High Rank Applications--MistClan Medicine Cat Apprentice

The medicine cat apprentice will be picked by MistClan's current medicine cat, who is written by gingersnapsdacat .

Requirements
 

+ You must be active

+ You must not have broken any rules in the past three months

+ You must be willing to be medicine cat should your current medicine cat die

+ You must understand that if you ever become inactive, you will be removed from the role

+ Your cat must be over 4 moons old. If they are not yet 6 moons, they will become medicine cat apprentice when they reach that age

You may make a new character to apply for the role with, but understand that you may not get the role and you will have to write the character as a normal apprentice/warrior.

Your cat does not have to be a kit or apprentice to apply for this role. Older cats can also apply.

Please make sure you have read all the information on the Information board before applying.

All members may apply as long as they meet the requirements. This includes brand new members. As long as you meet the requirements and are seen posting active IC content, you have a chance at gaining the role.

You may apply with more than one character. Please use separate forms for each character.

"If you want to create a special plot that led to being my apprentice, that is totally cool! Even before I choose an apprentice, I would love to get to know the cats that are being considered, and build a bit of a relationship beforehand. As I am a very friendly and open cat, I am more likely to pick a cat that I have a slight bond with, even if that bond is not 100% friendly and happy. After all, Frostfall's first words to me before she asked me to be her apprentice were to call me a bad warrior, so anything works! Now, even if we cannot make actual threads together, plotting on discord, and coming up with potential past interactions will still count in my mind!"

Character Name: Dustfur

Strengths:

    Dustfur looks out for others around him no matter what; even if someone is nothing but awful to him, they're still his clanmate, and he wouldn't let the past define what could happen in the future or challenge his views. He likes to keep an eye on kits and apprentices, and take note of the appearances of others after a disaster in case they have any scars or issues they didn't notice themselves.

    Though he used to be cripplingly shy, thanks to encouragement from those around him he has become more confident in himself, and is using that newfound self-confidence to speak to others much more than he used to and stand up for himself- he used to be so timid that even an apprentice probably could have bossed him around if they tried it, but has learned how to put his foot down without being harsh or demeaning of others.

    He is a pragmatic optimist, believing there's always hope as long as there's something unknown- sometimes that's just as simple as waiting for tomorrow to see if it's a better day, or as far-fetched as believing that all those who have disappeared could still one day return, because there's no proof that they're dead, either. Believing in this allows him to continue to work and push through every day as it comes and not handle loss too badly, leaving him open and available to help others who cannot cope as well or who need help.

    And all that aside, he simply wants to help others out the way his friends did when he was younger. He never felt confident that he could become a warrior, and often felt like he didn't deserve to have one for moons after he earned the simple name Dustfur. Though most of the cats he grew up with are now gone, disappeared on the winds, he still wants to live up to the trust and care that they gave to him.

Weaknesses:

    While he has gotten a little more confident, he's still easily shaken by anger in others, often preferring to duck out and leave the scene if he's afraid someone might be mad- which won't be something he can always do as a medicine cat, not in good conscience. He could probably learn how to force himself to stay, but the tradeoff would be that he'd likely cry a lot when stressful situations escalated.

    Though he can't just be bossed around by anyone anymore, he is still highly easy to convince to do things because he tends to think he has nothing better to do thanks to his days of feeling like a worthless warrior and being tasked with things that someone else really ought to have been doing. Even now, if someone older or tougher than him told him to go out and keep busy for a bit, he'd probably do it, or at least come very close.

    When he's stressed out, mad, or in any other way excited, his stutter from childhood comes back and can make him hard to understand as well as make him frustrated and defensive because he thinks of it as a stupid quirk and hates that he can't always control it.

    And he's already been trained as a warrior, much like Daisypetals had been- except Dustfur is actually a pretty decent warrior, in spite of his self-doubts and nervous nature.

Why?: Dustfur has long wanted to give back to the clan the care he felt it gave to him in the form of friends and family. Even if he isn't chosen to be the MCA, he would definitely be up for helping them out when there's too much going on for just the two healers to tackle on their own. I would definitely be up for some RP with Daisypetals and Dustfur, since Dustfur has respect not just for the position of medicine cat, but Daisypetals himself, too, for keeping up with a family and his duties as healer.
Other: I love MCA,, but I've also already had an HR(MisClan Leader), and many others here haven't had any at all yet :'>

Character Name: Whitepaw

Strengths:
Brave: Whitepaw isn't afraid to speak his mind when he knows something isn't right or is hurting someone. He will stand on the side that errs on the safety of his clan above all else.
Loyal: Whitepaw was raised by his clan more than anyone else. He will protect them with all his might, as they are the only true family he knows.
Attentive: Whitepaw is focused on small things as well as large. While this can mean he senses disappointment and disdain, it also means he can spot little things that need attention. He is loved y the elders for being amazing at picking ticks and fleas off with surprising accuracy
Kind-Hearted: Whitepaw is a softie, he is sweet towards all living things and always prays to starclan for the soul of his prey and food to be as cared for as they are. He always ensures his kills are quick as well. Along with the physical well being, he cares about others mind as well. He often will check in on clanmates that seem upset and is always willing to listen if they need to get something off their chest, though he has not yet built much knowledge to offer them should they ask for advice.
Weaknesses:
Nervous: Whitepaw is nervous about many things, mainly letting his clan down and being driven out. This can cause slight panic if he feels someone important is upset with him. He doesn't take scorn and harsh words well.
Overloads himself: His eager to please personality doesn't come ithout it's downsides. He is so eager to make sure everyone is happy with him that he will take on more than he can handle. This can cause him to get overwhelmed and feel suffocated by all he has to do.
Distracted: Whitepaw usually has more than one task going at the same time and will lose focus on one by getting distracted by another thing to do. He will often have two half finished projects when he realizes another thing to do and moved on to another
Overly focused: While his attention to details is very helpful at many times, it can get borderline obsessive. If he doesn't get his mind refocused on something else, he can get overly intent and lose track of time and day until everything is just right
Why?: Whitepaw is sweet and gentle. He finds soothing others comes naturally to him and will happily take time out of his day to help others. He loves to help the clan in any and all ways he can, but isn't a large fan of fighting and killing. He prefers to protect and avoid any confrontation if it is unneeded. He wants to make sure no one feels as lost and alone as he did as a kit when his mother left him before he could scarcely walk
Other: Medicine cat has always been a favorite role of mine! In little, ooold roleplays it was one I would fall into naturally. I would love to work it in a larger environment like this!

    I have decided that Bumblebee 's Whitepaw is the best fit for my apprentice. He reminds me of myself in youth, and I hope that as my apprentice he can find his place in our clan, just as I did. As for LupTacco 's Dustfur, I would like him to be my friend, and I wish to tell him some of my knowledge of herbs, so that he can help Whitepaw and myself in an emergency.
