HeronStar leapt up onto the highrock, her claws scratching against its hard surface. It felt as if it had been ages since she had addressed her clan, even if it had only been one moon. It had felt as if life had just been in an awkward stand still, with not much happening wither good or bad. But today, HeronStar was ready to put a little bit of action into what had felt like a dull moon. "IvyClan!" she called, summoning anyone who was close enough to hear. "Gather beneath the Highrock for a clan meeting!" She waited for a few moments, giving her classmates enough time to rise from their nests and join her. "Today, three kits will be becoming apprentices. Bushykit, Swirlkit, and Whirlkit, please step forwards." The brown patched leader wasted no time in beginning the ceremonies. Starting with Swirlkit, she touched her nose to the new apprentice's head, speaking a few words of wisdom. "Swirlkit, your mentor will be Twigleaf. I believe that she will help you to grow into your place as a strong warrior." HeronStar gave Swirlpaw another little nudge before sending her out to meet her mentor. Then, she quickly moved on to Swirlkit's brother. "Whirlkit, you will be trained by Hickorysnap. He can teach you to let your deep thoughts shine." Once again, Heronstar touched her nose to the young cat, sharing in a moment of pride. "Finally, Bushykit, I have seen your love of adventure, something that I share. Because of that, I will be your mentor." HeronStar touched noses with her new apprentice, giving her a little lick on the forehead. "We'll be a great team."
"My horse is the greatest horse CUZ ITS NOT REALLY A HORSE AT ALL! Its more like a tortilla, On top of another tortilla Filled with gooey cheese fresh salsa too They forgot my sour cream....."
Dustytuft was certainly feeling her age this leaf-bare, her bones aching and an odd click having developed in her haunches. Last week, she had spotted a bit of grey speckling her muzzle. But that was besides the point. Time would march on, and once more there were more young cats' giving their all for the clan. As always, the had lost a few; and now, they would have more.
“Bushypaw, Whirlpaw, Swirlpaw!” She positively beamed as the kits took their stand. She had never had kits of her own, and seemed far beyond it now. But Cowlily had been her own apprentice one day – and now her children were becoming apprentices. In a strange way, she felt like she was their proud godmother – or maybe, perhaps, grandmother. “We'll have you trained up in no time. All of you; your parents would be so proud!” She purred enthusiastically, trying to make up for the lackluster reception of the last few weeks.
Bloompath too watched the new apprentices being named; and he felt a little pang that yet again he had missed out on getting his own apprentice. Heronstar had never been anything but friendly, but maybe she still didn't trust him all that much. He knew that some others looked at him oddly, both for his many scars. He did his best to remain upbeat at all times, but it was hard – especially when his brothers and family were off on their own adventures and busy with their own lives.
“They'll make good warriors soon enough, don't you think?” He tried to make small talk with one of the other warriors next to him – a she-cat named Sandhawk who gave him a rather dark glance and subtly took steps away from him without answering. The young tom sighed and hung his head ever so slightly. He'd have to keep trying, he guessed.
Carried Home is a Warriors roleplay forum. We feature four clans - all four of which have futures that heavily depend on what your characters do - as well as a 50 word count minimum on RP posts, and a functioning currency and shop.
While most of the action does center around our four clans, members are also permitted to make loners, rogues, and kittypets. You can also make both StarClan and Dark Forest characters.
