As much as he truly hated to say it, he was worried. With the recent deaths and disappearances of the violet eyed warrior's family, Greyears had begun to see less and less of him. In the beginning, the elder hadn't minded it so much. While he did have such a connection with Shadowgaze, it was unique to say the least. A couple morning of silence and sleep like he had had most every morning.. the warrior had hardly crossed his mind. That was, however, until the warrior crossed his path.
Greyears hadn't noticed how much Shadowgaze had been grieving. Were Wildwing's attempts to help him working? Greyears couldn't answer that question. But as soon as he did notice just how thin and just how frail his semi-bud had been getting, Greyears couldn't help but begin to feel obligated to help. Shadow had helped him many a times when the elder was down, and he was in his debt to return the favor.
For hours Greyears toyed with the idea, telling himself he would only to criticize himself. Shadowgaze would get over himself! But would he really? What sort of friend would the elder be if he couldn't bother to help his friends during their times of need. But he hadn't asked to be friends with Shadow. Shadow had simply forced it upon him.
But Greyears knew the pain of being alone. He understood the sharp ache of grief of losing your family. He had lost all of his own moons ago. He hardly knew the whereabouts of his last living specimen. He had been forgotten by her, and that was what utterly determined the deciding factor in his mental debate. No, he would not allow Shadowgaze to feel and deal with that same pain of abandonment by your loved ones.
And that was why the tom was stumbling over to where Shadowgaze lay. He would drop the rabbit in front of the violet eyed tom before simply collapsing on top of the younger in a cuddle party. It was not much of a cuddle party, but a cuddle party none the less.
