Rushing from his den, towards the Ancient Cat, his tail held high. His body stopped at the Golden feline, yowling for his tribe together around. "Cats of all ages and ranks, your attention is needed! For I have news that may change our ways, it will surprise you all.." He shifted to stand in a stern way. "Doe that Lives in Forest..Has visited me in the night..She had walked among us..She told me of more tribes, tribes from a different land..Across the raging river. Talon of Diving Eagle, but I am sorry to tell you this, for Doe has joined the Tribe of Endless Hunting. She says to tell you to stay out of trouble and if you must, move on." He looked to Talon, lowering his head in respect. It was not fun to lose another. "But she has told me, that we must watch for this Mist shrouds over Ivy that hides the Moth. We must be on the alert for this tribe..So please keep your eyes peeled and noses open for any signs of strange tribe cats. It is time we increase our prey-hunters and home-guard group patrols to maximum statuses..Report all found activities to me. Any reports or findings left to one's self will surely feel the consequences over hiding any of these tribe's presences. If any of these cats are found, chase them away. We do not need our home invaded by them.."

The tom was very serious, clearly not too impressed on hearing about these new tribe cats and he surely did not want their home found. They have lived in secret for many moons and they were perfectly fine on their own. Not to mention it was for the safety of their traditions and ways of life.

"This has been our Telling and announcements for this moon, may you all walk the ways of our ancestors proudly, for they are shining their light upon us. We must uphold our ancestors ways, protect them and hold them dear like the loved ones we have lost. " He turned to leave but stopped himself, turning back to the crowd that had gathered. "But one last thing! For I have seemed forgotten on my decision. My to-be and our future leader ,Stream of Silver Stars, will be starting her training one moon earlier than our tradition says. I believe she is ready to begin the rigorous training for what she is destined to become,for I have my faith in her, as I have faith in my tribe and our ancestors."

Talon's eyes were narrowed into tiny slits, his face expressionless as First Speaker announced that Doe had died. Talon had a very difficult time expressing his thoughts and feelings but when Doe mysteriously vanishd he felt...alone...he had this feeling in the past but Doe filled something in him and now that was gone. The way First Speaker bluntly told him to move on made his lip curl in irritation. The tip of his tail twitching clearly with annoyance. at least the extra patrols will keep me busy...." He thought to himself. As the announcements continued he couldn't help but let his ears perk up with curiosity. First Doe, now there was another tribe? Now they were breaking tradition? He huffed slightly wondering what the tribe of endless hunting thought about all this...clearly...something just wasn't right.

The Tellings were something that she was beginning to dread as of late, the passed two tellings the Firstspeaker had spoke of ominous omens and hawks that will bring bad luck, but it seemed they were nothing compared to the this telling. Dusk felt naïve for initially believing that the tribe couldn't have bad luck three times in a row, surely.

The short-furred feline had not really interacted with Doe all that much, considering that she was both a prey-hunter and a to-be, but she did remember the optimistic attitude that seemed to radiate from the younger she-cat. It had been a big thing when she did not return from a hunting patrol, as it was always when a tribe cat did not return, so to hear that Doe had died would be a kick to everyone's stomach. Dusk couldn't imagine how it would feel to Talon.

The flecked tabby healer moved on swiftly, their leader did not dwell on sensitive subjects, recounting another omen? Only a few moons ago, everything was simple, now it looked like danger loomed on all sides. More tribes meant more danger, more competition. The fur along her spine began to rise slightly, before she chastised herself for allowing such strong emotions to sweep her away at such a sacred ceremony.

The last item on the agenda related to Stream, who would begin her training early, she wondered how her siblings would feel about that. However, with such uncertain times ahead, it made sense for Firstspeaker to want to have a second cat available to lead and heal the clan should he need the extra help. A sigh escaped her, knowing that whatever did come, whether it be hawk, eagle or moth, the tribe would not be the same ever again.

Fish watched with half-lidded eyes. Mist that whats the ivy that yadda yadda something about moths? Eh. He did admit that losing one of their own was jarring, and he wasn't entirely processing it. It was relatively rare to lose a fellow tribe cat unexpectedly like that, but accidents happened he supposed. He cast a glance at Talon, a fine looking young cat. Surely he'd find love again, if his heart learned to handle it. Best of luck to ya, he sent a little prayer to him silently.

Frost huddled her children by her side; though they were still small and a little slow(some still dopey and droopy eyed with bellies full of milk), she felt it important to let them learn about the Tribe's ways as early as they could, and the Tellings were an integral part of their lifestyle. She dipped her head in mourning for Doe, who had only just completed her training and joined her with the other Prey-hunters. And Talon, the unfortunate tom. "Children," she murmured, "if you lose anyone, and your heart aches with sadness for them, just look to the stars. They all watch over us from there. Tonight, Doe will watch over us all."

Her ears pricked as Firstspeaker revealed a message from the recently deceased prey-hunter. How extraordinary. She'd have to keep her paws light and her senses sharp the next few moons, and she instinctively drew some of her kittens closer with a paw protectively. What could the ancestors mean by this? Moths and ivy and mist- none of these were frightening, were they?

She offered a purr of congratulations at Stream's announced training though- though it was rare to train a cat before their time, she trusted Firstspeaker knew what he was doing if he determined her time was earlier than the traditional one. "One day, she will lead us, and the Firstspeaker you know will send his blessings from the Tribe of Endless Hunting."

Fish settles next to his mentor Thunder and Thunder’s younger sister, Tree that Bends. Tellings always have an air of mystery for the young to-be, a feeling likely shared with at least a few of his tribemates. Fish never makes assumptions based on things said at Tellings; these eagles and hawks fighting, the moth, the ivy, and the mist, all these things seem above Fish’s ability to understand. He’ll worry about the omens when they come to pass and not before.

The young tom’s ears lower as Doe is mentioned; even though he hadn’t really spoken to the she-cat, he mourns for Talon. No cat deserves to have a loved one ripped away from them, and it hurts that much more that his dearest friend, the swiftly flowing river, was the one to carry away his tribemate.

Tree that Bends sits next to her older brother Thunder and his to-be. Her paws kneed at the ground in frustration; if their ancestors were going to give them omens, then the starry foxhearts should at least give them a little clarity. These vague hints are worthless. How can the Tribe prepare for this ‘Mist shrouds over Ivy that hides Moth when the Tribe of Endless Hunting can not bother themselves to explain? With no when or where or weaknesses to exploit… what good is there in these tiny bits of information? It was infuriating to have to listen to this every moon. She glances at Talon, though; she feels for the tom, but he’s strong. He’ll be able to get past this, Tree’s sure. Stream is another strong young cat, in Tree’s mind. From what little she’s seen of the kit, Stream has a blunt, logical mind; she’ll do well as Firstspeaker’s to-be.

Moss sits under the paws of her father; she watches passively. She is much of the same mind as Tree; this information is useless without clarification. She does not glance in Talon’s direction. Cats die or otherwise pass out of their lives on occasion. No need to get more than mildly upset over it when a cat you like leaves or dies. She stays equally neutral at the announcement of her sister’s training coming early; she couldn’t care less about what her siblings were up to, or whether they were already training or not.

Shark Hidden from Sight

    The fawn molly settled down near Firstspeaker to hear the news he had to say. The Telling was an important ceremony where crucial information was shared. She had to listen carefully for this one, especially considering the look on Firstspeaker's face. The tom clearly had something to say, perhaps something concerning the future of the Tribe. She perked her large ears, fully focused on his words.

    Poor Doe... She didn't deserve that fate. It was sad to see one of her Tribemates die, but the only thing left to do was to move on. Hopefully even Talon understood that. That didn't mean that she would be forgotten, but nothing could get in the way of the survival of the Tribe.
    
    The next news shocked her. A different Tribe? Does that mean we're not alone? It was a somewhat terrifying prospect. Battles and wars would surely follow if this new Tribe found them. Shark made sure to remember this for the next few moons. She would have to be alert and ready for conflict at all times. Perhaps a sparring session with a fellow cave-guard would be nice.

Deer turned her attention towards Firstspeaker, eyes flashing in shock at the words of Doe's demise. Was safe to say that the Kit-Mother had barely known the Prey-Hunter, but she could feel in her heart the grief of any loss. Especially one so young with a life of such potential laid out ahead of her. The mother could hardly begin to imagine the amount of pain that would befall her heart should she ever loose one of her own kits or loved ones.. Watching them grow up by her side and learn to fend for the clan as their respective duties called for them to do. And so the feline lowered her head, looking down at her paws as she continued to listen. The words spoken of a new tribe allowed her claws to itch. Her kits were young, and was her duty to make sure they remained safe. There was no way in the name of Endless Hunting that she would let any ferocious outsiders get in her way of preforming that duty. And at last, the mother pulled her head up from her paws, heart swelling up as Stream's name was called out, announcing the beginning of her training. A smile flashed on Deer's face, and she couldn't dream of holding back a ferocious purr from her throat directed towards her beautiful kit. What mother could be prouder?

Frog also drew his attention up, listening to Firstspeaker's words with the slightest hint of concern and grief. Like Deer, he hardly knew Doe, but that hadn't meant that he hadn't spotted the feline time to time during training. The deceased wasn't that much older then he himself was. But alas, he took in word of this Moth Ivy Mist tribe, and offered the newest To-Be a look of awe. Imagine what must be like training underneath Firstspeaker's guidance! He was so wise in the white tom's multicoloured eyes!

Duck, unfortunately, missed this as he was hunting with Screech siding him as Cave-Guard. When he got back, he would have to ask Tree one of his other siblings about what went down.
