Flaxpelt didn't expect to be the first one to the meeting. But here she was, alone at the Mine, waiting for the others. The breeze tussled her colorpoint fur, drifting across the inside of the cave. She stopped to admire the scenery, with a purr of amusement, before looking back to await the arrival of the Medicine Cats of the other Clan. Her tail swished from side to side with relaxation.
After a while, she grew impatient, pacing back and forth. Her bright green-and-yellow eyes flicked around, and she tried to pick up any signs of their presence. She picked up a rustle in the grass, and perked her ears.
Whitepaw bounced along with the excitement of a young kit. Since he had been the medicine cat apprentice for Mistclan he had been to a mere handful of these gatherings. The clans had been wracked with this, that, the other thing. Seemingly every time he turned around the last few moons, something had gone awry with one of the clans and the meetings were postponed. But tonight everything had finally fallen together and he was more than ready.
He was the only medicine cat apprentice between all the clans and was eager to receive his full name and he had hopes it would happen tonight. He was old enough and had been managing fairly well even if Daisypetals was away. He felt ready.
He shouldered his way through the tall grass into the clearing before the tunnels that lead to the Moonstone. A broad grin split his maw as he spotted Flaxpelt already waiting. "Hello Flaxpelt! Beautiful night to spend with Starclan isn't it! How has Ivyclan been?" He inquired as he settled down a few steps away the other medicine cat.
"Nothing much going on in IvyClan", Flaxpelt responded to Whitepaw's question. And that was true. Not much had been happening in IvyClan. It was fairly quiet there, but she wondered how the other Clans were doing. Perhaps MistClan had some updates.
She stopped to stare up at the clear night sky and the faintly glowing moon above, and then down at the wind weaving through the tall grass and through her pelt. The ambient song of the quiet breeze was calming, and seemed to whisk away all her worries.
"So, how's MistClan?", she inquired, moving closer to Whitepaw. "I hope things are going fine"
"Similar news from Mistclan. It seems things have perhaps finally settled down. That would be a nice change of pace." He purred back. Life had been plenty hectic lately, so he felt they deserved at least a few moons of rest. "It is a wonderful night for us all to gather again though, isn't it." The clear sky above seemed as though Starclan was smiling down, welcoming back the medicine cats and as eager to commune with them as Whitepaw himself felt.
"Honestly we could use some kits. None of our couples seem to have deemed it time for little ones though." He chuckled slightly. "Any kits over in Ivyclan? I do so miss the little antics of them." Had he not gone the path of medicine cat and sworn to a life of celibacy, Whitepaw would have been more than happy to father kits. Their mischief making always amused him and he would have loved to raise his own litter. Even though, he was dedicated to his current path and had no plans to stray from it, instead he simply would consider all of the kits he helped bring into the world as his own! Someday he would have an apprentice to raise in his footsteps as well and he would lavish that little one with praise and love until he took his last breath.

Daisypetals stood behind his apprentice. Of course, Whitepaw would not be his apprentice much longer. If he were totally honest, the young tom could have been given his name long ago. Perhaps, Daisypetals thought, that is what he should have done. However, fate had seemingly had something else in mind for the both of them. Each time that Daisypetals thought it was time, something else would get in the way. One of them would get sick, someone would have an injury to treat, the usual mishaps. But tonight, it was finally time. After a few more moments of waiting for others to arrive, Daisypetals felt that they could not dawdle any longer. "Well," the fluffy tom mewed, pushing himself to his paws, "I suppose that we should get things started!" The excitement in his voice dripped like honey. Once inside the mines, Daisypetals basked in the cool light of the moonstone. Across from him, Whitepaw's pale fur was illuminated by the moonlight. Fluffy tendrils of fur framed his face, looking like gorgeous petals. Just as StarClan had told him moons ago, his apprentice had blossomed into the perfect cat to take his place one day as MistClan's medicine cat. "Fellow Medicine cats, we are gathered to honor Whitepaw. He has trained under me for many, MANY, moons, and been through countless adventures. Now, it is time for him to begin one more adventure. By the powers of StarClan, and every medicine cat who came before me, I welcome you now as Whiteblossom!"
Whitepaw sprang to his paws as his mentor spoke up and beckoned them into the tunnels. The sight of the moonstone never failed to leave the tom in awe. It's glimmering shine under the moonlight and the way the stars themselves seemed to live inside of it made it clear that this wasn't just any normal stone.
He was about to settled down next to the stone when Daisypetal's voice rang through the cavern.
A chill swept through Whiteblossom's body as he was given his new name. Finally he was no longer a 'paw' and now had his full and final name! A broad grin stretched across his maw as he turned the name over in his mind. "Whiteblossom! I am Whiteblossom!" He purred softly and dipped his head in thanks to Daisypetals, who no longer was his mentor but now simply his fellow medicine cat. "Thank you Daisypetals. I am honored to be able to have trained under you. You have taught me so much. And now I am honored to come before Starclan as Whiteblossom." With that he settled down next to the stone and gently touched his nose to it, slipping soon into sleep to commune with the many ancestors that had come before him
Although Whiteblossom wasn't her apprentice, Flaxpelt couldn't help but feel a surge of pride for the new medicine cat. A shiver of unobtainable excitement coursed through her body, followed by a familiar feeling of warmth glowing in her heart.
She knew he had been training for countless moons to achieve this. A loud purr began to rise in her throat as she padded up to Whiteblossom. She could see the joy glimmering in the tom's eyes.
Her tail fluffed out with excitement, waving high in the air as she spoke.
"Congratulations, Whiteblossom", she mewed, her whiskers quivering with amusement.

Carried Home is a Warriors roleplay forum. We feature four clans - all four of which have futures that heavily depend on what your characters do - as well as a 50 word count minimum on RP posts, and a functioning currency and shop.
While most of the action does center around our four clans, members are also permitted to make loners, rogues, and kittypets. You can also make both StarClan and Dark Forest characters.
