Mantiskit rushed from her nest to the nursery wall and back again, licking a different one of her siblings each time she passed. Being honest, she wasn't entirely sure which ones were her siblings anymore, but the odds were in her favour. The blurs went by her paws. The wind was in her fur. She felt like a warrior.

Her clumsy kit-sprint turned to a clumsy kit-tumble as she tripped and rolled like a mossball onto the ground. She was lucky enough to land in someone's soft nest. Mantiskit looked up at her brother, the one she'd fallen over, and giggled softly. A mischievous glint danced in her eyes. This one was definitely one of her siblings. Batting his whiskers with a small forepaw, she hopped back onto her paws.

'"Hey Weevilkit," she mewled, "I bet I can beat you with fighting!"
The sentence felt clunky in her mouth but she didn't have time to correct it. Not now, anyway. She was preparing for battle!

The tortoiseshell tom was in a deep sleep, one paw was twitching as he chased after the rabbit he had been hunting for ages now, as he ran faster in his dream his paw seemed to twitch faster in his nest, when he was about to pounce, paws reached forward he felt his breath push out of him as a kit tumbled over him. He bounced up quickly, heart racing. He turned to face his sister, his yellow eyes narrowed into little slits. Mantiskit was known for starting squabbles. Mostly with Stormwatchers kits. Heck he did too often arguing with Iriskit over who was better. Who cared if she was older. That didn’t mean anything. It was only by two moons, two moons didn’t make a difference when you are both warriors right? He could end up better than her. Just because you have some old dying leaders blood in your veins that meant nothing.

He stood up giving his pelt a shake loosing balance slightly as a paw bounced off his whiskers. There was a low rumble forming in the back of his throat before he whipped his head around snapping his jaws. ”ok enough of that already Mantiskit. Her paw bounced of his whiskers one more time which seemed to tickle his nose before giving a small sneeze sending him backwards. He heard Iriskit give a little laugh before letting out a huff. When he turned around his sister was in a battle position ready to fight. He smirked slightly and stood up on his paws, his black and orange tail waving in the air furiously. When his dad came into the nursery, which was quite often theses days, he always practiced his fighting skills on his tail, and biting his ears. He was BORN for this.

”You’re gonna lose Mantiskit. I’ve been practicing with dad.” He chuckled slightly rearing up on his hind paws and running towards his sister with an off balanced speed. Sure he stumbled here and there but quickly regained his momentum. Paws outstretched he aimed for his sister hoping to land a good blow. This would show Iriskit who was superior. Yes it would.
