This had become a regular spot for Talon. The brown tom had a grim expression on his face. Guiding the tribe, while being puppeted by a tom who just wanted power. He blinked slowly flicking his tail as he sat below the ancient ancestors. Time seemed to be slipping by them, first their to-be, then their leader, and now of course those weird things the home guards had reported in the old ruins not to far away. He let out a loud sigh before letting out a cry. ”Come forth! Under the full moon it is time for our tribe telling!” He mewed loudly for all to hear. His tail lashed back and forth as one by one all the cats gathered, even the kits whom would be made To-Be’s in the coming moons watched from afar hiding under their mother as they peered with curiosity.
Despite all that happened, Tribe life would have to go on. Shortly after First Speakers death, they did their best to care for him, the oldest members of the tribe along with his family escorted him on one last patrol before burying him under a large tree, the ceremony was quite nice as they laid him to rest. He looked to the sky wondering if their ancestors truly had gone dark. As the cats gathered he gave each one a curt nod, not treating them any differently. However, in the back once more Fang sat watching with needle like eyes it seemed his plan falling into place.
” This moon has brought heart ache to us…. abandonment….loss…but tribe life must continue moving forward.” He began softly. He looked at Firstspeakers kits as he spoke and couldn’t imagine what they were going through. However, the rough waves continued and it seemed like there was no end in sight. ” We must be weary of things to come…. home guards have reported very odd-looking creatures in our ruins. They look like bears with no fur.” He mewed. He had seen them for himself. Hideous looking creatures they were. ” Each day they move closer and closer to our home. The loud rumblings we hear at night is them riding their big creatures! They are tearing and digging the forbidden ruins apart.” He mewed firmly.
He recalled the time when Sun and Snow had taken an adventure through the deep forest to get there. None of the tribe cats had been there, the location was passed down by tribe elders to the kits for generations. With the recent activity of the furless bears, territory that was once unreachable became visible for them all to see. Perhaps at one point in ancient times, the tribe had lived there and moved…but for what reason? He shifted nervously just thinking about all the things that could have happened.
”With the opening of places that were once unseen or unheard of, I think it is wise for to-bes, home guards and prey hunters to learn each other’s skill set. Prey hunters will learn combat and home guards learning to hunt. There has been no words from our ancestors on this matter, they have gone quiet. No signs…no dreams. I wish to hear your opinion on this. With that, Talon went silent scanning the crowd to see if there were any thoughts on his plan. To-bes would learn both sets of skills going forward…what if there were big creatures that lived in the darkness? The tribe was now accessible to many things, and that made Talon, quite nervous.
