What to do, what to do. Mottledfeather had never had an apprentice before of her own - though of course the few times she had been coerced into joining a hunting party or a patrol she had certainly worked with plenty of young cats. But it had never been set squarely on her shoulders that she was to take care of one of them. The idea that she was solely responsible for Pikepaw's training was, well...terrifying. She would never say it to Stormwatcher or Silvertongue, but both their litters had given strong warriors to the clan, who were a little...intimidating. The idea that she was supposed to train one of the youngest was personally ludicrous to her own ears.
And yet, here she was; as early morning sun was just about ready to make it's appearance above the hills, she had left a missive with Pikepaw to meet her by the Carrion Hill. Truth be told, she had gotten used to the smell over the years; but it was something cats who hadn't quite left the den before was not used to. It seemed like as good a place as any to start training. Plus, as Mottledfeather had always been an early riser, the distance between the Hill and the Mothclan camp would give time to figure out exactly what she was going to do.
Oh yes...Pikepaw could take as long as she wanted. As Mottledfeather was still firmly trying to gather her own wits.
