The black tom came into camp a mouse clamped firmly between his jaws, he dropped it down before striding to the camp center he know that there were some kits that needed to be apprentices, clan life would move forward. With a flick of his tail, he overlooked the clan and let out a loud yowl. He had plenty of things to do like visit his own mate and growing kits. ”The time has come for some kits to be apprentices!” Soon cats began to gather, and Eveningblaze looked at all of them as they began their journey as independents, they would no longer be under the watchful eye of their mother instead being firmly trained by their mentors.
The black tom cleared his throat as they gathered below, eager to find out who their mentor would be. Despite all the excitement the dark colored tom held his stern demeanor. His eyes fell on Honeykit, such an odd thing, couldn’t talk hardly and communication was key in a fight, it could be a life or death situation, granted it really was no reason to retire the poor thing. He looked at Honeykit knowing very well his warrior ceremony would more than likely be delayed until he could at the very least figure out a way to communicate with everyone else.
”Honeykit, until you have received your warrior name you will be known as Honeypaw.” He mewed. The kit was soft…would need a good ruffling up before he became a warrior. ”Your mentor Will be Darkstorm, he has grown and has gained patience and strength, and may he pass down these skills to you.” He mewed. HE knew very well what Darkstorm was pushed through, the black warrior gave his whiskers a twitch of amusement before moving onto the next kit.
”Bloomkit until you have receive your warrior name you will be known at Bloompaw.” He mewed firmly. He had watched Bloomkit from afar, always pushing himself, he was quite the rambunctious thing who needed to be leveled. In reality he felt Bellfeather would be the perfect mentor for the tom, with a slight twitch of his tail tip he looked at Sparrowlily. ”Sparrowlily will be your mentor.” He mewed firmly.
”Softkit until you receive your warrior name you will be known as Softpaw.” He scanned the crowd looking for the perfect mentor for the chatty, bubbly personality. One could not be too kind or too soft, that perhaps could be a sign of weakness. She would need a firm mentor. ”Stormwatcher will be your mentor, she is fierce and hard working and I know she will teach you right from wrong.” He smirked slightly knowing that Softpaw would have quite a hard time with Mothstars daughter.
”Finally Rosekit you will be known as Rosepaw.” This was another tom, hot headed, but hard working. He would need someone to bring him to a level head, but worked just as hard. ”Spidergaze, I think it is time for your first apprentice. Rosepaw will be perfect for you. I’m sure you will both learn from each other as time goes on.” He mewed.
With that the black tom headed towards the nursery where he could spend time with his new kits and Bellfeather, just the place he wanted to be. Now that the nursery was more empty, there would certainly be more room for him, perhaps he would move in until a new queen came.
