Rainbow colors,
Do not hide, see the view!
Step aside, go through!

The brown-furred leader emerged from her den, feeling a little fuzzy as her sleep had been sluggish and slow to arrive that morning, leaving her groggy all day. Even so, she had to attend to her clan. Lapping at the water that pooled near the entrance, she did her best to shake and stretch out any remaining weariness. Alert as she'd ever be for this evening's announcements, she made her way to the back wall and up the almost imperceptible steps to the jutting stone she used for speeches. "May all cats old enough to cross the waterfall gather here for a clan meeting!"
It was fitting, perhaps, that the moon shown silvery-yellow through the water as the light grey warrior Meteorfall's kits were to become warriors this night, along with the shadowy-furred litter of Nightfur. "As greenleaf draws to a close, we are fortunate to witness so many young cats filling the nursery- I'm almost surprised they all fit truthfully," the leader's eyes were warm with unspoken laughter, "but even more fortunate is it that there are some apprentices who have proven ready to join their mentors as equals this moon." Best to cover one litter at a time, with as many as there are, Bearstar nodded decisively before calling up the first group, "Firepaw, Icepaw, Frostpaw, Ashpaw! Come forward to receive your new names."
She looked over the red-eyed cat carefully as she spoke, "Firepaw, you are a strong individual with a striking stare to match. Go now as Firegaze, and show others how you see things whenvever you can."
Shifting her own line of sight over just a tad to the near-twin of the first, she looked into bright blue eyes and went on, "Icepaw, you have demonstrated time and again that one does not always need social grace to be an exemplary warrior. Turn your fangs on thosewho would oppose us as Icetooth, and you will be known even in the other camps."
Next, she found her vision resting on the lone white-furred cat from her litter, standing out like a star in the night. "Silverfang tells me you have been training exceptionally well, and I find it admirable of you to take interest in her work where most would fall asleep listening. Now, as Frostfall, may you continue to provide our healers with plenty of fresh-kill."
Then, for the green-eyed cat who had been oft overlooked due to the antics of her siblings, " Ashpaw, you balance out your family well. Every family needs a source of stability and kinship, and you are well-suited to it. I hope you find the name Ashleaf fitting of yourself."
Allowing a pause for the new names to be chanted some, she raised her tail to regain control of the airspace. "Next, it's time for Silverpaw, Mosspaw, and Cloverpaw. Please come forth."
The silver tom wiggled on his haunches, tossing an excited look at first his parents, and then his mentor Goldenmane. Though the ceremony didn't exactly call for solemn behavior, he did seem to be taking it about as serious as a game of shapes-in-shadows. The leader twitched her whiskers amicably, "Silverpaw, you carry your father's jovial spirit and your mother's graceful looks. May you take pride and joy in the name Silverspot."
Next, a name for the large slate-colored tom, "You have grown into your paws well, and I imagine your parents feel as much pride as I to see you come this far. Travel on with the name Mossfoot. "
Last but not at all least was the lone sister, a gentle fawn that still managed to contrast the grey toms beside her. "I do not envy you to grow up with only rambunctious brothers, but I do commend your patience and your skill in training. Guide others as you guide your kin with the name Cloverwing."
She left a longer pause this time, more or less letting the cheers die off on their own before moving her gaze to the two eldest kits in the back of the assembly. "Acornkit and Rushkit, join these new warriors up front. It's time for you both to begin your training."
"Acornkit, you will be mentored by a tom I know to be more than capable of training excellent wariors- Archfeather, you will teach young Acornpaw for the next two seasons."
"And Rushkit, I believe you may have something unique to offer and something unique to gain from Webfrost, as Rushpaw. I trust the both of you to neither overextend yourselves of each other."
She stood, adding at last her own voice to the crowd as the clan greeted each of them one last time. "That is all for tonight. I will be available shouls anything come up," she called, concluding the ceremonies for this moon.
