Nodding at Hickorynose's answer, she thought about it a bit to herself again. Really, she was glad to have joined Ivyclan. She wouldn't want to have joined any other clan, because while she wasn't very used to clan life yet, she'd felt accepted by almost everyone in the clan, despite her not expecting being very accepted. It was like she'd found her place, like she'd finally managed to fit in somewhere. She couldn't imagine abandoning her clan, and she'd only been here for a few moons. How could any cat abandon their clan if they were born there? It just didn't make sense to the she-cat.
"I could get an apprentice?" Now that was exciting. While she hadn't ever really mentored any other cats in anything, she felt like a natural teacher in some ways, so the fact that she could get an apprentice was exciting to her. Harestrike hadn't really even thought that she could get an apprentice one day, even though she did know that apprentices existed. Maybe it was because she wasn't a clan cat originally, or something like that, but it definitely did please her knowing that she could actually get an apprentice. Once she got a hang of clan life, she'd really want to mentor someone.
Distantly, she could hear the voices of other Ivyclan cats jabbering from the camp, and she looked around the small forest, thinking. "This seems like a nice place to hunt! I'll definitely come here sometimes if there's no one training here." All this talk of voles and squirrels and such was making her hungry, and something in her was almost glad that they were back at camp. However, she did like this little outing with Hickorynose, and it almost felt like she'd made a friend for the first time. "Thanks for showing me around! Should we go back now?"
