"May all cats old enough to fight their own battles gather for a clan meeting!"
Mothstar's call reverberated across the cluster of rocks that MothClan had decided to call home. Stood on top of the largest rock in the area, he waited for a few moments, allowing time for the members of his clan to gather, before he spoke again.
"Leaf-bare is here and, with it, the cold had arrived. This is no problem, though, as our attempts at increasing our prey gathering have been going well and I have no doubt that we will continue to remain strong throughout the season. But in order to keep up our strength, we must bring in new blood. With that in mind - Lynxpaw, please step forward."
The time had come to name a new warrior. There was only one apprentice of age this moon, but that was fine. One was still more than none.
"I, Mothstar, leader of MothClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. He has trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend him to you as a warrior in his turn. Lynxpaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend your Clan, even at the cost of your life?"
Mothstar paused for a positive answer before continuing.
"Then by the powers of StarClan, I give you your warrior name. Lynxpaw, from this moment on you will be known as Lynxheart. StarClan honours your determination and bravery, and we welcome you as a full warrior of MothClan. Tonight, you will sit a silent vigil outside of camp."
As the clan cheered Lynxheart's name, Mothstar hopped off his rock and followed the tradition of resting his muzzle on the new warrior's head as they licked his shoulder. Once that was done, he returned to his previous position. "We also have some kits that are of age to become apprentices. Sheepkit, Emberkit, and Honeykit - you have all reached the age of six moons, and it is time for you to be apprenticed. Please step forward."
Again, Mothstar paused to allow the kits to do as requested.
"From this day on, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Sheeppaw, Emberpaw, and Honeypaw. Sheeppaw, your mentor will be Ghostclaw. Emberkit, Heronfrost shall mentor you, and Honeykit will be mentored by Lusterface. I can only hope that your respective mentors will pass down everything that they know to each of you."
He waited as the clan cheered the names of the three new apprentices and then leapt off the rock once more, the clan meeting over.
