Ashpaw laughed as she raced into the clearing, the brand new apprentice already up to mischief as clanmates watched her dripping wet brother storm in after her. His emotions weren't readable from his features, but the silent tom gave off a rather thick aura of annoyance as he finally stopped just before his sister, who was still stifling her giggles, to look her dead in the eye.
Really? His gaze seemed to say, and she dissolved into another fit of laughter on the ground of Mistclan's camp. It wasn't hard to guess what had occurred. The two young ones had gotten excited and went out of camp for the first time together. Whitepaw had probably been trying to fish, and, well, Ashpaw must've gotten bored with the stoic apprentice. A few warriors shook their heads, some in amusement, some in exasperation. Poor Froststar would have a pawful with that girl. Finally, Ashpaw's blue eyes, as bright and cold as the stars, met a matching pair in Whitepaw's gaze. Then, without further ado, Whitepaw violently shook off his pale pelt in an attempt to soak his sister. Alarmed, Ashpaw suddenly jolted backwards to avoid the spray, and fell right into a passing warrior. She shook her head, in a bit of a daze, but then started upright when she realized she almost knocked someone else down with her.
"O-Oh! Sorry, Stormycloud! I didn't see you there!" She exclaimed, eyes a bit nervous but her honeyed voice bright in her exclamation. Whitepaw looked rather apologetic as well, but the tom stayed quiet and merely sat down, watching his sister with his even gaze. His fur stuck up in all sorts of places, but he didn't seem to mind. A cool breeze ruffled Ashpaw's fur, giving her a sweet breath of that fresh mountain top air. She smiled sheepishly at the warrior, her tail flicking back and forth as she sat down a little bit aways from her brother. "Anything I can do to make it up to ya?"
