get cramped at this rate!" humpf. She had to make sure nobody found themselves taking her usual spot against the moonstone. Else somebody was going to get their pitiful tail whoop- politely asked to slide over.
She was a very, gentle and truly polite medicine car. Wheeee whoooo, wheee whoo.
Morningpaw was just as slow with getting to the Old Mine as her older mentor was, as she was so nervous about what could happen, especially since she had originally been a loner, then abandoned the clan that took her in for Mistclan. She looked to Silverfang for reassurance, who helpfully distracted her mind by pointing out the landmarks that lay on the trail to the meeting place. When Silverfang asked if she was nervous, the small she-cat simply gave a short nod, kneading her paws into the ground in anticipation for the other medicine cats. "I hope Cedarleap won't look at me funny, or her apprentice." She meowed quietly, unwilling to break the silence of the night.
Of course, it was past moon-rise and they were just leaving. Beetlepaw made sure to watch her paw-steps carefully this time around to avoid those pesky burrs she had encountered last moon.
Upon arrival, the ebony she-cat noticed a new face beside Silverfang. "A new apprentice," She hummed to Larkbeat as they walked along. How exciting! "Who's this? The cavern is going to get cramped at this rate!" Her mentor cried, and she let out a small giggle. "H-hello, my name is Beetlepaw," she murmured quietly to the other apprentice. "Are you excited for your ceremony?" Her voice was as quiet as a mouse. It was highly possible that the Mistclan apprentice might not have heard her and she'd have to repeat herself.
Morningpaw's eyes flitted to the strange new cat, that smelled of Ivyclan. She identified the cat as Beetlepaw, due to the cat's quiet introduction. The she-cat asked if she was excited for her ceremony. Morningpaw hadn't really thought too much about it. "Well... Of course I am. Though, I'm a little nervous about it, too." Morningpaw replied. "Who wouldn't be?"
Carried Home is a Warriors roleplay forum. We feature four clans - all four of which have futures that heavily depend on what your characters do - as well as a 50 word count minimum on RP posts, and a functioning currency and shop.
While most of the action does center around our four clans, members are also permitted to make loners, rogues, and kittypets. You can also make both StarClan and Dark Forest characters.
