Poppyjaw She-cat 85 Moons Heterosexual Mothclan Warrior I'd have cracked years ago if it weren't for my sense of...humor. Genotype (optional) Appearance Poppyjaw is a she-cat with an interesting pattern of colors; she has black fur, primarily; with a white bib and paws - but both colors or shot through with a creamy orange color as if it was glowing. Her fur is very long and spiky, more wiry than soft, and like many of her siblings, she inherited their curled tail. Her nose and paw pads have remained light pink since she was a kit, with piercing yellow eyes. Personality Poppyjaw is a she-cat who used to dream of being a perfect mother; only to have those dreams constantly crushed and eventually becoming embittered to life and to anyone who happens to have a happy family.  She is a dry, sarcastic she-cat who deals with her sadness by lashing out at younger members of the clan or expectant mothers; let's just say she's not popular around the nursery.  She has dealt with life's disappointments in many other ways. The older she gets, the more paranoid she becomes about her appearance, grooming herself so obsessively that her fur has become almost permanently spiked. She chase after able-bodied toms like a cat twice less her age - generally putting young, eligible toms on edge around her. But her like and love is as fickle as the wind - if she does not get love back, she immediately snaps out and basically throws the cat aside; attacking them with words if not physical violence, in an attempt to make herself feel better. She has no patience for kits or apprentices - and yet, she is often looked upon to babysit and train like any member of her clan. This infuriates her, and often she mocks the younger cats - repeating their questions back to them in a high-pitched mockery in their own voice, after giving them a strong cuff to get away from her.  She also has a bit of a nasty habit; she occasionally takes a nibble of catnip to help herself try and mellow out after a long day's patrol; obvious by the fact that her speech becomes slurred and she becomes a little mush-mouthed. But she can go from being mellow to strung out within moments. History Poppykit was born in a relatively large family - her siblings being Dappledkit, Patchkit, and Daffodilkit. Her parents were Twist-tail and Snowmane. Snowmane, their mother, was once in the running for the deputy position, but ultimately gave that up in order to have a family first. His father, on the other hand, was not all that popular due to the fact that his mother had been a kittypet. When she was finally named an apprentice alongside her siblings, Poppyjaw didn't exactly push herself to be the best of fighters. She imagined, like her mother before her, that she was going to be a queen - and began planning her litters long before she was old enough to have them. The moon before she and her siblings were to be made warriors, a small tragedy struck the family. Snowmane had been out with Dappledpaw - probably the most dedicated of them all. Their mother had decided that she would live through Dappledpaw and train her daughter to take on ambitions to be the deputy in their place. But a surprise rockfall and crushed them. According to their Medicine Cat at the time, they could possibly have been saved if they had been found earlier, but by the time they were stumbled upon, both had expired. It devastated their entire family, and in her head, she decided she was going to take their mother's place as, well..a mother. Finally named Poppyjaw,  alongside brother Patchfrost and Sister Daffodilclaw. She immediately hooked up with a tom...or rather, several toms. She was a bit of a flirt in her youth and her thought was not about the true love she'd get from one mate, but from multiple kits. But those kits never came. No matter how she tried, or what sort of reputation she gained, she remained kitless - and this slowly drove her to her bitter attitude and turned her love for kits into a sort of dislike of other queens who got what she couldn't have. She was getting quite of a name for herself, by the time that Mothmaw of Mistclan struck out on his own and established his own clan. She didn't leave immediately, seeing how their brother Patchfrost was disowned for leaving, but eventually she struck out and followed him.
