The Rules
We expect all of our members, including our staff, to uphold, respect, and honor the site rules. We all make mistakes, and there is leniency if a rule is broken unintentionally and without desire of harm, but Carried Home stands firm in its rules and punishment will ensue if rules are repetitively broken.
Mild swearing is permitted, though keep in mind that some members may be very young. Sexual innuendo and mild references are permitted, but no graphic content is allowed. Mild violence is permitted.
+ All members must be at least 13 years old.
We may discuss some controversial topics, or some that someone under the age of 13 would consider as so. This is not only our rule, but proboards as well.
+ If you are a minor, please do not post photographs of yourself on the forum or in the discord group.
Many members of the forum are 18+, so in the interest of safety we would rather not see photos of minors being posted. Please also remember not to reveal any personal details about yourself - e.g. your full name, your address, your school. Carried Home is a friendly forum that welcomes young roleplayers, but we are also a public forum (and the discord group can be accessed by anybody).

+ Only one account per person.
More than one account is not necessary, and creates confusion for many visitors. If found to have more than one account, the one that admins believe to not be your main will be deleted. If further rule breaking occurs, you will be banned.
+ Unrealistic eye and fur colors and/or patterns are accepted at the discretion of the staff.
No cats may have bright purple eyes, or pink fur. Some mildly unrealistic colors may be accepted, and odd patters will usually by accepted, but it's up to the staff to decide what is allowed. Male calicos and tortoiseshells have separate rules.
+ We control the litters.
Here on Carried Home to add to more variability, the staff choose how the breeding goes. You may pick your partner of course, and there's always things in the shop you can buy to further enhance the outcome, such as kitten colors and looks, but overall the staff choose the kits. You may only name them, unless you purchase enhancements with feathers.
+ No godmodeling or powerplay.
Godmodeling is having a perfect character, that is indestructible and can never do anything wrong. For example, a cat that is very strong, fast, and smart all at once with no weakness. Powerplay is when you begin to role play someone else's character, maybe not even knowing it, such as saying, "Splashkit smacked Turtlepaw across the face, causing a light bleeding." A much better way to role play would be, "Splashkit aimed a fast charged paw straight for Turtlepaw's nose".
+ No incest
+ We do allow LGBT cats
+ Self-harming and suicidal are permitted, but not encouraged.
There have been known to be these types of cats, however, you must first inform staff of your plans for this character. You must not romanticize it. And you must put trigger warnings at any time you are role playing the cat. It will be a hassle, we intend to make it that way, so do not role play it unless you really really feel you need.
+ Your cat (not you) may be punished for not following the warrior code, if caught.
You yourself will never be punished for an event that happens in role play, unless it breaks one of the site's main rules, not the warrior code.
+ Be kind and respectful.
At some point you might not like a fellow member. In time they may go away, or if they are breaking rules, you may report them. However, at no point do we tolerate rudeness and bullying.
+ Make friendships - don't exclude!
The most common reason members get frustrated and leave is because they don't get acknowledged or noticed. If there are new members, please recognize them and say hello. The more role players around, the better for the plot. We probably will never become huge, so it is encouraged to always say hello to the small amount of visitors we get.
+ No stealing or hacking.
If found to be stealing anything, including plots, images, posts, threads, templates, skins, or codes, immediate deletion of your account and banning of your IP address will ensue, the same goes for hacking. Hacking includes not only just the site and staff accounts, but any member accounts that are hacked into.
+ Please post in the correct areas.
We understand that mistakes happen, or being a new member can be confusing, and so we are flexible on this rule. We do not intend to create fear and refrain those from role playing because they are afraid they posted in the wrong spot. Administrators have no problem moving a post if it was unintentional. However, if staff finds that there are out of character posts in the role playing boards, or advertisement that is not in the plug board, then a warning will be sent.
+ English is the primary language.
We are flexible on this rule as well, but in our chats and our OOC boards Carried Home is English only, including text talk. Text talk is okay in both chat and OOC boards, but not in role playing boards. Characters are free to know sayings from other languages, but members must be able to understand the content of their posts.
