[ti]Private[/ti]Dashing Through The Snow

After a decent sleep in the apprentices' den, Goldenpaw felt a bit more energized. He blinked his eyes open and stretched his legs out. He slowly dragged himself out of his nest, and scanned the den for his sister's bright white pelt. The moment he spotted it, he bounded over, nudging her with his paw. "Flurrypaw", he whispered. "Wake up. Want to go out and play?"

Flurrypaw didn't budge. Peeking outside, Goldenpaw noticed a few white flakes falling from the sky, and a thin blanket of snow on the groud. He tapped his paws gleefully and nudged Flurrypaw again. He leaned into her ear and whispered, "Flurrypaw! It's snowing!" 

He began to dart towards the exit, stopping to wait for his sister. He could feel a few snowflakes landing on his fur, and felt overjoyed. He had to curb his excitement for a moment to make sure Flurrypaw wouldn't be annoyed.

Flurrypaw rose from her cozy corner of the den, relaxed by her peaceful dreams of striding along endless sunlit fields.

"Oh. Goldenpaw...", she grumbled, still ruffled, her coat unkempt with excess precipitation that had seeped into the corner. She was caught off guard by his joyous bouncing around the den.

"Snow!", she realized why Goldenpaw was so enthusiastic now. The ground was covered in a thick pelt of snow.

Goldenpaw took a leap outside, kicking up a dust of snow that reached his face. He twitched his whiskers to clear it, then looked back at Flurrypaw, who seemed to be enthusiastic about the newly fallen snow. "Watch out, Flurrypaw!"


He took some snow and rolled it with his paws, the flicked it at his sister. It missed by a small distance. Goldenpaw chirped with disappointment as he stepped back and rolled up some more snow. He slipped as he attempted to throw it, landing face first in the snow. He pawed it off and laughed, imagining how he must have looked.
