Twistpaw is a rather average size for a cat her age - not too big, and not too small. Her fur is mostly grey, with a mackrel tabby pattern atop. Her underside, and all save one paw is white however - her front right paw being swirled grey like the rest of her body. The upper part of her muzzle is also snow-white. The darker fur around her eyes makes her light blue eyes really pop out.
Ironically, her marked front paw has also been greviously injured; due to an injury in her kithood, her paw has been broken and set wrong - giving her paw a lopsided, almost pigeon-toed step. It doesn't slow her down all that much, but she tends to pose instinctively with her twisted leg and paw drawn up into her chest - in an almost flamingo-legged pose.
With her disability, and her later start in life training to be an apprentice, Twistpaw has said many times she's had to work twice as hard as any others to show that she can keep up with everyone. Not that that has ever made her sad, or gotten her down about anything. She's the type of cat who always has a cheery smile for anyone, and will definitely dive in to help out someone. She loves solving puzzles, and going about learning how to do certain things 'her way' - and has never once complained about her lot in life. She works with it, and sees herself as only a little different from anyone else - and hey! everyone's a little different, right?
Twistpaw has a natural desire to help others; a carry-over from being one of the oldest kits in the clan for a long, long time. She will always have time to lay down with the little ones, even when she's tired, and play a good old game. She'll listen to the elder's stories with wide-eyed wonder just like the rest of them. She loves her clan, and is incredibly proud of finally being an apprentice - working every day to show that she earned to be there and to make her parents proud. At the same time, she has absolutely no problem speaking her mind - telling off cats twice her size for making fun of her or anyone else. In most of these cases, she will willing make up competitions against these people who make fun, if only so she can show them up and prove without a doubt that she is just as good as they are, maybe even better.
For all her demands that she is no different than others, though - she is decidedly clumsy when she gets distracted. One paw out of place, and - unable to quite balance the right way - she is often tripping on air or other cats. She is also prone to stepping heavier when stalking prey in the wild; and has yet to learn how to stealthily sneak up on someone. She is much more in your face about her methods of hunting - and, indeed, on getting even with others. If starting a competition with someone doesn't make them learn there lesson, she is not above petty grudge-holding and pranks - often leaving bits of stone and bone in other cat's nests, per say - to poke them all through their nights 'good' sleep, or playing sometimes mean-spirited tricks. What she finds fun is not always the case with others; and she does seem to relish a good argument.
If you don't like the way she say's something, why...you might just become a target for a spirited trick.
It is unknown what was Twistpaw's name before she was brought into Mistclan's fold; she was only a moon old when she was found; mewling and hungry, on Mistclan's borders. Questions as to why a single kit would be abandoned in such a way, and so young, was soon answered - as her front paw showed signs of damage, being twisted, dislocated, and with a few of the toes broken beyond much hope of her having a straight walk.
Most figure that her story was this; born to a loner mother, her injuries were too much for a single cat could hope with caring for. Perhaps, with other kits to feed as well, the unknown she-cat had simply abandoned the kit as many loners are want to do when they think a problem is beyond hope of healing.
Mistclan, being made up of honorable cats though, could not fault a blameless kit - namely, one nursing she-cat would not leave the kit alone, when her mate told her the tale of finding her on one of their border patrols; they scooped up the helpless kit and she was adopted into the queen's family - in a way, some said, replacing a runty tom she had lost a few days before.
Thus, the kit would never know she had actually been born outside the borders of Mistclan; she figured that her adoptive mother was her rightful one, as well as the siblings who suckled beside her . Despite her injury, she did her best to scamper around with the other cats, scooting as fast as any cat with her injured leg tucked up against her chest at first, and eventually supporting her weight for small walks. Still, due to this injury, her apprentice ceremony was seriously delayed as an attempt was made to correct the paw as much as possible. It was only after the she-cat showed and insisted that she could move just as fine as the others, and that it actually hurt to move the crooked limb from it's healed-in position, was she allowed to work with what she had and was named an apprentice of Mistclan.

Carried Home is a Warriors roleplay forum. We feature four clans - all four of which have futures that heavily depend on what your characters do - as well as a 50 word count minimum on RP posts, and a functioning currency and shop.
While most of the action does center around our four clans, members are also permitted to make loners, rogues, and kittypets. You can also make both StarClan and Dark Forest characters.
