Name Game

The Raven and Swan have always named their children after birds: there is no difference with this litter. However, as they have had several children before, there's a couple of names that would not make sense to be used.

Please Don't Use: Hawk, Raven, Crow, Swan, Shrike, Jay (These are Cats who are still alive)
TRY not to Use: Heron, Pheasant, Robin, Owl, Wren, Dove, Pigeon, Bird (These are Names of birds that are from children she's had that's passed...you CAN use them if you have ideas....but just be aware that they hold a lot of emotional clout, especially to Swan...and she may be prone to comparing them to the deceased).

Ideas for Birds:

Finch, Cardinal, Sparrow (Note: Their Maternal Grandmother was Sparrow), Magpie, Osprey, Falcon, Thrush, Swallow, Chickadee, Hummingbird, Stork, Egret, Turkey, Hen, Kite, Condor, Quail, Crane, Oriole etc.

Possible Names: Ospreykit, Chaffinchkit(If it's allowed on-site), Turkeykit
Personality: Friendly, if a bit devious. This kit will be very extroverted, and while he's not prone to being mean, he is a bit brash and likes to play tricks on others for fun. Luckily, he takes criticism and revenge pranks well, being rather thick-skinned, but unfortunately he's also a bit arrogant and tends to think he's in the right anyway. Even so, he wants to keep the peace, trying to solve disagreements with others by defusing them, and he is respectful of others' boundaries once he learns them. He can tend to be indulgent, such as sneaking a second mouse or spending some of his supposed training or patrol time sunning and frolicking instead of what he's supposed to do, and he can be a bit defiant of authority, even if he understands why they do what they do. He's very sympathetic, and learns fast. He's overall emotional and emotionally available to others, but strong enough on his own to be largely independent.
Possible Future Ideas: Maybe he'll be a bit of a reckless older kit and apprentice, and offend or alienate a lot of his peers, and spend his warrior hood trying to do better and be more humble. Could be up for lots of friendships and rivalry type stuff, or being the surviving one of a tragic accident. He would probably be slow to date but quick to flirt, leading to some possible romance drama.
Do I Have a Different Idea for Pictures: Not atm, but I'd probably make a drawn ref based on the picture. I really like Kit 4 or Kit 5 :'>

Possible Names: Thrushkit, Kitekit
Personality: Maybe he tends to stay to himself, maybe Swan & Raven can make him social with either his siblings or any other kits in Rootclan. Besides that he tends to stay to himself, he is very loyal to his family and friends.
Possible Future Ideas: Maybe even in his apprenticeship he tends to stay to himself, and his future mentor will need to force him to train with any other apprentices during their training and such. Maybe depending on how that goes during his apprenticeship maybe he grows a few friends and learns to be a bit more social or maybe he doesn't.
Do I Have a Different Idea for Pictures: Like kit 6. no better idea for a picture he too lovely as is.

Possible Names: Magpiekit, Kitekit, Quailkit, or Grousekit
Personality: An energetic kit by nature, he doesn't work by much of a moral compass, but rather by how he feels in the moment. A rash kit, he is quick to make a decision, but it is often a toss-up for whether the result is inherently good or bad. A true wild card, he is a harbinger of chaos. However, he is a sweetheart and incredibly affectionate, thus any misfortune or wrongdoing is never genuinely acted upon. He is loud and playful and a big fan of humor, so he's an easy cat to get along with if you can get past his wild tendencies.
Possible Future Ideas: As a wild one, I can easily picture him getting on the nerves of others and into a bit of trouble here and there. He's a social cat, so he'd do his best to interact with others and I can see him being very mobile in the camp and territory. A bit reckless, he likely would have whirlwind relationships with a few she-cats and toms alike, but would likely settle down with a best friend as would be best for him- most likely a tom since I imagine him developing a life partner-esque deal with a good buddy versus some pretty face.
Do I Have a Different Idea for Pictures: I honestly adore Kit 4; I'd probably draw custom art following that design

Possible Names: Robinkit | Wrenkit | Cranekit

Personality:
If named Robinkit/Wrenkit after Swan's past litter 
Depending on how Swan is reminded of her past kits, this kit would be extremely sensitive to the comparisons. Though it remains to be seen how her mother compares her (positive or negative expectations, whether or not she voices these similarities/differences, etc) she would likely grow up very perceptive to these differences in treatment. A sensitive little soul at heart, the comparisons could easily turn the little kit darker, making her smaller mind struggle to understand the more complex adult things at hand. Constantly feeling as if she has grown up in another cat's shadow, she would be working at her hardest at all times to excel in all aspects, perhaps feeling more serious than her siblings. A good deal of little kit/apprentice angst she would probably grow up a little troubled (though the extent of how troubled depends on her relationship with her namesake and mother.) Troubled can mean anything from an internal turmoil that does not affect her as deeply, to more serious angst that may cause her personality to become a little more misunderstood and distanced, perhaps even to the point of feeling she does not belong in her tribe & becoming a loner/joining a different clan. 

If named Cranekit/other & not affected by past litter
Quite the opposite of the above bio. Probably a bit of a daddy's girl & always prone to sticking close by her parents. More likely to be the victim of her brothers' antics and pranks than a conspirator. Commonly found stumbling between a parent's paws to hide from a siblings' teasing and prodding. Will grow out of the whiny/scaredy cat phase soon enough. Likely to ask a lot of questions, though all of them more perceptive than pointless. Catches onto things fast, with a big ole brain for such a little cat. 


Possible Future Ideas: Robinkit / Wrenkit
Again, depends on how you guys would like to go with this/Swan's feelings toward her daughter. Could be angsty and somewhat withdrawn as a kit/apprentice. If so I could see her only having issues spending time with her parents (perhaps just mother) and maybe lashing out and snapping at them a few times, but having fairly functional relationships with a few siblings (she may find some of her brothers a little brash for her tastes, rolling her eyes at them out of annoyance but not malice) and friends. These issues may straighten out into her warriorhood or remain strained her entire life. If the relationship starts more strained in her kithood, she may go as far as being much more reclusive growing up, perhaps verging on the point of apathy toward other cats, either staying in the clan for convenience and having a well known dismissive/not quite nasty attitude but an unpleasant one (which may make finding a mate for her a challenge, same with friends unless they're equally as mean spirited). Or she may leave the clan altogether, becoming a loner or just finding that Rootclan is not the clan where she belongs. 

Cranekit
Grows up to have enough of a mouth on her to taunt her brothers right back, or at least to tell them off. Becomes a perceptive, skilled hunter with an independent mind. Social, would have many friends. I can see her having something of a crush on a "popular" tom thats one sided or perhaps a short lived romance with him, before she has a bit of a heartbreak. Also absolutely the type to have a romance with a rogue/loner/cat from another clan and eventually leave Rootclan with her mate, in a spur of the moment type deal.

As much fun as it would be to have her named after ran or Robin my current leaning in towards crane… Just because having her as a victim of her brothers antics could be really fun and the fact that she would have crushes on popular times would make her sister shake just be like oh my gosh why am I related to you I can see them being polar opposite sisters growing up and honestly looking at that white cat or mostly white cat I should say it just makes me think of a graceful little crane… If you’re OK with it @ava what are your thoughts?
