Shorthaired genetically solid ginger with a small build.
Amongst his siblings, with their coats of cooler greys, diluted colors and sparse orange among black, Carpkit is rather startlingly ruddy of color; his coat being a motly shade of ginger and red in the vaguest of tabby patterns. It is hard in direct light to distinguish any sort of difference in his pelt, but the base ginger pelt does give away in some areas to darker 'tangerine' striping and dark, dark peach bits here and there, with no real rhyme or reason. The biggest hint you get from looking at him is brightness; he is not made to blend in too well with anything but a leaf-bare background - and therefore will have to do his best to disguise his pelt against the watery backgrounds of his home.
Luckily, he will have a lack of bulk on his side; Carpkit is a cat who is built compactly and certainly on the smaller side as tom's go. His fur is short and grows tight to his body, with only occasional longer bits around his joints to keep away the chill. His eyes, perhaps all the more brilliant for his fiery pelt, will darken from their kit blue to a lively green eventually.
Most children, of any species, go through a certain phase of making odd friends. Carpkit is just...odder than most. He is a cat of extensive imagination - taking in stories of ghosts and his warrior ancestors in stride, and soaking them up like a soggy bit of moss. In his mind, his ancestors will not only watch over him, but live around him.
While not exactly a hermit, and not opposed to making friends, Carpkit will cope with any childhood lonliness by making his own friends - quite literally. Developing a bit of a hoarding condition, Carpkit is prone to collecting 'interesting' looking pebbles and bric-a-brac, and giving them his own sorts of names - not scientific, but friendly (inanimate warriors that reflect what he feels is their 'personality') so to speak. Yes, this is odd - and certainly a little off-putting if he does not eventually grow out of it, but you can't fault someone for having an imagination, can you?
Carpkit is a fellow who is certainly able to laugh at himself too - he doesn't take himself too seriously, and often seems oblivious of when he is being singled out or made fun off. He is a cat who really believes the best in everyone - and will never quite understand the real need behind clan divides, growing up at a time when Mothclan and Rootclan lived side by side with them.
Carpkit is newly born: with two other brothers (one stillborn) and two healthy sisters. His family has a rather proud history, and includes:
Carried Home is a Warriors roleplay forum. We feature four clans - all four of which have futures that heavily depend on what your characters do - as well as a 50 word count minimum on RP posts, and a functioning currency and shop.
While most of the action does center around our four clans, members are also permitted to make loners, rogues, and kittypets. You can also make both StarClan and Dark Forest characters.
