Character Name: Batstrike Link to Character Profile:Bio & Tracker Strengths:
Fighting - Batstrike is a long and lean tom, he may not have a lot of bulk to him but he uses his speed and agility to give him a great advantage in his fighting skills. He has proven his abilities as a MothClan warrior many times and is very confident in this aspect. He fiercely fought the tribe in the Battle of the Blood Moon for the safety of his clan and self-selected family and while he did not defeat the dog that attacked Shadowstorm and him in the clan territory early in his warriorhood he did face it bravely.
Clever - He has a sharp mind for tactics and gathering information. Batstrike has no shame in asking for help when he doesn't know something either. He's not afraid to lean on the ones he trusts for advice when he needs it and he is willing to work with others when he see benefit in doing so.
Leadership - Batstrike is confident, charming, and clever. This has given him a great foundation to become a leader alongside his skill as a warrior for his clan. Due to the strange situation his clan fell in when Brackenstar went missing, Batstrike has already been given an opportunity to lead. Named temporary deputy during the emergency, he supported Eveningblaze while he was there and then held the clan together alone when the tom left to rescue their missing clanmates. He has experience with the duties that will be expected of him and a reputation with his clanmates already. He may not have thought very highly of Eveningblaze early on, but he had to work closely with the tom and his opinion has changed drastically. Batstrike will be able to work under the tom well knowing his intentions are only for the best of MothClan.
Open Ears - Listening is one of Batstrikes best abilities. He has open ears, not only for things happening in the background; whispers that may not be meant for his ears, but also is open to hear what his clanmates think and have to say. He will strive to be kind like his role model was and will happily listen to his clans concerns to see if they are something he can easily fix.
Compassion - His heart has slowly grown to reach farther than just his inner most circle. He has become more rooted in his clan each day, whether its by adding another to his little self-chosen family or finding a new warrior to rely on as a friend. After fighting beside them and his experience of holding them together in a time of need he cares deeply for his clanmates and the clans future.
Managing Conflict - Dealing with drama or direct conflict is not one of his strong suites. Besides some of the gossip his brother, Pinetuft, gets himself involved in Batstrike hasn't been faced with a lot of this type of adversity. Exactly how hot-headed he can get hasn't really come out to play yet, he will not stand for sly comments and degrading remarks. He trusts his claws to do the talking for him so when four too many deputies are sitting up front during the gathering he may just push his way through instead of talking things out civilly. He may need help in dealing with the other clans when they push his buttons.
Dealing with Failure - Being a perfectionist means he really strives to be his best, but coming up short can weigh heavily on him. Even still, he dwells on failures in his past like Shadowstorm entering an early elderhood due to injuries he suffered attempting to fight a dog back with Batstrike. Holding onto failures like this can tear him down when he feels he should have been able to make a difference.
Family - His blood comes from IvyClan, but it's not his loyalty to MothClan that should be questions. Batstrike picked his family all on his own and he feels that it makes his ties that much stronger, since they were made by choice. His brother means the world to him even though he can cause him quite a bit of trouble at times. The same could be said of Cherryhawk, whom he took under his wing as a mentor but still protects as his adoptive daughter. She can handle herself, but he worries deeply for her and would do anything if she was in danger. Finally, Shadowstorm was the very one that lead him to MothClan. Batstrikes leans on him for advice and comfort and he would struggle greatly in his absence or if he let the tom down. It would be a lie to say he wouldn't risk more for them than the rest of his clan.
Prefers his Me-Time - He finds himself perfectly happy spending time on his own. His three favorite things: Sun-bathing, nightly strolls, and fishing, can all be done by himself and he uses this time to clear his mind. Becoming deputy may interfere with some of these things he likes to do or at least the amount of free time he has to do them. Losing this time could remove a chance for him to cool off and clear his mind.
Youth - Immaturity has always been a major annoyance to the tom and so he often avoids the clans kits and sometimes even the apprentices and wild warriors. If chosen as deputy he would have to work more closely with them, being a role model and a figure to be respected. He may struggle to be watchful over them for their safety and in making observations of their personalities and skills to help Eveningblaze make pairings for the growing cats. His mindset here doesn't align extremely closely with Eveningblaze's, he see's the clans youth as its future, but struggles to see the warriors they'll grow into past the rambunctious kit stage. His focus is not as heavily placed here as the leaders is.
Why?: Batstrike had no intentions of leaving IvyClan when Shadowstorm, his mentor, decided it was time to move on so he hesitantly followed with his brother, Pinetuft. His journey in MothClan began with an iffy loyalty at best, simply becuase the forming clan needed every strong cat they could get to succed and he didn't see it as a place his loyalty could truely lie. He slowly became rooted here though and he has undergone major character development to be the dedicated warrior he is. He has mentored 3 apprentices (though 2 have gone inactive before being named warriors), Cherryhawk now being a strong MothClan warrior herself and also a daughter figure in his life. He has fought and lost for his clan when Shadowstorm and he attempted to fight back a stray dog in their lands with Shadowstorm ending up severly injured. He has also battled alongside the other clans in the Battle of the Blood Moon. Batstrike's relationship with Eveningblaze has built up slowly, but he trusts Eveningblaze wants the best for MothClan and therefore the best for his family. He will be able to work well under the new leader, but may have some internal struggles over Brackenfalls situation since he looked up to him so much. Other: Battie is a good boyyo

“We will win this battle because we are fighting for our lives and the lives of our Clanmates.
Carried Home is a Warriors roleplay forum. We feature four clans - all four of which have futures that heavily depend on what your characters do - as well as a 50 word count minimum on RP posts, and a functioning currency and shop.
While most of the action does center around our four clans, members are also permitted to make loners, rogues, and kittypets. You can also make both StarClan and Dark Forest characters.
