Appearance:
Twigkit’s fur is mostly a pleasing, deep brown, while her front paws and maw are white. Talking about fur, Twigkit is floof. Much to her annoyance, this seems to be untamable. Her fur comes in long floppy locks, which thin out and get shorter at her paws and face. Twigkit is just so fluffy overall that it’s hard to tell where one part turns to another. Neck or chest? Flank or hind legs? Nobody knows. The most notable exception to this is her tail, which is so poofy that it’s hard not to consider it a separate entity, never mind a separate part of her. Twigkit also has distinct long brown ears which are thankfully free of the floppy fur covering the rest of her, or she might just overheat and pass out. Her nose is vaguely heart-shaped and the same colour as the inside of her ears, which is a slightly lighter brown shade than the rest of her. Her eyes are a light but rich green. She has long, thick whiskers. If you feel under her fur or somehow get her soaked, Twigkit undoubtedly has a solid fighter's build. Although, while she's not small, she's not a bodybuilder. Her muscle will likely be lean and spread out fairly evenly.
Personality:
Twigkit seems like a full-out snob on the surface. With the tattling, over-the-top manners, nearly cartoonish loyalty, and using long words she doesn’t really get, she has all of the classic markers of the clan know-it-all. That may help explain why many, including the she-kit herself, aren’t aware that her most annoying traits are just manifestations of an internal struggle to satisfy her perfectionism.
In an effort to be perfect she tries to copy authority figures, who she believes were lifted far above ordinary cats by StarClan because they were perfect. This makes her waste her own intelligence because she sees no reason to think for herself when there are so many other good sources of instruction. It probably doesn’t help that her current lack of self-awareness and how easily she’s influenced by others make her fail to see that she is intelligent.
She also tries hard to look “proper”, grooming down her fur to the best of her ability and sitting up stiffly, as well as throwing around complex or obscure words she doesn’t understand. She tries to hide how much effort it is for her, and insists that she’s just naturally “collected”, but the way she splays out her limbs in her sleep betrays her.
As she grows older and a tiny bit more aware, she feels like she lags behind, or doesn’t understand things that others do. Her adoptive family taking her fully into the fold has been good for her, but it leaves her feeling a bit like a runt because all of her siblings are four moons older than her. She also doesn’t get how her idols can be so carefree. It’s irresponsible in her mind, but they must know something she doesn’t because… say it with me... authority figures are perfect. Twigkit often finds herself frustrated because many things she values are not natural traits of hers. She works hard to be precise and her steps come out sloppy. She wants to be supportive yet breaks down under pressure. She wants to be laser-focused and is pulled in many different directions.
She consistently falls short of her goals because they’re unreachable, but falls short even of reachable goals because subtlety is lost on her and she views things only in their simplest form. This may even be the cause of her perfectionism in the first place, thinking that there’s either perfect kits or bad kits. She takes pride in being a “perfect kit” and in always being there to “help” others reach perfection, which includes both being supportive to a fault and snitching on petty rule breaking. When it comes to supporting others, the phrase “stick together” comes to mind. She does most things better with a partner and has always been slightly disappointed that she didn't have any siblings her own age.
She’s been remarkably versatile and impressionable as a kit, given her otherwise rigid demeanor, but the window on that seems to be rapidly closing as she tries to figure out who and what she’s “supposed” to be. She thinks she has a lot of potential that she could fulfill if she stuck doggedly to a goal.
With all that said, Twigkit’s personality is something of a time bomb. Her ignorance currently keeps her happy overall, but it can’t be long until she starts to actually listen to her thoughts.

History:
Twigkit was born from a forbidden relationship between Bearstar and Brackenstar. She has a sister in MistClan called Lakekit, a sister in MothClan called Galekit, and a brother in RootClan called Claykit. The four of them are apparently involved in a prophecy to “bind the forest as one” and “ensure peace has won” that required Bearstar to split them up into the four clans. She has a brother in MistClan named Robinkit, who is not part of the prophecy, probably a spare or a mistake or something idk. Though Twigkit is aware that she’s adopted, she doesn’t know anything about where she came from.
Not long after her birth, she was brought to IvyClan by Lilydawn and given to Cicadawish to nurse. Cicadawish and her mate Cricketjump ended up adopting her as their own. The couple’s biological daughter Skip-paw, and their biological sons Twitchpaw, Flickerpaw, Hop-paw, and Fidgetpaw were four moons old at the time. They have all accepted Twigkit into their family as well. Twigkit likes to joke that it’s okay she wasn’t in the litter with them, because she’s like three or four kits in one.
Rookstar died when Twigkit was two moons old, but because of this young age, the only leader she has ever known is Heronstar.
Twigkit’s life so far has been mostly happy-go-lucky, filled with well-behaved antics. The first notable one of these was when she was three moons old and started to claim that her white parts were less susceptible to sunburn, and that her eyes were virtually immune. She even used to “prove” it by staring at the sun, only dropping the habit to please her adoptive parents after it started to worry them. Nobody is sure where she got these ideas from, especially since it was still Newleaf at the time and she’d never been sunburnt.
Luckily, the rest of her habits were relatively harmless. From "kit-only!" dens and mud hills as a young kit, to nests and patching up the nursery as she grew more "sensible", Twigkit has always been good at building and fixing things. The only issue she has is that her work is never done. There's always more polishing. This doesn’t bother her, as she usually has nothing better to do than sit and work for hours on making something look just right.
Over the few moons she’s been alive, Twigkit has made an effort to collect words that she thinks make her sound smart. She often throws them out in casual conversation, in the wrong context, or says them wrong. This combined with her impressionable (read: gullible!) nature means that several fake words have also worked their way into her vocabulary.
One constant through all of this has been meticulously grooming her fur. What may seem vain to others is really just Twigkit’s way of not carrying around half of her nest all day. Things get caught in her fur very easily, and it’s hard to get them out. Something as simple as a burr could get her in the medicine cat den with a bald patch. As annoying as this is now, it’s probably going to get a lot worse after she is apprenticed and moving around in the territory.
Finally, it’s important to note that Twigkit has been so impressionable her whole life that it’s difficult to figure out whether a trait comes from inside of her or from her surroundings. For example, Skip-paw idolizes Owleyes. Did this contribute to Twigkit’s star-struck mentality, or was that already there? Twitchpaw tries to act like a good role model around her, and she tries to set a good example for everyone else. Would she have done that anyway? These are just a few of countless things about Twigkit that nobody can answer for certain. Basically, don't be surprised if she suddenly has a lot in common with her mentor after a moon of training.
