Sunfire padded through the tunnels taking it on as her job to inspect the tunnels and make sure that everything is ok. She wanted to make sure nothing was hiding in these tunnels that could be a threat to her clan as well as to make sure they weren't falling apart. So far everything seamed to be perfectly fine. A shiver ran down her spine not of fear but of excitement as she never knew what might be around the next bend. She was always up for a good fight so Sunfire dared anyone to try anything with her on guard. The back of her neck pricked up as she imagined a foe around the next bend. It was a game she liked to play when by herself sometime. She let out a hiss picked up her speed and leaped around the bend with claws out and fangs bared. She had know idea that a cat would actually be around the next bend for she hadn't scented the air.
The dark mink color tom was spending some time alone, as he has trouble being social with other clan mates. So since he was alone he wasn't expecting someone to come around the bend from where he was sitting. Once his clan mate came around the corner and she was to play fight. As he didn't expect that, he didn't move out of the way and he noticed the clan-mate when she hit him.
He leaped to his paw and his pelt bristled for a second. But it was only a second as he took a deep breath and noticed it was his clan-mate. His social issues grew though, but his feel need to fight wasn't there any more thanks to noticing it was his clan-mate. "Su...Sun...fi...Sunfire.I..I.. was..wasn't expect...expecting you." he stuttered.
As Sunfire leaped around the bend ready to attack her imaginary foe she was completely shocked to see a cat actually in front of her. As soon as she saw him she realized she wasn't going to be able to stop in time but she managed to slide her claws back in so as to hopefully lesson any damage she might accidentally do to the tom.
Sunfire let out an oomph as she hit Thrushfire. She was as shocked as him. She stepped back and blinked at him. "Sorry I thought I was alone I didn't mean to startle you." If it had been any other cat she would asked them to have a practice bout but everyone in Rootclan knew socially awkward around others. "I didn't hurt you did I? I was just goofing around while I patrolled the tunnels." She felt bad for the tom it was obvious how uncomfortable he was by the way he spoke. She gave her chest fur a lick and flicked her tail.
Thrushfeather, looked himself over quickly, with his lovely blue eyes and noticed that he wasn't badly hurt. "No.. y..you hav...haven't hu..hurt me." he meowed. He licked his own chest fur as he felt a bit nervous. He wrapped his tail around his paws.
"Goof...goofing...a...ar...around?" he asked tilting his head. As his blue eyes looked at the lovely orange tabby molly, he felt his heart skip a beat. As he looked at her he thought she looked lovely, and as she looked lovely, he wondered why she was staying and speaking to this non-social clan-mate. Why should she? There was better social clan-mates. "Wa...was i..it f...fun?" he asked.
Sunfire smiled at Thrushfeather it was kind of a nice surprise running into him. He was shy and a bit on the quiet side while she was always full of spunk and energy and talkative it was kind of nice being around someone who was the opposite of her. When he said she hadn't hurt him she let out a sigh of relief glad that the gentle tom was ok. "I'm glad, I would hate for you to have gotten injured because of my silly game."
When Thrushfeather asked her if she had, had fun with her game she purred softly. "In a way it was because I ran into you. It was a nice surprise." She blinked her grass green eyes shyly... woo that was a first she had never felt shy around anyone before. Why was her heart still racing? She felt.... warm and happy when she talked with Thrushfeather.
"It...it was a great su...suprise running in...in ...to ...y..you" he stuttered. Darn with his darn stuttering and social oddness. He found what she said to run through his head, the fact that it was a nice surprise to run into him. Not many clan-mates say that. They tend to avoid him with his social oddness and all.
He noticed her green eyes, and when he did, he found himself falling for her lovely green eyes. The way her green eyes shined it showed her lovely spitfire spirit shining through them.
If cats could blush Sunfire's face would be beat red when she heard him say it had been a nice surprise for him as well to run into her. Why was her body acting this way? For eighteen moons she had never felt anything but curiosity, love for her family, and the excitement for new adventures. Normally she would be nonstop chatter but for some reason when she was around Thrushfeather she found herself tripping over her own tongue. She didn't know how to reply to his words and that had never happened to her before. "Maybe we were just lucky... no it had to of been fate for us to both be in this tunnel at the same time. I mean what are the coincidences?" Ok now she was talking to much uh make up your mind already.
The dark mink male let his tail move away from his paws and felt uneasy. How can he not feel so uneasy? He isn't around anyone outside his own family most of the time. He is closes to his mother Swanstream. He isn't his parent's first litter, but he also wasn't his parents' last litter either.
"Maybe it is fa...fa...fat..fate for this. Do..yo...you...wa...wan..to... ma...may...maybe do...so..som...something to...to...together?" he stuttered looking to his paws quickly.
Sunfire looked down at her paws and shuffled them a bit feeling shy and nervous. But why she was feeling this way she still didn't understand. Thrushfeather was a sweet and kind hearted tom. She had always been able to see that in him even though they never really talked he was just so shy and had trouble talking to others. She had always wanted to talk to him and try to become his friend but she had always been told to just leave him be by one cat or another so she had.
At the sound of his voice her ears pricked up and she looked up. "Yea i'd like that, what would you like to do Thrushfeather?" She would let him decide what to do, Sunfire was sure he would think of something fun for the two of them to do. That and she was always up for anything.
Thrushfeather felt very nervous when Sunfire let him decide on what for them to do. He wasn't sure, he figured just normal hunting date wouldn't be something Sunfire would be looking for. After a bit of thinking an idea came to him. Why not they just really play fight? They did meat by knocking into each other, so, what if they really play fight if that is what she wanted to do today.
"We...well, si..since you wa...wanted to pla...play figh...fight to..today wh... why do...don't w..we do..th...that....to...today? he asked titling his head.
