A lovely white tom, woke early with a start. He remembered this morning was the day that he was to spend some one on one time with his father Tumblefoot. The white tom looks more like his mother Snowstorm, but for his fur is short like his father instead of long like his mother. Rabbitheart wasn't sure at first what his father wanted to do. 

"Tumblefoot? the young warrior called, as he stepped out of the warriors den and was unable to find his father with a quick glance. He turned to the nursery area, to see real quick if his father was there, visiting his mother. As you see, Snowstorm is a perm-queen. He figured he wait for his father by the opening of camp. He decided to skip breakfast this morning.

Tumblefoot woke early that morning for he was to be meeting with his son Rabbitheart that morning. It had been nice sleeping in the same nest as his mate again. They had stayed up late grooming one another's fur and whispering to one another so as to not wake up the queens and their kits. Now as he woke up he slowly stepped around Snowstorm being careful not to wake her up and made his way out of the nursery. Once outside he stopped and let himself stretch his back and legs than gave himself a shake and yawned.

Scanning the camp clearing he spotted his son by the entrance and padded over to him and purred, "Morning Rabbitheart. Why don't we take a little walk and have a little talk." Tumblefoot led the way out of camp, they weren't going far just a few rabbit hops from the camp wall so as not to be overheard. Though if someone did hear it was no biggie he just didn't wish to disturb anyone who might still be sleeping.

Tumblefoot stopped a couple yards from camp and sat down curling his tail around his paws. "Have a seat." Tumblefoot paused and waited for his son to sit down before he continued. "Son your fourteen moons old now which means you'll probably start getting feelings for a she-cat soon or sometime in the future at least. And before that happens if it hasn't happened already you need to learn the proper way to treat a she-cat."

The white tom followed his father once his father came out of the nursery, to visit his mother, just as the young tom thought he was at. Once his father paused, he paused as well. Once told to sit, he did the same, and sat down and wrapped his tail around his paws.

Rabbitheart grew nervous when his father started speaking/ we really doing this? He should have known this would happen at some point. Has he had a crush on anyone recently? Well no, not yet. He just been focusing on being a good loyal warrior thing, and not search for anyone.

That, however, got him to think also, though it is good for him to know once he does meet that special someone
"There is no one right now, I have an interest in. But you are right, father, that I should learn how to treat her someday." he meowed, with his own blue eyes looking back to the older tom. The white tom gave his father his full focus as he was ready to learn.

Tumblefoot watched as his son sat down and curled his tail around his paws. He smiled at his son. He was sad that his son hadn't found anyone yet but he was still very young. "Well when you do it can happen when you least expect it and with whom you least expect. Me and your mother grew up together and were the best of friends. Your mother helped me learn how to control these big paws of mine so I can hunt and fight. I'm still a bit clumsy from time to time but more often than not it's just to make your ma laugh. You see a tom should always treat a she-cat with respect, understanding, and love. It's our job to keep them happy. When their sad we do silly or stupid things to make them smile." He paused to catch his breath. There was much more to it than making a she-cat smile and laugh but he'd let him son soak in that nugget before going any further.

Rabbitheart listened closely, he does remember hearing some of the stories already. Hearing that his parents grew up together. He took the stuff in, as the story was told. He nodded his head. "Please go on. There has to be more to it then making them laugh." he meowed, licking his chest fur twice as he was a bit nervous of more of this.

Tumblefoot gave his son a look that told him to be patient and to hold his tongue. "Did you not hear the rest Rabbitheart? Open your ears, yes there is more, I also mentioned respect which is something I feel you may still need to learn son. And keeping your mate happy is very important, a happy queen is a happy life with that queen. There is nothing more important that the happiness, safety, and well being of your mate and kits. If you don't show them the love and respect they deserve you and that queen won't be together for long. Is that what you want Rabbitheart? Nothing but a quick fling with several she-cats? If so than ignore my words and go back to camp for I will teach you nothing else. But if you want a life long mate someone you can share the good, the bad, your joy, and your sorrow with than sit still and keep that maw of yours under control son."

Rabbitheart looked to his paws when his father gave him that look, he remembered getting every so often growing up. He was more determined to listen and learn though. He sat up and focused his ears so he could take things in and hopefully all that he needed to learn.

Respect is another, of course, he should have known! He should have heard that. He was more annoyed with himself for not remembering that. The white young warrior knew he was still young and still has a lot to learn. Keep your mate happy. This means a happy life with the queen. He keeps taking all this information in.

Safety, and happiness, of course, he knows that safety is important. Sure, most queens where warriors before they became queens. Even his mother, and so they can fight and will fight when need to. But it doesn't fall on just them. It also falls on all cats in the clan.

When his father asked him, If he wants just short flings with she-cats. No, of course, he doesn't want that. "No, of course, I don't just want flings." he whispered, but enough for his father to hear him. He nodded his head, and shut his mouth and if he could give his father more of his focus he would, but he already started giving his father even more of his focus to his father.

Tumblefoot saw that his son realized his mistake and let out a sigh and let his tail rest on his back. "Your a good cat Rabbitheart, your young and you may not understand right now. But someday when you find your mate you will realize that you would do anything to keep the love of your life safe. Especially when they are carrying your kits." At the mention of the mate carrying kits a smile spread across his face and his eyes softened. "I have some news, you'll find out soon enough anyway so I might as well tell you." He nervously scraped his paw against the ground. "We're expecting kits, your mother and I."

After a moment he cleared his throat and took a deep breath. "I have shared everything I can think of with you about the care and treatment of a she-cat. There is only one last thing to tell you and it's probably the most important thing I'll say today. Besides the news of a new litter." he purred softly than quickly cut it off. "Your mate is always right, even when she's wrong, she's right." Tumblefoot chuckled softly. "These words can help you from getting into a fight or argument with whoever you fall in love with."

The white tom felt the heat go through him with a blush when his father brought up carrying kits. But he quickly hid that part, as he knew he needed to hear this and he wanted to, so he knew what to do when he found his mate someday.

His ears perked up at the sound of having some news. He gave a small purr at that thought. "Congrats!" he meowed with a purr.

He gave focus again when his father spoke again of the final advice. He gave a chuckle at that last comment and nodded. "That would come in mind. Thank you. Congrats again!" he purred at the end.
