Ravenpaw was padding around camp, doing nothing in particular. She had no one to talk to, and she had just finished training by herself. Her fur was all messed up, and she sat by the fresh kill pile, panting slightly. She began to lick the fur on her chest down, when the lonely warrior Creekheart caught her eye. Her heart sunk as she thought of reasons about why he may be sad. Poor Creekheart...
"Hey Creekheart! Come on over here!" She called beckoning at him with her tail.

Creekheart had been casually strolling into camp after a patrol with three other clanmates. The constantly distraught warrior sauntered towards the center of camp, his cyanic-azure gaze snapping towards a young apprentice by the name of Ravenpaw, if he recalled correctly. The muted tomcat nodded slowly, and rose to his mitts, making his way over to Ravenpaw. He sat down nearby her, dipping his head in greeting, his tassel flicking in a peaceful manner.

"Good morning Creekheart. How are you today?" Ravenpaw asked, though she new he wouldn't answer. She flicked her tail towards his, trying to be discreet. She leaned forward and dragged two squirrels out of the fresh kill pile. She pushed the first one to him and ducked her head to begin eating. Her tail flicked a little closer towards him, and she held her gaze on his face. Her heart ached again, wishing he would speak.

Creekheart hardly knew how he could possibly manage to answer her, but he nodded to say gesture that he was doing well. His acoustics pushed forwards, as if he was repeating the question by simple body language or signing it to her. Once a fresh kill of squirrel was pushed towards him, his stoic expression broke, and he dipped his cranium in thanks, a gentle smile plastering amongst his maw. He found it sweet and munificent of the young apprentice. He leaned downwards, noticing Ravenpaw's intense stare, as if she were pleading for him to do something. He tilted his head in question, as he lowered his apex to reach the apprentice's height.

“The new camp is pretty great huh?” Ravenpaw smiled at him, trying to at least make him grin a little.
“I’m glad we found such a nice place.”
She finished off her squirrel and sat up, grooming her wild fur. She flicked her tail a hair closer to his, keeping it out of his sight.

Creekheart watched the small feline, observing. He hadn't had a clue what she'd been trying to gesture, but what she'd mentioned had caused a slight, crooked, yet warm smile to plaster amongst his visage. He adored the new place. Creekheart had only taken few bites of the squirrel, as he wasn't so hungry. He just sat, and groomed his chest fur.

Ravenpaw’s heart pulled itself up a little, as he smiled slightly at her.
“I haven’t been able to take a good look around our borders yet.”
She smiled again.
“Would you take me?” She asked moving her tail back to herself.
-All I wanted was a smile at least, and that’s what I got. Now if only I could get him to say something.-

The tall, lissom, blue-grey tom heaved himself to his mitts, towering over the smaller feline. As she mentioned that she hadn't gotten a great look around the borders, Creekheart blinked. How? That's the first thing every apprentice should learn. They must learn the territory like the back of their paw. He thought. Before returning back to reality, he pondered more, since her mentor must be one lazy mouse-brain, I'll take gladly, without hesitation, take her. And with that, to Ravenpaw's question, he simply nodded. Of course he'd take her.

Ravenpaw sensed a smile coming on a quickly shoved down her feelings. No. Happiness would hold her back from her goals. She wasn’t trying to spend time with him just because. She was learning the borders so she would know if other clans were trespassing. Right?
“Thanks Creekheart. I haven’t spent much time outside. My mentor Dogear has been really busy.”

Creekheart watched Ravenpaw, noticing that she'd been holding back joy that she'd be going out to see the territory, filled with wonder and beautiful structures. Busy? Creekheart repeated in his thoughts, mentally rolling his eyes. He nodded to the small feline, turning his back as he begun to lead the way to exit camp, "A mentor should always have time for their apprentice." Creekheart stated, loud and clear, his vocals raspy and rather deep. With that, he continued onward, expecting Ravenpaw to follow and keep up with his pace. A mentor should make time for their apprentice, unless it's very important...He thought.
