Oakwish stood at the edge of Starclan's territory and the beginning of the Dark Forest she knew contained her friend. The stars in her pelt shone brightly, the clans hadn't forgotten about her at all. After all, it had only been a few days since she passed. Two equally starry birds hung from her mouth as she stared into the trees, barely able to see a few fox lengths inside. If she went in who knows if she'd ever find her way out, but she was sure Tanglefur was hungry. He was barely anything but skin and bones, starved to death alone. But the cat who killed her lurked within the forest, and she couldn't quite recall his name. All she recalled was a sweet voice and a spotted pelt, and terrible fangs that dug deep into her throat. She remembered the feeling of drowning, alone in her own nest yet surrounded by her clan.

Hesitantly the she cat took a step forward. She had to do this, even if she never returned. Her friend needed food, she just hoped she could get it to him before she was spotted by another cat within the clutches of the Starclan forsaken place.

Tanglefur's paws were starting to ache. Who knew how long he had been walking when he looked up and saw light ahead. A small smile appeared on his face as he saw a cat at the border between the Dark Forest and the Starclan border. "Oakwish." He spoke softly, going up to her, a purr rumbling in his throat. "Thank goodness you ended up in Starclan."

"'Angleur!" Oakwish meowed around the mouthful of feathers, setting the starry prey onto the ground as Tanglefur approached. "Here, eat this. I caught them for you. You look hungry." She explained, nudging one of the bodies toward him eagerly. She paused, considering the second part of his statement. "I think I was in the forest, some cat with a kind voice. I think a spotted pelt? I don't really remember much." Her expression fell as she spoke, glancing toward her paws thoughtfully.
